  1. No, you're not. Leave it alone. Painting fireplaces... sheesh. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. This thread exists because of his perception. An L&B type thread may have existed if his perception were different. It is the responsibility of the store to ensure the customer leaves with the right perception. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  3. http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/local/long-overdue-years-after-fatal-crash-caney-kan-soldier-s/article_573b7524-124d-5387-bd93-dee971bb6483.html I was part of the Honor Ride yesterday to take Pvt. Kittle from Tulsa to Caney, KS. Services are tomorrow and we will ride up for those also. It was very emotional. For 100 miles, both sides of the highway were lined with people. People with flags, with their hands over their hearts, Truckers stopped on the other side of the median blowing their air horns, veterans saluting, firetrucks on overpasses with the ladders raised and flags massed. The bikers honor line extended over two miles. We rode by his old home. His wife is still alive and never remarried. They had a daughter and several grandchildren; all of whom we met. If this country learned nothing else from Vietnam; they learned one thing. To honor and respect the servicemen and women and to NVR4GT. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  4. I'll turn around to make sure they're dead. Then, I'll call the Skyravn and let her know whats for dinner. She's a vet, so she takes care of the skinnin. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  5. OK. So not exactly a vRod... I get it. shorter front end and aluminum frame. But, very compatible in styling If nothing else, the vRod posed some inspiration on the frame. (pics). Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  6. Even if the customer's timing was off, a simple, "Let me talk with some folks and see what we can do" instead of an ass chewing. And, even if the reserve repack issue wasn't an option; extend the offer for something else in kind. Hell, call the customer's DZ and put a couple of jumps on their account. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  7. I'm not sure if this is a bug or with the recent pic upload changes if I am missing something. I went to upload a pic in a forum thread. Selected the Pic (Browse) and did the "Upload Attachment." Just as I was about to post; noticed the file was not there. See pic. So, I did it again; same result. Nothing. Then I wondered if the file size was too large and looked at the properties and it was almost a meg, so I changed it to 156K. It uploaded fine. There used to be a "File size too large" warning after one attempted to do so, but it appears to be missing now. Bug, Feature or change in policy? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  8. Sounds like you need a big strong man to carry you around, fix your meals, give you a nice bath and a massage. I'd offer, but I'm riding the Harley and according to my NDA cannot divulge my location "Dude." OTOH; Good old fashioned B&W movies with some wine might help. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  9. 1. First issue - That's got the Harley name; but Pic 1 is a Harley (i.e., "Diehard Harley"). 2. OK, so you took a vRod and put an electric pack in it. 3. There will be a market for bar hopping city folk, but not the hardcore rider. 4. Get it up to at least 100 miles on a charge to be on par with the smallest gas tank for refueling. 5. Am I understanding correctly that it requires a 220 charge capability? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  10. IMO You shouldn't have had to ask. The store should have offered the free reserve repack (or something in advance) and paid the rigger. Everyone always gives accolades to L&B about great customer service with that of a quality product is what keeps loyal customers and the customers become the sales team. L&B gets it. In this case; the store is not the manufacturer, so their brand will be quality of service. They made plenty of margin on full retail to gladly and graciously accept a $60.00 repack request instead of chewing out a customer's ass. I think they missed the boat on this one. Instead of someone being a cheerleader for the store; they now have a naysayer. If the customer dissuades ten people with his story, that's 70K in opportunity revenue - gone. 14. Well if you've been following the news, you know there are thousands of Honduran Children illegally entering the US to escape the current gang warfare. So far, the administration's position has been one of exporting them back to and re-uniting them with their families. This is not a US problem. This is a Catholic Church problem. Even when I was down there in 85-86... it didn't take a mathematician to watch as the Priests walked around El Centro in the evenings encouraging families with 3-5 children to have more. The country was decimated at that time by war, poverty, disease (i.e., Polio was rampant), the economy, etc. It was just a matter of time. So, Ship them to the Vatican. Let the Pope see what the continuous mantra of making more babies does in a country with dwindling resources. Or, better yet, Dig out some of that more than Ft. Knox gold and treasures you have buried beneath the Vatican and send help. Maybe not. Such beautiful children from a Latino culture and these are their early childhood memories. Back then was my second disenchantment and withdrawal from the church, I recently tried going back. I withdraw again. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=honduran+children+crossing+us+borders ETA: Getting pissed = fat fingers. 17. I like - Brooklyn Leigh Pritchett It's different while still being popular to name your child after a city, town or state. Which a lot of last names are derived from... And, I've never thought of Quade as being from or conceived in Gloucestershire. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  18. Brenda makse an appointment to see her doctor, because she is worried about her husband's bad temper. Doctor Thomas asks: "What's the problem?" Brenda says: "Doctor, I don't know what to do. Every day my husband Jimmy seems to lose his temper for no reason. It's beginning to scare me." The Doctor says: "I have a cure for that. When it seems that Jimmy is getting angry, just take a glass of water and start swishing it in your mouth. Just swish and swish but don't swallow it until he either leaves the room or calms down." Two weeks later Brenda returns to the doctor looking fresh and happy. Brenda says: "Doctor that was a brilliant idea! Every time my husband started losing it, I swished with water. I swished and swished, and he calmed right down! How does a glass of water do that?" Dr Thomas says: "The water itself does nothing. It's keeping your mouth shut that does the trick." 23. DoJ Bureau of Justice Statistics. Guns don't start out illegal. They start out legal and somewhere along the line hundreds of thousands each year make the move from legal gun owners to criminals. The criminal classes are being armed by legal gun owners. The DoJ does not maintain statistics on the legality of weapons; that is the ATF's job. The DoJ collects, analyzes, publishes, and disseminate information on crime, criminal offenders, and victims of crime. The hundreds of thousands you talk about are... the ~200,000 weapons that are stolen. In your defense; The ATF is cracking down on straw purchases (which account for about 2% of guns used in crimes). There are tougher laws coming into legislature about ownership and securing one's weapons properly and being criminally responsible if one's weapons are stolen and the appropriate security measures not used.
