You were right. I clicked inside those threads and since then they have "reset." Learn something new everyday. Thanks. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

From those wonderful people so concerned about election fraud...

There's no double standard here. Don't accuse me of that when you've seen how many times I've stood for your side of the aisle. Did you read the last line of what I wrote? I'd call bullshit if it were the same article about Democrats. You know that. Horrible journalism for any side. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -
It is no longer illegal in the US to wear the uniform and is a form of "Free Speech." It is illegal to wear the uniform and commit a fraud while wearing it. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

It was climate change that brought asian carp and quagga mussels to the Great Lakes. Climate change can transport fish from the Caspian Sea to Lake Huron. My goodness. Is there anything climate change can't do? Ouch. I've got a kidney stone. Damn you climate change! Damn you to hell! And people wonder why I have a problem with alarmism and attribution... They were talking about algae growth as the invasive specie. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

I highlighted the article as I was reading... This tactic just might violate campaign finance laws, which are murky at best. But these Twitter accounts seem to suggest that coordination happens, However, if this information was meant to be only shared between specific parties for the purpose of coordinately campaign messaging, "If it truly requires some sort of Ovaltine decoder ring You have to further meet the requirement of no pre-arrangement or coordination. But it is the burden of the government to demonstrate that." This also isn't the first time political campaigns have posted information online to help out their supporting super PACs. Many campaigns [meaning every party?] have published detailed messaging and strategy memos on their websites, which are then picked up by outside groups to turn into targeted television and online ads. ...there is little chance of the FEC filing a complaint against the GOP for this practice. How this even made it to print made it questionable. Some homework on the "staffwriter"with one year of experience - is actually a Blogger whose motivation is to, "Brings in 150K+ unique page views to the site quarterly." http://www.linkedin.com/pub/tess-vandendolder/47/b71/16 In short, if this had been a Democrat smear; I'd have called bullshit on it also. You may want to revisit that... The Toll of Climate Change According to the National Climate Assessment, "climate change will exacerbate a range of risks to the Great Lakes, including changes in the range and distribution of certain fish species, increased invasive species and harmful blooms of algae, and declining beach health."1 The impacts of climate change on water systems—changes in precipitation patterns and intensity, greater incidence of drought, increasing evaporation and water temperatures, reductions in lake and river ice, changes in soil moisture and runoff—are increasingly evident in the Great Lakes region.2 These shifts are magnified by other factors, including aging and failing infrastructure, runoff pollution, and invasive species. For me; it goes to intent. We have "Posers" and "re-enactors." There are several groups in the US that put on WWI & II reenactments and on Veterans Day (your Remembrance Day); it's not unusual to see those re-enactors wear their uniforms to show respect for those who went before us. Including those who simulate the WWII Pathfinder units. Now if you see a 30,40, 50 year old guy wearing a WWII Pathfinder uniform; its not a stretch to know their intent. However, if one is wearing the uniform of something between Vietnam and now; but their uniform and/or patches are not accurate; it's safe to say they're posers. And, on a final note, there are those like me who served and wear the uniform of their day (properly) as a Veteran on Veterans day. Some wear only the blouse with their rank & units, some put their ribbons on the blouse, etc. As for his "punishment," he was arrested and now it's up to your courts to decide. I do my reading in the mornings and came across this: http://www.zdnet.com/six-ways-to-protect-yourself-from-the-nsa-and-other-eavesdroppers-7000016860/ Note: I checked my Location History on Google. Nothing. I turn on my phone's GPS when I need it and then turn it off. Unfortunately, WiFi and Bluetooth can also be used to pick up on your location. Which had an embedded recommended reading of: http://www.zdnet.com/an-america-without-privacy-7000014278/ Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

I don't know if you remember; but even this mostly right-winger was enlightened while watching the contrails of aircraft early one morning. I may not be a scientist; but I have to be open-minded enough to ask the question: When you have this emitted into the atmosphere: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJ_P1UaBbds This many times a day (14,000 over the US) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ystkKXzt9Wk#t=45 Then add this to the equation: http://www.commondreams.org/headlines05/1030-09.htm And it's something that we can't bury our heads in the sand about. As mentioned, Billions of people on the planet breeding billions more... We're either going to have to go down or up for survival. It's not JUST about climate change. It's about environmental change. My flight leaves in an hour. I'll arrive in Paris at 5:00 PM your time tomorrow. Where do I go from there or do you want to meet me in Paree? How do I get my 2015 Harley Davidson Road Glide over there? Happy Birthday Nat. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

We're not shocked; we're angry that each pervasive layer uncovered leads to additional layers. Every time someone uncovers surveillance on law-abiding citizens without a warrant; "they" become more emboldened to figure out ways to circumvent the 4th Amendment. It is an affront to our liberties and causes us to respect our "elected" officials even less. We just saw a sweeping change in DC and around the country and the best that Harry Reid can come up with is, "The American public is telling us they want s to work together more." No. That's not what we're telling you. We're telling you we're tired of the government as status quo. Personally, I don't think the change will occur until everyone realizes that a shift in party weight in DC is not the answer. All that does is shift the cronyism. Everyone thinks their representative is the best and what's needed is a complete changing of the guard in both houses. As an Attorney, you know that genie CAN be put back in the bottle. All it requires is a cease & desist bill to pass the House & Senate along with independent oversight to ensure it not only stops; but that some overzealous power hungry turd doesn't start it back up again. "We" have to demand that. We; the people have to make the change and demand that it stop. We can't just bury our heads in the sand, shrug our shoulders and say, "I don't care; I'm not doing anything wrong" or the "What are you afraid of if you're not doing anything wrong" mentality. I was in before you and long after you got out. You were in during the height of the Cold War. You have any idea the threat of nuclear engagement going on at that time? I do. Until 1977; I was on a nuclear base in Germany as an Nuclear Operations & Intel Sergeant. Not a week went by that we didn't raise the missiles. Exercise or real shit? We didn't know until the missiles got put back in the barn. It was one of the most tumultuous times in our history and you signed up for it. The only reason you may not "feel" like a vet is because the "Cold War Medal" has been killed numerous times over the past 20 years. But, you served while this was going on... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_War_%281979%E2%80%9385%29 Yes, you are a Veteran. And, you served during a time that fear kept peace. You were a part of that peace. And, as the sign entering into Ft. Lewis states, "Our Job is Peace." Know that you helped get the job done. Wear the title of Veteran proudly. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

I am not a scientist; but, I am well-educated, well-read and not only have the right, but the responsibility to ask questions. Usually, I will read about those things of which I am ignorant and if I ask those questions of a scientist; that is their opportunity to educate me, not ridicule me. If they choose to ridicule me, then they lose credibility. Not me. If I cite sources and you have others that are disparate to what I've presented; then again - take that opportunity to enlighten me with additional reading. Snarky comments from the aloof self-annointed, you should take my word for it "because I said so" crowd does nothing to help me want to learn more about their position and why. One of my degrees is in communications - the social science. One of the most important things I've learned is - the best thing we can tell people is, "Why." Some years ago; Billvon told me the "whys" about climate change and I embarked on a year long exploration into global warming. My position on the matter changed albeit not as deeply vested as "We're in crisis; we must act yesterday or we face doom tomorrow." More along the lines of, "You know, we might want to start working towards a solution that does not only affect the possibility/probability called global warming, but the world's environment as a whole." And for those who recommend "Flippin burgers" as a direction, they should know that, "The FAO report found that current production levels of meat contribute between 14 and 22 percent of the 36 billion tons of "CO2-equivalent" greenhouse gases the world produces every year. It turns out that producing half a pound of hamburger for someone's lunch a patty of meat the size of two decks of cards releases as much greenhouse gas into the atmosphere as driving a 3,000-pound car nearly 10 miles."
