    I have about 130ish jumps on rounds from the old days, but won't give advice over the Internet about reserve procedures. You do need to do that with someone experienced up close and personal. There are a couple of partial malfunctions in which you do not cutaway, so let them teach you the right way. If you have to land your round reserve it will go something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4D2_RZZ8hx4 Learn to PLF from the older Army Airborne guy at your DZ and then your practicals from a height of no less than 6' The parts that hurt after you get up will teach you what you're doing wrong.

    It would be inappropriate to put that particular Gremlin Bell in his casket. The Gremlin Bell is given by a friend and placed on the bike for safe travels. The Gremlin Bell is to protect you - not him. It should go on your next bike. Cause technically; it did its job. Some - even one would find it distasteful to send him on his final ride with that bell for all eternity. Find something else or get a new gremlin bell. patches, club coins, something you and he shared together of importance. You're not at fault, you're not to blame, he chose the route.     First, I used to be on the global warming is bullshit path. But, not being a definitive left or right, black or white have been doing some layman research for about 10 years now. I think neither position needs to say right or wrong and stick their heads in the sand on that position, but work together towards a truth about the future.     If I'm reading this correctly; based on the Instructor's rating as an SL/I, when he went out with the student, the Instructor was then acting in his capacity as Coach and did exactly as the IRM instructs. Signal, pull your own. An SL/I is not supposed to act in the capacity of an AFF/I and pull for the student. No, he did not do as the IRM recommends. As coach, the procedure is wave off, if student is still unresponsive, turn and track to gain sufficient separation and deploy by 3500'. Deployment being the final signal that it's time. Doing a practice pull isn't a signal a student is trained to respond to, and waiting til 2500' and deploying in place is stupid and dangerous. You're right, I did not read it correctly.
