  1. And, sometimes I feel conflicted arguing about the deaths of children by guns to a group that believes in abortion.
  2. Bro, according to your own profile - you made no such post between this rant and May 28th. . https://www.dropzone.com/profile/17566-akarunway/ If you're that unhappy with the new format; you can always invoke a self-imposed ban

So, are you saying the British Prime Minister is positioning us for war with Mexico? Or is it just that; Hitler made Number 2 on a toilet, Trump makes Number 2 on a toilet; therefore Trump is a Nazi. Thanks for stopping in with yet another one-liner zing without actually contributing to the dialogue.

Yeah. Sorry about that. I connected the dots afterwards and didn't let you know.

It's nothing grandiose and the 'newness" can be interpreted as building a larger footprint on an existing foundation with a penalty clause. A codicil of enhanced numbers on both of their borders, ensuring for the health, wealth and safety on that side of the border until the asylum hearings on this side can occur - with a penalty clause if those things don't happen. On a similar note: We as Americans (both sides) should look at the advantages of this. No more argument about whether its illegal to enter or show up, HOPEFULLY, a methodical method to entry, and a reduction in illegal crossings (~150,000 in May and ~610,000 YTD) is a bit much. And, that's just those that were caught. Anyone who says we can sustain that over a period of time IMO doesn't want to face some hard facts about the situation.
  8. I met this "same" guy. He went to a "top-secret" combined military SL & HALO course at Ft. Bragg. According to his DD214 - he had two months and two days in the military. Just about enough time to maybe complete basic and outprocess from the military.

So, even the Times article that everyone is touting as the "go to" for their position that it was agreed to months ago acknowledges, that Mexico's pledge to deploy up to 6,000 national guard troops to its southern border with Guatemala "was larger than their previous pledge," and that Mexico's "agreement to accelerate the Migrant Protection Protocols could help reduce migrants in the United States by giving the country a greater ability to make asylum-seekers wait in Mexico" The Mexican government also dragged its feet on providing the shelter, health care, job benefits and basic care that would allow the United States to send the migrants over. The new deal reiterates that Mexico will provide the “jobs, health care and education” needed to allow the program to expand.

    Welcome

You ever go back in dropzone.com time; just to see? All of this seems so long ago; yet so close. Not only has the world changed, but our world of skydiving has changed. The kids that were born after this February 25th, 2001 post - are later this year; going to college or training for the same war we had 18 years ago. And, for 18 years; dropzone.com has been a part of our lives. Keeping up with lifelong friends, learning more things about skydiving than any one person can teach at a single DZ - from a vast international network of experience. If anyone asks - you can tell Zuckerberg that this was the first social media platform. Thank you for this wonderful place to call home, Sangiro.

Right. And here we are 24 hours later - and, maybe not so much. Please help me understand the correlation between the two comments.
  12. When I look at my profile; I have the ability to "Ignore [myself as] User." If selected: Do I still Exist? I think not; therefore I can't? Just a little morning humor guys. I saw that I have the ability to ignore myself and the brain went one-liners on me.

You may wish to research this a bit further.
  14. Very well put. I was a fan of the Icarus 330/365 during my time as a TI
  15. It could be that he's not logged in. So far, my experience with this new platform has been, 1) not to receive any notifications while logged out, 2) to only receive notifications if someone uses the quote selection, and 3) no email notifications received at all. I do have all the selection switches set to on and reported it right after the migration - but it's not been addressed as of yet.
  16. So, if I was that malicious; I wouldn't have posted the source. I replied to SkyDekker because he made the allegation of "International Law: in more than one post, but posted no source. Even challenged others to use their google-fu while not able to use his own. In short, he made and continues to make statements without a source, I found no "International Law" as he inferred. On a final note; if you're going to quote something; then know to quote International Humanitarian Law - which has more clout. Don't send everyone on a wild goose chase thru google-land. If you make a claim - then cite your source. Don;t just tell everyone to go look it up. Course, he'll be along shortly to tell us that's what he meant. .
  17. "There is no comprehensive legal instrument at the international level that establishes a framework for the governance of migration." https://www.iom.int/international-migration-law
  18. There was a significant discussion on this several years ago, but I'm having trouble finding it with a search. Most Instructors wouldn't treat you any different if you tipped or not. Many would accept a gracious offer. If you offer and one turns you down; please don't be offended. Some choose to keep their students at arm's length.
  19. There is a business model out there that if any leader in the Central and South American countries would use - it would solve both their problems and ours. It's not a quick fix, but a plan. One that we could work with them on.
  20. The war was over in 2003. After that; it became an occupation. The only wars we should consider is those in which we go; stay there until we beat the shit out of them; then exit. No rules of engagement, no lawyers making infantry decisions, No puppet strings from D.C., no more re-building after they get the shit kicked out of them. In/destroy/exit/done. But, that's just my $.02
  21. There's many more lower wage earners than there are those making 1 million/annum. So, as a category in the workforce; the wage gains were the greatest.
  22. Ironically enough; he died of the same cardiac problem as the lady in the ambulance he pulled over ten years earlier. And, some say, "There is no God."
