You missed quite a few, Bill: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_conspiracy_theories_promoted_by_Donald_Trump ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Today, I read that Trump went to a golf course in Scotland. He didn't go to sit with world leaders to discuss an end to wars or tariff negotiations. He took his sons and they opened a new golf course in his name - at a cost of around 10 million to the taxpayer. If I were to use the government credit card for personal reasons; I'd be court martialed. So, yeah. The CFRs don't apply to him.

Wrong site - you signed up for OnlyPans. Nobody wants cast iron anymore. :)

The smartphone and media upload platforms has created a generation of selfie-loving narcissists. And, then some genius said, "Let's pay them for their content." Which only perpetuates the problem.

Therefore, any borderline posts (like constant, repetitive flaming on one topic or constant sniping at another poster) _may_ get a warning before stronger action is taken. https://www.skydiveforum.com/forums/topic/239559-read-this-before-posting-or-reading-here/ It's been a rule since 2005

It's interseting to see "Christian" parents move from a fundamentalist doctrine to a more Episcopalian format. The Episcopalain church has been accepting of LGBTQ+ since the 70's. I have a sister who is gay and like me was raised Catholic. She changed to the Episcopalian church after coming "out" in the 80s and has been happy since. Their doctrine is more about explaining Genesis verse 27 as God is maker of all that is, from one extreme to the other, that spans all creation from X to Y, not simply X and Y. Even in catholicism; Monachoparthenoi, saints who are initially described as female by their hagiographers, but transition to a male (often monastic) identity – are present in every late antique and medieval Christian tradition. The textual and artistic renderings of these figures offer a comparative key to conceptualizing trans bodies and trans souls across geographical and chronological boundaries. https://maryjahariscenter.org/blog/trans-sainthood-in-translation-ca-4001500 And, let's not forget that Angels are genderless (It's a long debate). Unfortunately, Evangalists took a more black and white approach - Thank you Oral Roberts. But in 2013, the Christian world took pause when Pope Francis said, "If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge?" Sometimes change is made by a single leadership statement.

Actually slept in today. TY I said Trump. Huffman was anti woke, dei, immigrants, lesbians spoke to his daughter, etc. etc. His move came whilst Trump was changing all that - so . . . Not having heard of this shared values visa - looked it up. Russia is purporting to be the land of Christianity, Judaism, Islam. Given their history, given Putin's background, really? Yeah, so fuck him.
-
Except they moved earlier this year and the mighty savior Trump was saving his day by ridding us of Woke, DEI, Immigrants, et. al.
-
He's a traitor plain and simple. He joined the army to escalate his citizenship in Russia. Fuck him.
-
Better to fuck the belief system that sucked him in and fed him the crap that inspired him to turn his back on his country. Bullshit. He could have done what generations have done before him. Protest, fight back, etc. He didn't believe in our system . . . He believed in theirs
-
Then, why should you believe that?

Morning, Phil. Nigel was referring to a potential health issue, not a coup d'é·tat.
-
Agreed. The 25th amendment would make that a pretty safe bet.

I watched a video this morning of a Tornado in Nebraska. Most tornadoes occur in May & June. 50 years ago; Oklahoma was known as Tornado alley since most occured here. Over that time I've noticed the geographic expansion across several states. Don't know if anyone has ever seen an F3-5 tornado in person. I've seen two F5s each 1/2 mile wide - it was no less than intimidating. This expanding footprint, increased number & frequency of high F tornados, should cause us concern. https://www.accuweather.com/en/severe-weather/tornado-alley-has-been-expanding-over-the-past-50-years-new-study-finds/1657774

OK. Fortune News said Dostyevsky said it. The quote still matters. https://lareviewofbooks.org/article/dostoyevsky-misprisioned-the-house-of-the-dead-and-american-prison-literature/

No argument on any of your points. We've had this discussion about the _right_ approach. I just watched the news this morning and saw the silliness in California, beat downs here and there, continuous violations of the constitituion by law enforcement (no surprise) and just got my pissed off for the day and wanted to vent. We see pics of soldiers in foreign countries giving children water, food, etc. while here we see children getting scared by those to serve and protect and it just pisses me off. /rant II

So, I _think_ we're all pretty much of a like mind when it comes to what's been happening with the deportation situation. Rolling up on someone because they're brown and demanding papers until it escalates to a beat down. ICE/CBP/Police take an oath to uphold the constitution not unlike soldiers. Soldiers are taught to refuse an illegal order. Unfortunately, less senior police/soldiers get the class, but become leary of its execution. Think Abu Ghraib. I blame the leadership. Yesterday - I realize I'm on the opposite side of most of you when it comes to Illegal entry, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do something. We had to have court intervention to do the right thing. There is a constitution and a code of federal regulations for a reason. There have been so many errors in the past 20 years. Not developing more points of entry, not securing the borders, no vetting process, etc. etc. But, none of it matters if we as a nation do not do things the right way until we are here. “A society should be judged not by how it treats its outstanding citizens but by how it treats its criminals.” ~Fyodor Dostoyevsky /rant.

Ummmm . . . In the early 18th century, fruitcake was outlawed entirely throughout Continental Europe. These cakes were considered as “sinfully rich.” : ) Have a better day, Mark.

Early 70s. Every Friday night. Followed by cinnamon toast for dessert. Mom was the queen of casseroles. I think she invented Hamburger Helper. :)
