i leave santiago friday night, i´ll be in miami sat-sun, get back to chicago monday morning, and then i hope to hit SDC tuesday to take advantage of the longest day of the year! oh, and val, thanks for the concern!!

i just saw in a chilean newspaper that it indeed was 7.9...i must´ve seen a very preliminary report. but it was far from here so no harm done! of course, given that there was the tropical storm/hurricane near florida and then the earthquakes here...i think i need to get my ass back to chicago ASAP!

I heard about the quake on the news, but they were saying here it was in the 5´s. Im in Santiago, quite a bit away from where it happened so we didn´t feel a thing.

Sam still skydives, tho only occasionally. She just bought a house and is going to Italy sometime this year so she has no money. She was out in Chicago in april and we did a few jumps at SDC and CSC. im headin out to pittsburgh the weekend of july 16 to visit her and maybe get some jumps at skydive PA. (southwest had some really really cheap fares from chicago to pittsburgh for a while). I personally havent had much money either to make it to california, being in school again and everything, but im thinkin this winter break might be a good time to do it. by the same logic...you should come out to chicago for summerfest/wffc!

hahahahaha yeah...that, and i´m not as inclined to spend all my weekend nights at the dz like i used to be. im in Chile till the 20th, so i´ll let you know when i´m back in Chicago.
