Older Jump Planes in FAA’s Sights
crotalus01 replied to 3331's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
whatever... the FAA seems to have no problem that the 727s we fly at FedEx were mostly built in the early '60s. i bet one of those puppies going down would cause a hell of a lot more damage than your typical jumpplane. As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD... -
too bad there isn't an airplane called the Twin Beaver...imagine the possibilities edit to add that i thought the vid was okay, i majored in film in college and have produced and ADed a couple of indie features so i totally understand the concept of a quickie edit job to get the feel of the product.

Anyone here not interested in getting a tattoo?
crotalus01 replied to Muenkel's topic in The Bonfire
i have 8 tattoos, and while i cant say i regret getting them, having to do it again i would not get any. all of my tattoos save one were done before tattoos were the "in" thing to do. As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD... -
words are just words to me. sometimes nothing gets the point across like profanity, i.e. if i say "darn it, i am so mad" it just doesnt have the same impact as "i am so fucking pissed off". course its up to you to allow your kids to say it or not, but understand they are filthy-mouthed when you and other adults are not around regardless. best explanation i have seen on use of profanity is the courtroom scene in From The Hip (Judd Nelson movie) when he argues before the judge that the word "asshole" is unique in its meaning and should be allowed in court. edit to add this post is in no way shape or form an endorsement to watch that drek. just because it has one good scene you shouldnt subject yourselves to the mindnumbing other 90 minutes. if you want to go cheaper, and he has a PC, then get him the PC game Warhammer 40K - its a real time strategy/war simulator. its pretty intensely violent though, so make sure its cool with the parents...and it does have the Space Marines (or you can play as the orcs). 8 gauge PA, 12 gauge nipples, 10 gauge septum, 6 gauge tongue, 14 gauge lip....took them all out a couple of years ago. could probably put back a smaller gauge size in my tongue and cock with no trouble, but i wouldnt. too many potential snag points As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD... -
Ron Jeremy is not in Deep Throat, it's Harry Reems. for some real insight into what happened when DT opened, rent the documentary "Inside Deep Throat" which was just released on DVD. If you have never seen the movie, be sure you rent (or buy) the NC-17 version, not the R rated one (of course, only the R is available if you try to rent from your local BlockBuster - those sorry censor-friendly fucks). plenty of parents out there who dont give two shits what their kids watch. i see absolutely nothing wrong recommending Band of Brothers to the kids mom for (heres the catch) parental consideration based on the kids interests. hell, i cant tell you how many times i have been in a R rated film that was TOTALLY unappropriate (to me) for anyone under 17 and sitting one row up was a mother father and 9 year old (most recently Hostel - those who have seen it please tell me if you think a 9 year old should see that twisted shit). bottom line is she should have reviewed the material before the kid watched it - with that series she could have made her mind up from a single episode so throw out that bullshit about it being too long to watch it all As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD...

yes, no doubt. i paid $500 for my car (92 Thunderbird), paid $2,050 for my rig plus $500 for a suitable sized reserve - it came with a PD160 so i upsized to a 193 (wasnt comfortable jumping a reserve loaded at 1.4:1). and when you count the money for reserve repacks, cypres maintenance, and other minor alterations, my rig is worth WAY more than my car. i take better care of my rig too As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD...

because in Times Square they are not all trying to squeeze into one or two openings at the same time. if that were the case you would see the same kind of results. i seem to recall reading several reports of people getting crushed to death at Who and Rolling Stones concerts.... spanking is perfectly acceptable IMO. beating is not. the difference is between pain and injury. pain teaches valuable lessons. as long as the spanking is contained to the back of the upper thighs/buttocks and doesnt leave lasting damage (welts are okay IMO, bruising is suspect). having said that, i got my ass blistered many times as a kid. i learned to stop doing whatever it was that resulted in said pain. and i wouldnt go back and change any of it. What is the purpose of a condemned's "Final Statement?"
crotalus01 replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
the final statement is a holdover from the early days in this country when capital punishment was as likely administered by a mob as the state. its a last chance to protest your innocence, or in some cases to confess. nowadays the condemned is more likely just to have diarrhea of the mouth.... There will be a rapture (being caught up into the clouds with Jesus) - 1 Thess. 4:14-17 most definitely throws this one right out the door. this is a bit complicated so bear with me: the problem comes in the translation of the word "Clouds". clouds does not mean Heaven, it means clouds. Strongs #109: the clouds belong to the Earth's atmosphere, not the Heavens. this is the first and blessed ressurection, held in two brief stages as Christ returns just prior to the 1,000 year reign. Christ made things as plain as He could in John 17:15 where He prays that believers are NOT removed from the Earth, thus eliminating any chance of an alleged "rapture". verse 17: "Then we who are alive and remain at His return shall be caught up together with them onto the clouds, to meet the Master in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Master." therin lies the problem with the rapture theory: rapture says we are changed in the twinkling of an eye and go to Heaven with the Master - the Word says that Christ returns to Earth to rule; Earth, NOT heaven. the new kingdom is right here, not in heaven. anyways, i am tired and stressed out (my uncle just had triple bypass surgery last night) so i am done for tonight, i would highly recommend you check out the Restoration Scriptures True Name Edition. its a transliteration of the Hebrew text with many helpful footnotes explaining the translation problems from Greek and other languages. or check out http://www.lionlamb.net/index.html even if you think i am nuts it will give you food for thought. IF you had 2 Airline Tickets to anywhere in the world....
crotalus01 replied to Kid_Icarus's topic in The Bonfire
Bhutan would rock, just too expensive for me realistically. and you actually can get a visa for DPRK (North Korea's official designation) if you are American, i know a few people who have gone. they actually said the gov't tour kicks ass, its just the fact that you are being treated like royalty and being fed like 6 huge meals a day while you KNOW that half the country is starving that just really fucks up the whole vibe. i have seen starving people first hand on several continents...the homeless people in my country (USA) live like fucking KINGS compared to some of the places i been and seen not to make light of being homeless in the USA but the truth sometimes hurts..... actually it not only affects doctrine, but also treasured traditions. one example: celebration of birthdays in the Hebrew text is always depicted in a negative light; traditional Judaism celebrates by remembering the passing of a person, not the birthday. Christmas is a "celebration" of the birth of Christ, but the roots of almost all of the traditions of Christmas are steeped in paganism. nowhere in the bible (in any translation) does it say to celebrate the birth of Christ. but to get specific, in the Hebrew transliteration it is made explicitly clear that when Christ commands "Do this in remembrance of Me", he is referencing the celebration of Passover - which is the celebration of the freeing of all of Israel from the Egyptians - which in itself is a forshadowing of the death of Christ which frees all of the world that chooses to believe. if you dig deeper, you will find a passage (i forget where, will post again if i find it) that says "the traditions of men are an abomination to Me". Christmas is a tradition. anyways, there is a whole lot more than what i have just brought up. i usually don't bother because people just think you are nuts if you think Christmas is wrong, but since you asked.... for very specific and detailed info check out http://www.toolong.com/index.htm at the very least it will make you think about some of the teachings of the modern church.
