What type of car stereo is it, how old, model number, etc. If its an older stereo, it may not read CDR's very well. Have you tried cleaning the Laser head on your Car stereo yet? -Jason

I would suggest you hang out at the DZ on whenever possible. And train for your Dive when your out there. This will keep things fresh in your mind and it shows your making an effort to jump. Some DZ's are cool and not trying to milk students for every penny! I have gone past 30 days twice, once because of bad weather, and the other becuase of a long lasting sinus cold and the 9-11 events. I would also go through the emergeny procedures whenever you get a chance. the place I jump allows you to go through emegency procedures anytime they are doing it. It has been nice, I have done it twice since my first training. Right now I am not current because of fundage, got laid off. I have not been making an effort to go to the DZ because I know I cannot afford to jump, so I know I will have to do a retrain! Just show some effort! you'll be fine! -Jason

I made out pretty good this year, got a few CD's. Sublime Greatest hits, The new Creed CD, and The new Garth Brooks CD. Got some shoes and some cool shirts. a Leathermen from my grandparents. A lift ticket for Sierra At Tahoe, and my girl friend bought be another AFF (L3 or repeat of L2, I am not current) ticket, I am gonna jump again sooner than thought! She rocks! I am going to take your advice on the LA weekly, I am getting ready to leave this office now. The amusement parks sound cool, but since you mentioned snow I really wish I brought my board down with me! I will be in riverside on wednesday, I am probably going to stay there then head to perris in the morning! Hello, Well, I flew into burbank this morning from the san francisco bay area, what a difference in weather! I couldn't see 100 feet in front of me in northern Cali, down here its a big blue sky! I am going to try and stay 1 extra day (Thursday) and make it down to Perris to hang out. Too anyone from southern cali, what is there todo down here? other than disneyland and all the touristy stuff. I am stuck here for 3 days! Thanks for any help or suggestions! -Jason

I have searched all the forums and found various articles on jump with or without sunglasses. (searched for word sunglass). For those of you who do jump with sunglasses, What kinds do you jump with, and how well do they protect your eyes. Also, what kind of helmet do you wear with them, does it help keep them more secure to your face? So, here is the reason I ask. I ride a motorcycle, and sometimes I don't wear a full face helmet. I wear one of those little brain bucket ones when cruising around town, I rarely get on the highway with it. (Eye protection is required when riding in California) So i have 2 pairs of sunglasses I wear. 1 pair is some 200 dollar oakleys. and the other is a cheap 5 dollar pair (I like the cheaper ones better). I notice a big difference in eye protection. With the oakleys, anything after 95mph makes my eyes water, the others i have gone as fast as 140mph (Top speed of bike) and I didn't have any problems. The big difference in skydiving vs a motorcycle is body position. For the most part you face is looking strait into the wind. But with skydiving there are lots of variables. IE, looking at heading, checking Altimeter, headdown, sitfly and so forth. What sunglasses and helmet combo work good for you, and do you notice changes in airflow to your eyes when you change body position? -Jason
