  6. Hello, I am currently doing my level 3 skydive, last weekend I got a video so I could see if i was having any problems. And I did. I was having problems with Arm awarness. I wasn't keeping my shoulders straight and my arms were totally off. one was out further than the other. anyway. My legs looked great, except for the fact that i bring them in once in a while. during the level 3, I spun both times they let me go. Because of my arms. Then the last time they let me go, the docked with my arms. The JM caught my right arm before I could keep spinning and then grabbed my left arm. as soon as he did that my arms and shoulders got straight and the spin stopped. But he quickly moved to my side again. I had talked with the JM before the jump and ask him if docking with arms would be an option. He did not seem to inclined to do so. how much will instructors work with students? I know I am just a student, and my idea's may not seem right, But I know how I learn. I think it would help alot. ofcourse, now that I know what the problem is, i may fall stable. I have also been thinking about some Wind tunnel time. jammin down to vegas for a few days. I know it would help, and if i fail my next L3 jump, thats where I am going. Thanks for your time. -Jason You may push me around, but you cannot win! You may throw me down, but i'll rise again!

    Nerves Suck

Well, Today I went out to Byron, Not intending to jump, just pay for some jumps and schedule a re-train. I got to the counter, and told manifest I wanted to purchase AFF levels 2, 3, 4. He requested that I get my logbook so he could determine the best starting point for me. I went to my car to get my logbook, I actually had it with me this time. After a few moments of reading he ask if I was comfortable starting at level 2 again. He explained Level 2 is a busy skydive. For the past 6-7 months I have been rehearsing level 2 in my head. So I told him yes, I feel comfortable. So then I purchased levels 2, 3, 4. Some of you are probably saying, why did he buy a level 4, what if he doesn't pass Level 3. Well, that damn fear factor sets in so I figured I would get a head start and buy level 4, it will give me a good reason to get passed 3. After about 10 minutes at the manifest counter, we get everything straitened out. I was going to schedule my re-train for next weekend. I could have a whole week to prepare myself for that mental issue, Fear. Instead of doing it next week, the instructor is doing a re-train that will start in a few minutes. Wasting no time I decided to join the other jumper in the re-train course. Well, after a few hours of going over emergency procedures and watching videos and doing the in-harness review. Things are good, I take the written test again, get 100%. Instructor writes in my logbook "Totally ready for L2" I didn't read that till after my day was over. I didn't realize I was already on the student manifest list. I didn't expect to jump today, and I also had not eaten anything all day. The got me manifested, I met my JM. I had jump with him before, on my level 3. We go over the dive flow. I made 1 change to the dive flow, I added Toe Taps to all maneuvers. This way I was checking the point of my feet during the skydive. He was cool with that and thought it was a great idea. While I was going over the dive flow in on the trainer, I started feeling week holding my legs and arms up. I didn't think anything of it at first, but then nerves set in that I was going skydive, I was to be on load 12. I told my JM I wasn't feeling well and he suggested I get off 12 and go get some lunch; it was already 2 in the afternoon. I jammed down to the cafe to get a club sandwich and fry’s. The only thing that sounded good. I ate half the sandwich and a few of the fry’s. Then I started to get light headed. I was going chill out for a while and see if I felt any better. Well, I didn't skydive today, I am kind of wondering if it was nerves, food, or a little of both. I started AFF with a buddy, He isn't jumping now. We have always done sports together, we kind of push one another for that competitive nature friends have. Needless to say, I didn't jump. But I have 3 jump tickets in my wallet, and I am waiting to go back next Saturday. By then I will have my head together and the nerves shouldn't bother me as much. I have never had a problem doing something, all my other jumps I was ready to go, yesterday. But today just got to me. Thanks for reading. Have a good night. -Jason You may push me around, but you cannot win! You may throw me down, but i'll rise again!
  11. Thanks for every ones input. Some times dating younger women can be a pain. I think the biggest reason for that is because of experience, and not with just sex. If you date someone right out of high school, they probably haven't had too many girl/boyfriends. So they get stuck in the high school dating perspective, and you get stuck dealing with it. I don’t think I will date anyone under 21 again. By that age you should have partied and gotten high school out of your system, unless you dated some one who put up with it. As for older women, they are easier to get along with, more mature, don’t have the "I'm all that attitude", And they have goals, just to name a few things. -Jason You may push me around, but you cannot win! You may throw me down, but i'll rise again!
  12. When your dating someone, when does age difference become an issue? Whats the biggest difference in age between you and someone you have dated? I have dated someone 6 years older than me, I have also dated someone 2 years younger than me. I am 24 now. Dating an older women isn't big deal, but I often wonder if it was to her. Just looking for input. And please, leave the damn sheep and goats outta this thread. ;-) -Jason You may push me around, but you cannot win! You may throw me down, but i'll rise again!
  13. I pack out there every few weeks when I get the time. Although I'd rather be jumping. -Jason You may push me around, but you cannot win! You may throw me down, but i'll rise again!

  16. THIS POST IS COMPLETELY FICTIONAL AND IS NOT REAL, NOR IS IT MENT FOR ANYONE TO TRY THIS, PLEASE STAY WITHIN YOUR OWN SKYDIVING ABBILITIES! If you think it is real, then you've got issues! It was written out of humor and at Freeflir29's expense. Enjoy it! We are here at the local DZ of Clay Fouler, AKA FreeFlir29. Clay is an aggressive poster on dropzone.com. His numbers just keep going up and up. We thought the 1000 mark was amazing at the time. Several others have broke the 1000 mark since then and have been virtually pied. Clay has recently broken the 9950 post mark, he has 3 times the posts of anyone else on site. We did notice that from 9900 to 9950 his posts have slowed down dramaticly! We sent an email to clays dropzone.com email account to ask him some questions. We got a response in record time. I was amazed! However, there wasn't very much information in the post. We asked clay the following questions and got the following responses. 1. Has posting on Dropzone.com caused your job to suffer? No, my job hasn’t suffered at all. In fact, they just asked that I cut my posts down from 20 an hour to 15, that way I can get some real work done! 2. When you got your computer at home, did you make up for the 5 posts an hour in the evenings? Yes, I felt that I needed to maintain the number 1 status on dropzone.com, I increased my nighttime posting as high as 25 posts an hour for 2 hours a night. After a few days I realized how fast my post numbers were climbing, quicker than a Super Otter on a hot day! 3. We noticed your post numbers have slowed down almost to a stop, can you please explain why. That’s a very good question. I'd like to say that it isn't from carpal tunnel syndrome. I know a lot of people are calling me a liar as they read that one! Its because I have something special planned for my 10,000 post. I am not going to give that away here. If you would like to know more, there will be an event at my local DZ in 3 weeks. 4. Can you elaborate on the "Special" plans you have just a bit? Like I said before, I don't want to give anything away. Just come out to the DZ in 3 weeks. 5. Thanks for all your time and quick responses. No problem, see you at the DZ. 9999 posts and 3 WEEKS LATER Hello, this is Jason, I am at clay fowlers local DZ, and boy are there some exciting things going on. We just got the inside scoop on clays special event. It’s called "Posting boobies in the sky" and there are tons of people here. Here’s how the event works. They have planned a special jump from 15,000 feet. Clay is now on post #9,999. His plan is to post 1 quick message about boobies and have it post the second he passes through 10,000 feet. Clay has been trying to slow his fall rate down so he can type a long post. He has slowed his fall rate down to 100Mph. Clays normal fall rate ranges anywhere between 150-180 head down. He is wearing extremely baggy pants. The Laptop he is bringing will have a wireless connection sponsored by dropzone.com. They have also developed a special piece of computer hardware for the jump. It reads the altitude as the computer travels in freefall. This will make it possible to calculate exactly when he presses enter and sends the post. His goal being 10,000 on the dot! The computer will be on a special platform in front of clay, this was designed only for belly flying! Since the news of the event, there has been a pole circulating on dropzone.com. They are betting on when he'll hit that enter key. So far there are several hundred jump tickets on the line! The pole is designed like this. They are betting when clay will hit enter. In 20 foot increments. It starts at 5 jump tickets a square. Clay will be boarding the plane shortly. We'll see what happens. Just for fun -Jason You may push me around, but you cannot win! You may throw me down, but i'll rise again!
