On my way home from work one day I stopped at a gas station in uniform to fill up. A lady came up to me and said "thank you for what you're doing". As a girl i'm not very sentimental but as I talked to her I was immediately proud of my job. Her husband was in Iraq and she was lonely and missed him very much. She said that she always made it a point to thank any service member she came across. Military life isn't all peaches and cream right now, especially if you go daily with the knowledge that your rotation in Iraq is quickly approaching. It is the little heartfelt thanks you's that are motivation for many soldiers to keep doing the job that we said we would do. Glad that your son is home for some R&R. Make him cookies and let him sleep late. I know that is what I always crave when away from home for long periods of time! Bombing for peace is like fucking for virginity! ~DEVIOUS BEEF~~FGF #69~

I wouldn't say that they all were horrible, some relationships ended amicably. I simply see no reason to look back. For me, when I break up with someone then a chapter is closed and I have no desire to return, even if he was a good guy. Breakup Rule #1: NEVER look back! The funniest thing happened to me and I thought that I would share. I checked my email this morning and it seems that an ex had sent me an email through yahoo personals! We haven't been together for over a year and he didn't realize that it was me (I don't have a picture posted)! I had actually forgotten that I had a thing up there. Needless to say, I called him up and made him feel like an ass. I then promptly deleted the personal. What a way to start your day! I was just watching The Late Show and they gave a great idea for the presidential debate tomorrow night: Every time Bush says flip-flop you have to take a vodka shot. Sounds good to me!
