    I'm alone for the first time on Thanksgiving this year...talk about holiday blues! I decided to kick them in the ass by having a kids dream Turkey Day. I went by the grocery and picked up any junk food that I wanted, stopped by the wine shop, video store, and retired for the evening in my pj's. So, while every kid is cramming down turkey and yucky veggies, I'm sitting around watching cartoons and enjoying being a bum. Isn't life grand?! It isn't the same as quality family time but something has got to be siad for being drunk on a sugar buzz in your pj's!!! sorry you're feeling the blues though.     I only have one thing to say: Do not be afraid to throw crap away! I have the same problem that you're talking about. Whenever the shit gets to me too bad I just break out the hefty bags and go to work. If you haven't used it in the past month, expiration date is gone, or you don't even remember buying it...chances are that you don't need it. Throw it out!     The perfect thread for the day that I have had. I found out today that my mom has cancer so tomorrow I'm heading to North Carolina to be with her. When I found out I was at work so I went to the bathroom to have a minor breakdown. While I was in there this motherly older lady came in and found me. She didn't ask any questions, she just opened up her arms and enveloped me into them. When I stopped crying she simply turned around and left...no questions or anything. I do not know her and I doubt I will ever have the chance to thank her. I do not think she will ever know how much that hug meant to me.     My ex and I used to fuss over who was going to clean out the sink drain after we finished washing the dishes. You know how little bits of food gets trapped there and gets all bloated and soggy...yuck! I swear that shit is toxic and I refuse to touch it.     I totally agree with this. So many times in divorce people tend to start thinking of themselves and how much they want out that the children are used as a weapon or are relegated to an afterthought. My parents divorced when I was 2 so the only memories that I have of them are pleasant ones. I couldn't imagine my parents married (I've been told that they were terrible together) but I see them every day as good friends. Also, the every other weekend thing is not so bad, it's how you use your time that counts. My dad always tried to make our time together special and I have some great memories as a result. When you return from Kosovo try to call your daughter as often as possible. Chances are that she's scared and confused, especially since she is an adolecent. Regardless, keep us posted on how things turn out. Good luck!

    There was a death recently at X-keys due to an impaired jumper. I'm not sure how to make that thread a clicky but you really should read it. Emotions run high about this topic. Think of it this way...what if one of those drinking and jumping had caused a fatality, one that could have been prevented had someone spoken up and grounded the individual in question? Never be afraid to speak up and do the right thing. You may step on some toes along the way but at least you will live to see tomorrow.
