My defination of "cheap" tequila. (I won't touch the $10 a handle stuff)
-
Vinny is busy salivating over In & Out Burgers in SC. Oh, but there have been so many good times with cheap tequila! (I think) How could I go wrong??
-
Yup. It's a Tequila night. The only question is what kind of tequila I should go with for celebrating my 28th Birthday. Should I go with the classical Patron? Or should I go for quantity and get something cheaper? What's your favorite tequila??

Yeah, it's on the other side of the highway so it's kind of a hike from the strip when you're wasted....good times! -

Definatly no In & Out in CO. One of the things I always do when I go to Vegas is go by In & Out. I always order "animal style" much better that way -
Just remember there is a big difference between flying commercial and skydiving. When you get on a commercial flight, they pressureize the cabin at something like 6,000 feet. I have gotten on a flight in Denver with an altimeter and actually seen the "altitude" go DOWN. When you skydive, you will be getting out at anywhere between 13,000 and 18,000 so there will be a lot less pressure, hence a lot higher likelyhood of getting Bent. It seems like 24 hours (if not longer) would be a good minimum time to wait for all the nitrogen to get out of your system.

Thanks! The birthday was good.... The party's tonight though Good investigative work too...I don't think I've ever directly posted my birthday on here

Quite a few it seems. Everytime there is a SCUBA thread, there are tons of responses. Enjoy the diving!

Just drink it already. It can't be that bad

Happy Birthday. It's a good day to be born

If I had to guess... You email back...."she" is from Nigeria or the like and wants to meet you. Something happens and she needs money, but with the promise of much more money coming your way. ...you get played and spend thousands and never meet "her" or see any money.

But I got a really good deal on getting my blinker fluid topped off Funny Story...When I was working as a raft guide, one of our office girls (the equivilant of manifest girls) was fairly naive when it came to a lot of things. She asked us to help fix her car one morning before a trip. Apparently one of her turn signals lights wasn't working. We proceded to tell her that she needed to buy some blinker fluid, but it was really expensive. After that we left on the trip for the day. When we got back, she told us that she went to the auto parts store and they sold her blinker fluid and even put it in her car for her and it only cost $150. You can imagine our reaction...we were quite pissed that someone would take advantage of her like that. We had to come clean to her about the fact that "blinker fluid" does not exist. After we had all gotten riled up about it and were ready to go lynch the guy, she finally let us know that she had indeed gone to the auto parts store and the guy had laughed at her when she asked for blinker fluid. He sold her a replacement bulb, installed it for her, and told her to turn the tables on us by making up the story about being overcharged.

At the beginning of this whole saga when he was just under fire for writing contriversial things, I was adamently against firing him...I firmly believe that a professer should be allowed to say just about anything...that is the whole point of the tenure system. However, given what we know now, he is an embarssment to the community at large and should have resigned long ago.

I agree with you there. There is a lot that can be done with sequencing traffic lights to provide better service, but it has to be done at a city-wide scale to be effective. There are some very sohpisticated dynamic traffic modeling systems that are being tested right now that can litterally reduce the commute times through congested areas by half just by timing the lights correctly with realtime traffic information. As someone who has worked in traffic engineering, it drives me nuts to get stopped at traffic light after traffic light that are not coordinated or are unnessecary. Don't even get me started on how much I detest non permissive left turn lanes (red left turn aarows). edited to add: I do however believe that there is a lot that can be done in the ways of public transportation and carpooling to reduce congestion and the burning of fossil fuels. It's ridiculous to look around at rush hour and see all the single occupant mega-SUV's sitting there going nowhere. -

And the Headline Story for CNN today... Surgeon general: No safe level of secondhand smoke 3 days left! I can't wait. I think in another 20 years, this won't be a big deal at all...smoking in enclosed public places is simply something you don't do. Just like smoking on an airplane is today. -
I think the whole nitrogen thing is about getting the oxygen out of your tires. Oxygen can be bad stuff...espically under pressure. Any SCUBA certified diver can tell you that breathing pure oxygen under pressure can be fatal. When you raise the pressure in your tires you also raise the partial pressure of oxygen, causing increased oxidation of the inside of the tires and wheels. So, by eliminating oxygen from the mixture and using nitrogen which is a lot more inert, you theoretically prevent a lot of corrosion on the inside of your tires. My take on it however is that it is a gimmick. You will do a lot more good for your tires by keeping them properly inflated and roatating them regularly then by pumping them full of nitrogen.

Personally...I can't wait. I cannot stand going out to bars and stinking like an ashtray when I get home. It will be great to spend a night out not have to take a shower so that I don't have to smell that nasty odor all night. Comparing smoking and drinking and the negative health effects of each is apples and oranges. The negative health effects of secondhand smoke was doccumented long ago. It is espically hurtful to those who work in the bars and have to deal with it 40 hours a week. The fact is that drinking is only directly harmful to the person who is doing it (excepting the obvious problems of drunk driving and the like). If someone wants to sit down and drink 17 shots of tequilla next to me, be my guest. But if they want to smoke a cigarette next to me, I'm not happy. Edited to add: The one thing that I really wonder about is there is a provision in the bill that allows for smoking to continue in casinos...hmmm there must have been some great lobying to get that written into there. -
Just read about this somewhere else... They finally got the sidekick back today... http://www.evanwashere.com/StolenSidekick

Quote How long a hike is that? What kind of elevation gain? Quote Herman gulch is about 3 and a half miles each way with about a 1500' elevation gain (IIRC). It's right off I-70, so it makes a great trip if you are just driving through and have a little time to burn. edited to add: It goes up to about 12,000 feet, so your lungs better be in good shape! -
I just got a ton of emails from DZ.com dated the 9th and 10th on Hotmail..
