Remmster,,, I'd go for the reserve at a grand no doubt.. The cypress could possibly beat me.. Scottie pulled at a grand all the time with his main but he is a old salty fearless dawg.. I'd have to have a 1001 foot snivel.. So I would hit the reserve.. Blue Skies .....

Yes... at the same loading most canopies fly at nearly the same forward speed as any other model. Those were your words.. NEARLY you said. I would have to see it to believe it actually.. What I have SEEN with my own eyeballs sais otherwise. Blue Skies .....

It may not be MUCH different but I have seen a difference.. Seems likely that a Velocity at 1.5 would be faster than a Triathlon at 1.5 due to aerodynamics.. Blue Skies .....

I was at 1.6 to 1.7 so I'm not sure how much zip you will get at 1.26.. There should definitely be a performance boost.. How many jumps does your friends Diablo have on it? Blue Skies .....

Sweetspot is where you have the best glide, speed, flair.. Before you start sacraficing bottom end lift by downsizing.. The crossfire 2 for example.. The sweetspot I am told is 1.8. That is where you get the best all around performance. Glide for long spots, bottom end lift, and speed for swoops yet not gicing up any bottom end lift. That is the most efficient loading of the canopy. Rhino Blue Skies .....

no they don't....... I've jumped with equally loaded canopies while under my Triathlon.. Almost everything had a better glide and more forward speed. The Omega would outglide the Triathlon with a little more forward speed at an equal loading.. Blue Skies .....

I was loading mine at 1.6+.. I haven't jumped a Diablo at 1.2 where I was loading my Triathlon.. The front riser pressure on my Diablo110 was very manageable.. What is your wing loading? Rhino Blue Skies .....

If I had a cypress I would chase a student until the cypress fires. If no cypress 1000 feet ish.. and I would go straight for my reserve, Call me crazy but I'm responsible for that person. If I had a students life in my hands I would damn near die trying to save him or her. Blue Skies .....
