I quit jumping sabres a long time ago because of that feeling. My advise to you is find another canopy. Try a Triathlon, Spectre, Omega or something in the seven cell class.. I NEVER felt chop under my Triathlon.. That accordian feeling you are talking about made me VERY uncomfortable. I have seen sabres on 2 occasions drop someone right out of the air from 20 feet under like conditions. Rhino Blue Skies .....

Chromie, It goes a little fast to take pictures just yet. And considering I was racing the plane down from 14000 feet I didn't have much time.. He beat me by 500 feet only because of wind drift, I had to be carefull to make it back. I have more things to do right now, like learning all the flight characteristics than taking pictures wouldn't you agree?? I'll get some soon enough don't worry.. Diver123, What is it like? There are people on here more versed and more qualified to answer that question than I am.. I can say that the response time is amazing, the speed is much greater, but you learn in progression how to look further ahead than under a normal canopy, THIS canopy turns faster and dives harder than anything I have ever jumped, equally loaded Xaos included. It kicks the hell out of a Xaos at 1.85. Really no comparison. I dove it in today from 700 feet had a LOOOONG recovery arc "made me MUCH more comfortable having all that distance to judge with. Planed out a little high say 20 feet but still had a really long surf.. This canopy feels like it has it's own airspace if that makes any sense? It slices through the air crisply. It responds without ANY hesitation. Truly amazing and a dream to fly. I like having SO MUCH control over what I fly. It definitely gives me that. I can get COMPLETELY inverted over the canopy it turns so fast. Tried my damndest to induce line twists? Couldn't even come close.. I was at 8k spiraling down and was told people on the ground were yelling cutaway! cutaway! It was tons of fun.. Andyman, Every pilot has different skills.. My favorite part of skydiving is landing a canopy. That is where it is for me. I have stood up everything I have jumped everytime. Even when I bounced under my Tri150 "which prompted a higher thought process and much more caution" I stood it up. Am I agressive?? I would say yes.. Do I feel I am over my head in ANY way? No I am not.. Remember, when I bounced under the Tri and got my ass chewed for hooking something that has such a short recovery arc I started the transition to where I am now. Looking back? I was an idiot "like hook and others said" for hooking a Triathlon. If you have never flown a loaded high performance canopy you won't know why I am doing what I am doing until you are in my and others shoes? Hard to explain.. My last 100 jumps have been under a 110 or less.. I put a jump on a 135 and felt like kicking and screaming all the way down. I felt like I was being held back. You will have to feel it to know what I mean.. Even the crossfire2, 97 at 1.85 landed me PERFECTLY straight in yesterday.. I was going to carve in but THE PLANE took the lane I was going for and I tool lz#2 and straight inned it.. Hitting the p's It isn't about how small your parachute is guys.. It is about why do you do this? My reasons are surely different than yours, Some of you enjoy head down.. The only thing I can think of going to the DZ is landing my parachute.. That's fun to me.. That is exciting, that is what I look forward to.. Rhino Blue Skies .....

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I put a jump on my new crossfire2, 97 today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! loading 1.85... It is the fastest turning, hardest diving, most responsive canopy I have ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This thing is CRISP in flight!! nice!! My search is over!!!!!!!!!! That canopy is BAD!!!!! Geeeeez.. I'm a little excited

I put a jump on my new Crossfire2, 97 loaded at 1.85 today. I'll keep this short and sweet. Fastest turning, Hardest, longest diving Crisp, pure flight Fast, Responsive, Light toggle pressure, light front riser pressure, pulls around the corner instantly. Icarus hit a home run with this canopy. I can't wait to jump it more this weekend. It turns faster than an equally loaded Diablo. This canopy is bad!

If you read my posts Chromie you would see I have plenty of jumps on the crossfire109.. That is what prompted me to purchase the crossfire2.. Blue Skies .....

I'll take some pictures as soon as I jump it.. And remember MICHIGAN WEATHER SUCKS!!! Not to mention I've put a bit of energy into number one of three in the weekend numbers.. lol I don't have a new canopy every week? lol I had a Xaos and sent it back.. Now I have a crossfire2..
