I didn't say I can't flat turn billvon, I can even on the crossfire109.. But not with as slow or with as little altitude loss as on the Triathlon150.. With the Triathlon I could turn in one spot practically and just sink in place.. The crossfire loaded doesn't like to do that as well
-
Slower forward speed.. And yes slower at lower wing loadings.. A Triathlon which is a square not at all elliptical is slow.. Great canopy!! Blue Skies .....

Your feelings of dislike are normal.. lol But the cessnas are great for hop-n-pops from 3 grand!!
-
Yes... I think post boobies should be on there too.. Where is the boobie line Sang?? Blue Skies .....

Probably shouldn't even be considering a stiletto. Should be thinking more in the Triathlon, Spectre, Omega range.. Those canopies fly slower and promote learning SLOW SPEED FLIGHT handling. Flat turns and such.. I can flat turn under my crossfire109 but not like I could under the Triathlon150.. Seven cell canopies being slower and more stable "in my experience" at lower wing loadings are "safer". Again in my opinion.. I believe it is just smart and safe to start with a non to SLIGHTLY, preferrably non elliptical canopy. Rhino Blue Skies .....

I think a Triathlon is a good first canopy.. Seven cells are allways better at lower wing loadings. In my opinion.

I think if you doubt yourself under a canopy ESPECIALLY before you jump it you aren't ready to jump it. Wait a while and think about it again.. If in another 50 jumps you feel more confident under canopy then consider it then. I NEVER get under a canopy if I doubt my ability under it. When in doubt go big Jessica. Rhino Blue Skies .....

I still think a couple of hop-n-pops from altitude should be in AFF.. Flairing all the way down.. Flat turning.. Rear risering.. Not nearly enough importance is placed on these things. ESPECIALLY low speed flight characteristics. Rhino Blue Skies .....

That is a kick ass picture.. lol Blue Skies .....

EXCUSE ME Bytch and Billvon... I don't know if either of you have ever flown a loaded canopy or if you even have the foggiest clue as to what I mean by no room to screw up.. Maybe someday you will find out and not take comments so literally. Maybe you both need to get LAID Anyhow.. I enjoy walking the line and if I go in I do it of my own free will.. As does ANY canopy pilot. And with that Good night Nothing but love

OMG... I just watched Armageddon.. First time I watched it since 9/11.. The scenes where the buildings are falling, the people are falling and where the world trade centers were hit by meteors seem ALLOT more real.. Has anyone else seen Armageddon since 9/11?? Is it different to you? DAMN.. Rhino Blue Skies .....

1:5:0, Could have jumped today but I slept instead. And the DZ is 90+ miles away..

Staying within your limits is very important. But how does one define his or her limits? I enjoy testing myself but I don't like everytime I land a canopy to be a lesson or struggle in survival. As hook would say I would like my bag of experience to fill up before my bag of luck runs out. I hate to see anyone get hurt in skydiving. Again I hope he recovers and all is well. Everytime this happens I take a step back and say is it worth it? To me it is for now. Rhino Blue Skies .....

I hope he recovers quickly.. Best wishes to him and his fmily. Blue Skies .....

I think canopy school SHOULD become mandentory for students. Not enough focus is placed on landing canopies in AFF.. I think it would be a GREAT addition to the course anyways. Blue Skies .....

I made 5 jumps yesturday and practiced rear riser flairs. I don't have room to screw up under the canopy I fly. I'll practice up high. If I have to do it down low I am VERY familiar with the timing and the rock point using rear risers. I'm not going to land that way until FAAAAR in the distant future. Rhino Blue Skies .....

It is just my opinion but I think you are instigating. This is the GEAR AND RIGGING forum. Get your personal shit to the talkback forum. Blue Skies .....

Maybe that would be a carving hook??
-
If it is getting pretty old than post somewhere else.. Blue Skies .....
-
Some would say a hook is when you go inverted. Others would say they are the same thing.. I consider a carve to be circular
-
A hook I put in a worm to bass fish.. I carve the fish after I hook him... Did that help?? lol

When you got to go you got to go.. LOL Nasty bastard!!! lol Blue Skies .....
