    Along these same lines...I heard a scary story from one of my jump-buddies... My friend had her reserve repack three weeks ago. She then hooked up her main and reattached her RSL. Just this weekend, at the end of her third weekend jumping after the repack, someone noticed that the RSL was not hooled up correctly. It was not hooked up where it is supposed to be, nor was it attached to a casing if she wanted to leave it unattached. IT WAS ATTACHED TO HER LARGEST THREE RING. She didn't notice, nor did anyone else for three weekends of jumping. YIKES!!!! KNOW THY GEAR, CHECK THY GEAR, CHECK THY FRIENDS' GEAR. Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    Now that I am dating a skydiver, I cannot imagine dating a whuffo.... I love that Marc and I can talk for hours...politics, current events, and SKYDIVING!!!! And we "get" each other. I cannot imagine him with a whuffo , either. He is really knowledgeable about skydiving, and thinks and analyzes stuff all the time. I don't think a whuffo would be able to hold an intelligent conversation with him. Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    What makes me sick is that my three year old nephew no longer goes outside at preschool. They stay inside all day, for fear of this guy. I think it stings a little more when it affects loved ones, ya know? Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    Didn't jump for the 7th straight weekend cuz i have been sick....as long as I am still dependant on the narcotics for pain, I am stuck onthe ground. I don't think jumping is in the plans for next weekend, either..... Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    1 : 0 : 0 1- number of pig roasts i attended this weekend. The Doll family buried and cooked a pig....I got to meet several of Marc's aunts, uncles, and cousins. His family is huge, so it was a little overwhelming, and they weren't even all there! 0- Ok, I am feeling much better, but still on narcotics for pain, so no jumps for me. Soon, though, soon. 0- no jumps, no firsts.

    OK, I don't live with a guy....but I do have an opinion on this one.... Who frickin' cares whether a guy puts it down or I put it up?? It doesn't bother me in the least if I have to lower the seat before I pee (which I had to do today, actually.....) There are a lot of things to worry about in this world, and the position of the toilet seat, at least to me, isn't one of them. Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    Chris, It sucks that you got ripped off when you were trying to do a good thing. But....here is what you should tell yourself now: 1. Like you said...it is only $10 and it isn't gonna break you. I am a firm believer in karma....so... 2. You have good things coming to you...put good energy out and you will get good energy back. 3. The guy who you tried to help....he put negative enrgy out there...and it WILL come back to him. Pat yourself on the back for doing a good thing. Then just let it go.... Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    I would say that about half of my friends are skydivers. I work really hard to make sure that I don't lose my whuffo friends. It would be easier to just have skydiving friends, but I don't ever want to be one dimensional, if that makes any sense I do give up skydiving frineds to pursue other interests and other friends. And my life is richer for the effort. Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    I made like 40 jumps last winter in the freezing cold...I don't care how cold it is....like others have said...if the plane is flying, I'm in for a hop and pop!!! But...you do have to give me at least a 15 minute call...those glove liners take forever to put on..... Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    As a lifelong Cardinals fan, I am still grieving their loss in the NLCS. Although the Giants did clearly outplay us the whole series. I will, however, root for the Angels. I just can't root for the team that knocked us out of the post-season. Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!
