  1. Took the bike to the track and went drag racing. Cheap entertainment for a $12 entry fee and a $200 rear tire...... Z Action©Sports
  2. Thanks - I'm not sure who that guys is to be quite honest. I took the base shots during the Memorial Day Boogie at the Perrine last year. I like the guy with the cast - he was a complete loon. First I see him limpin' around the Holiday Inn, next, he's standing on the bridge getting ready to jump. He was a pretty cool cat. Peace, Z Action©Sports
  3. So skip that and go across the street to the Mexican place. It's good. Yep - the Mexican place was pretty good. The last time we went to the steak house some dude go so pissed he stood up in the middle of the restaurant and at the top of his lungs he shouted at the manager "This is the worst fucking steak house in the city of Rantoul, the food sucks, the drinks suck, and the service sucks!!!! " It was pretty funny. Nearly everyone in the restaurant got their meals for free. My girl took her steak home in a doggie bag but when she gave it to the dog, she just looked up at us, turned, and walked away Peace, Z Action©Sports
  4. Been there twice - not this year though. Rantoul is a great place for the convention in my opinion. Cops were cool, the town was cool, but the steak house sucks the big one Action©Sports
  5. I've used it since I first started - mainly because most of the vidots said it didn't work. It works freakin' GREAT if you're equipment is aligned and centered. Cameras are a Minolta Maxxum 7 and a Maxxum 7D and the lenses vary from a Sigma 15mm Fisheye, Sigma 20mm, Minolta 24mm, and a Minolta 50mm Peace, Z Action©Sports
  6. I'm kinda partial to the B.A.S.E videos myself. In no particular order: A year in the life Year of the Birdman The tribute to "Slim" Paddy There are way too many to mention. The visuals are simply amazing. Peace, Z Action©Sports

  8. I jumped with a talking monkey humping my TRV at the WFFC - does that count? Action©Sports
  9. I've read it twice - it's a bit over the top but all in all, a very good read. I've also had some time to check out a few of the many scientific references he provides in the book. It makes you wonder, not only about global warming, but many other issues where hype and fear based on pseudo science (such as the banning of DDT) is used as the primary driving element to support a "cause". Scary stuff..... Peace, Z Action©Sports
  10. They make you take the safety course before you get your permit? What a novel f&$^&*n idea \ Peace, Z Edit to say: Holy Shit scooters are expensive in OZ! What are insurance rates like? Action©Sports
  11. My turn on Saturday - Preppin' the Scooter for Arroyo Seco. Is there a website where I can get some info on that track in Pueblo? Thinkin' about checking it out... Peace, Z Action©Sports

Depends - fuel injected bikes have a much greater ability to keep an even air/fuel ratio than carbureted motorcycles do. Even more so if you live or ride at higher elevations since the ECU can compensate for changes in atmosphere. Fuel Injected bikes often run rich from the factory but, a Power Commander with a custom map will take care it for you. Peace, Z Action©Sports
  13. Here's a long list of people who were convicted, sentenced to death, and later released - it's a pretty long list. Has to make you wonder..... I know better than to argue law with you of all people but, do you honestly think this "bad ass criminal" is contemplating the penalties of his actions as he raping this fine young thing? I don't know where to stand on this cuz personally, I think they're letting these guys off easy when they give'em a shot in the arm. Action©Sports
  14. Power Commander with a custom map should do it..... Action©Sports
  15. I'm still debating about an Arata or the new Akrapovic Evo for my 1000RR. They both sound raunchy as hell and they both cost about an arm and a leg. What kind of pipe were you running on that thing? Action©Sports
  16. Nice little sequence - as much as it sucks to wreck, it's always more fun when it's caught on film . You were lookin' real good until the lowside too. Peace, Z Action©Sports
  17. Right part for the right job - get the gasket A nice oil leak down to back tire even at low speed is very nasty spill just waiting to happen. Peace, Z What kind of scooter is it? Action©Sports
  18. I think you've out done yourself, Turtle. These are almost as good as the Ferrari/hard on quote Action©Sports
  19. That's one nasty putty tat.... Action©Sports
  20. I think that has a lot to do with all of the stunting that's going on these days too. Kids see a guy doing a stand up wheelie or a 300 yard stoppie and naturally, they want to try it too. I was out riding with a buddy on Friday night and we got passed by a kid on a gixxer (choice of all true squids ) doing a 100 mph+ 12 O'Clock down a 35mph street. I'll give the guy credit, he's got some mad skillz, he's just dumb as shit, that's all. I have to say the 1000RR is one of the coolest machines I've ever ridden (Am I biased? Probably...) It's geared too tall from the factory but that was an easy fix. The power delivery is blinding, the braking is superb, and the handling is just incredible. It's quite a step up from my old bored out ZX11 and man is it fun to smoke the Busa's in the twisties . Hopefully they will come out with a new VFR - they need to offer more choices between the hyper performance machines and the cruisers. Action©Sports
  21. I'll agree with you that you can get there more quickly, sure, but who says you have to hit 100+ to kill yourself. My 1000RR hits a 170mph without much hesitation at all, but that doesn't mean I do it every time I get on it. Throttle abruptness depends on many things, not just horsepower. Gearing, injection mapping, RPM range, they all play a part. Just keep the thing low in the RPM range and you can ride a sport bike just as gently as any cruiser. And yes, proper braking techniques and throttle control are an integral part of riding. A safety course and a little common sense will go a long way there. I just think it's funny how people immediately attack the guy saying he's practically guaranteed to kill himself cuz he bought 1000cc V-Twin. If you don't have the sense to ride responsibly you'll probably end up killing yourself no matter what bike your sitting on. I'm not saying that it's the perfect beginner bike, cuz it's not. But with a little common sense and a bit of respect for the machine your sitting on, you can easily learn proper riding techniques on that bike. Then again, perhaps I'm relying too much on common sense, huh? Peace, Z Action©Sports
  22. But you can still drop it into a corner at 180kph and bugger yourself up big time if you get it wrong And what's preventing you from doing that on an EX500 or an SV650? It's not the bike - it's the rider. Action©Sports
