  2. I have shot about 30 pigeons out of the sky... they were crapping all over my friend's cars in his carport. At least it was on a farm so we could shoot all day and no one cared... those damn pigeons are tough! NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  3. Sprite auditions... take 162... and, ACTION!!! NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  4. The look on my co-worker's face when I said that I would buy her a tandem w/video for her b-day... I don't want to do it unless I know she will actually follow through with the jump though. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  5. P.S. I would like to add that I know plenty of people that did 1 re-jump or more that skydive just fine now as well.
  6. have you talked to your instructors? what problems specifically are you having... since we cant see you jump we really dont know what type of trouble you are having. sorry, not very insightful... need more info! NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  7. ...sorry I took longer than 0.5ms to type my name NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

    I know... but I'm not tellin'... NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  10. If you are really high... why not just try a little double front riser pressure? I know it is kinda hard on a 280 though since it is more like doing pull-ups than diving down. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  11. I voted "help" since the movies get more people interested but lead to more "stupid" whuffo questions... NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  12. :4: Got my "A"!!! Bought plenty of beer... 1st landing at the non-student landing area 1st time hitting my head on the floor of the SkyVan during exit 1st attempt at a backflip exit from a SkyVan which resulted in backflying for about 7-10 seconds until I flipped over. 1st time I actually felt like I sort of knew what I was doing. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  13. Too many sappy movies here I suggest: Jacob's Ladder The Serpent and the Rainbow Event Horizon Dead Calm ...that should keep you awake for days NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  14. there also seems to be a shortage of containers/mains/reserves for people that are a little taller than average, i.e. 6ft, 180lbs... most of the stuff I see are for "little" people or really aggressive tall/skinny canopy pilots. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  15. Helicopters do seem a little impractical to me as well... after all, a semi-truck can navigate around a city loaded with god-knows-what in the trailer without raising any suspicions quite easily. Doing a low-pass in a Sea Stallion or some other ginormous helicopter is going to generate some 911 calls NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  16. I don't know... Do chickens have lips??? NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  17. i just shit myself laughing... people are starting to stare... NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  18. mmm... tastes good... NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  19. that'll never pass... there are always a handfull of bonehead bills floating around Congress at any given time. about every year or so a bill to reinstate the draft pops up and people start freaking out... I am glad I got all my military service over with already
  20. People get killed doing ordinary skydives every month of the year. BAN SKYDIVING! lol... not exactly the point I was trying to make... if people want to do this... go ahead, as long as they don't kill anyone but themselves, that is fine with me... personally, I'll wait at least a few years before trying it, I like my femurs the way they are thanks. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  21. I also endorse the Perris wind tunnel for additional training during AFF... my brother did the tunnel at Perris during AFF, he said it helped out a lot. I can't wait until a) SDAZ builds theirs or b) I can get out to use the one in Perris.
  22. lol, thanks for giving me something to try this weekend (after talking to my coach AND with plenty of altitude ) GREAT PICS!!! NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  23. yeah, I will put money on someone getting killed trying to duplicate this at a later date unfortunately. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  24. The more I jump, the more I realize that I should wait before buying and then demo a bunch of stuff first to make sure it is what I want/need to have fun safely. Sure I could run out and buy a wiz-bang rig, but what's the rush... learn to fly your body and canopy safely and then your equipment purchase will sort itself out based on your flying style/needs. Blues... NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
  25. this thread is ripe for a lock NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
