Ditto. I held out for about 5 months. Every surgery is different though. Mine was fairly unusual. Note that you will always have to pay special attention to it, even after its repaired. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

There really is no reason to bring your legs any narrower than shoulder width. After more jumps, you'll find your comfort zone, but remember that a wide stance produces stability. 45-90 degrees is a good range. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

Helping low jump number skydivers

Then please do not take my quotes out of context and post them on a public forum. You have not once expressed that until now. Where's the disagreement? _______________________ aerialkinetics.com -

Not really, just reality. I said what I did because thats the way it is in general. I don't enjoy you calling people like me 'big headed' and all sorts of other things I have run across in your posts, just please keep that in mind. Its like any other thing Don. You want to learn to golf well, you can teach yourself or find a coach. It would be nice to help my friends at my own expense, but many times its simply not feasible. For me, and others just trying to make a living. Most skydivers are all too willing to help out young uns. I do my best to give back to the sport in any way possible. If I have to decline a fun jump with a friend with 20 jumps or do a coaching jump so I can eat McDonald's instead of Ramen, sorry buddy, I'm going to do a coaching jump. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com -

Heh, I understand that. Of course, at least I don't have a guy to bitch at for leaving me by myself, I have 2! Hehe, while the boys went off to go enjoy a jump last night, I had to stay in the car, sick and tired. Sometimes you just gotta know when to rest and pass up the fun. Sucks though _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

Ok the coating. It does before the crispy creme coating covers the fabric. So I guess this is my only question remaining. And what exactly is the 'coating' made from? Thanks to hookitt for the previous answers. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

Sensible explanation. Thanks. What about ZP material now? What is it that makes its air permeability 0, and F-111 0-3 cfm? Zero porosity fabric does not go through the calendering process correct? Will an applicant such as Woolite or any other H20 surface tension breaker affect the porosity level of the canopy as much as it affects F-111? I assume not, but cannot fingerpoint exactly why. Wow, lots of question marks in this post. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

May be a silly question.....

hmm, i think the theory is true to an extent. i'm wee, 107 lbs on a good day. i can bend in half on my belly, reducing drag as much as poss putting my hands behind my rig, sometimes still not able to catch up to the anvils though. to fly comfortably i almost always have to strap on weights. freeflying is different. my jumpsuit is average drag and for the most part i fly comfortably with the rest of them. i can go slow very easily, if i have to go super fast well i wear a t-shirt instead of long sleeves. i'm not as dense as the big boys, but present little surface area creating a good range and maneuverability. thats my theory anyway. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com -

I would like to hear ideas on the affect of Woolite on the actual canopy. I use it always to clean containers, but have never 'washed' a canopy other than with a damp towel. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

Hehe, well both these guys need to take a chill pill, but this quote stuck out a lil. Dalton has an atomic theory, not a law. Theories are not proved, just not disproved over multiple (hundreds of thousands) experimentations. I would like to see someone say that atoms do not exist because they are not 'proven.' Both these dudes are extremists though. I wouldn't want to touch that conversation with a 10 foot pole... it may be of interest to pick it apart one day, but I don't have the time to argue with such closed minded individuals. Hehe and I'm a Christian but this post certainly didn't get me hostile... actually that Brandon kid made me laugh _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

That's pretty much the nail on the head. Especially being young and female, you'll get more attention than the average joe. Just do your best to decipher who's genuinely helping you out and those with ulterior motives. Don't get discouraged because you're young, be encouraged that you have a head start. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
