  2. bruno in dallas regularly jumps a 58 i believe. hooknswoop put hundreds of jumps on a vx60 (that i now jump mostly, although its owned by hookitt). of course i only load it at 2.1:1 tim told me of a girl in fl who recently bought a xaos 58. which i'm not sure they 'mass' produce it, but its a stock parachute according to their price list. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

  9. No, you're not mistaken. You did the right thing. If a solo belly (or anyone) is pulling about 5k, we generally place them last, right before AFF students and tandems. Make sure your DZ rules are known to everyone, the freeflyer should have used more common sense. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  10. Mr Martin... oh I'm so sad to hear this news. I didn't get to know you long enough. I just read a post where you used my line. Every time I pack my parachute, your work will still be there. I already miss you on my IM list. I'm so glad I had the pleasure of giving you a hug before you moved on. Rest in peace brother. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

    Religion & BASE

I know several non-atheist base jumpers. Myself included. I have never felt so close to death than in base, and so alive. I think God understands. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

  19. Likewise. It took me 2 years. I've seen folks learn under a single rigger and go at it hard, ready to take their tests in 6 months. It depends on several factors. Are you able to work your schedule around your rigger's? Is he willing to teach? How much time can you dedicate per week to reading, sewing, and packing? Talk to your local rigger(s) and start asking questions. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  20. Its not easy. Think of school as work. Get it done and go play. There was this one time however, on a philosophy exam essay question, where I had no clue what the answer was, or even where to begin. So I started writing "No shit there I was..." and proceeded to tell a skydiving story, getting all philosophical about life and death. The prof gave me 1/2 credit for trying and writing an entertaining story. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  21. I vary my cardio from bike to running, etc now. In the military we ran every other day though. Every day (sometimes twice/day) while in rigger training before airborne school. Every other day was good, it wasn't until the daily 4-6 mile runs on hills where my knees and IT (ilotibial) band started to give me problems. Unless we were doing fartlek or LSD (long slow distance), the pace was usually 8-9 min/miles. 4 miles in 35 minutes= 9 min/mile pace. To avoid all this pain/injury crap, always switch your shoes out every 6 months if you're running routinely. Stretch those shins and don't run hard daily on hills (I don't think thats much of a prob in CS ). _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

    Bridge Day 2004

Joy! It was great to finally meet you. We should all get together more often. Nick, glad I could give you a hug as well. It was just awesome and inspiring to meet my heroes
  23. Remember dude, BASE is about stealth. The legstraps are under his pants, and the cheststrap is the new invisible blend mod, for dayblazing skyscrapers. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  24. Its because he's mega stealthy _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  25. And another chart from ParaGear says its pack volume is 347. Although I haven't packed this particular reserve into a Racer container, I would venture to say it will fit just fine. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
