Here's a pic of Eli swooping a river - taken last week in Sweden. Greg Gasson was filming with his 35mm, there was another guy filming with a 3 chip and then they asked myself and one other guy to go wide and film from the outside.

Then can we get him drunk and kick the shit out of him???
-
How about we just get him drunk and kick the shit out of him? As for jumping with you - the one thing that I learnt from doing all those jumps and getting all that coaching in Sweden is how truly shit I still am. So of course I'll still jump with you, you are the only freeflyer I know that is shitter than me...

You haven't see the stumpy 'hand growing from armpit' freak thing he does??? I've seen it a couple of times now and it still weirds me out, but then again so does jumping with the lil fruitloop... BTW quimby how far is your little bruv with his progression? When can Steve and I take him out for a little Cessna action?

Taken from today's Metro (the Diet Coke of newspapers) : Hmmm, maybe there is a market there for Strong and Vector to sell modified tandem rigs as solo sport rigs... All jokes aside though, that has to be one of the most ludicrous law-suits I have ever heard of - binge on junk food while spending all your free time on a couch watching TV, then sue the companies that you chose to buy the junk food from.... Incredible! Will

Wow thats original, somebody should put that on a T-shirt!!!

Not true, we only drink when the weather is bad and we can't jump, which in England means.... Oops, errr....
-
Because if it wasn't for skydiving everybody at Hinton would be full blown alcoholics!
-
But of course nobody else can be as good as you think you are Clay...

What is your friend's name?

Dunno about that, check out the attached pic of Emma the Pie Queen and me at the AGM in January. (I think her little sister saw this pic and fell in love with me instantly!

hehehehee, well actually a bit of cross-dressing did take place in Sweden Andrea..... Last Friday night they had a special at the festival : cross dress and you got free moonshine at the bar the whole night. Well, with an offer like that, what can I say.... (check out attachment) The guy in the blue T-shirt is Glenn Johanneson, organizer of the Swedish Freefly Festival and very gifted at editing skydiving movies. Sadly he turned down my advances... (so did Fritz Pfnur)

Hi people Hope I don't insult anybody with this, but it is just a small thing that could save some pain : When you find yourself above or below a group of freeflyers, get on a level FIRST and then approach the group horizontally. Trying to get straight into the action by diving into or popping up to the group is really not cool. If you are approaching the group at a steep angle and someone else flips out you could both be in serious trouble. I saw a coach in Sweden take a double whammy because two freeflyers were too keen to dock and took him out - as a result he spent the next 2 days on the ground with bad bruising. Hope I didn't offend anybody by bringing up this basic safety measure but it is quite important. Cheers Will

You sure you're not getting lbs and kgs confused again... Seriously though, if you're considering a Sabre2, why not consider a Hornet? They do make a '120 and it is a helluva lot cheaper. Maybe that bloke your baby sister is boinking can even have one brought over from SA for you so you don't pay customs...

Did they try using a Psycho pack and double stowing the bands on the sides of the bag? If they tried that and are still getting hard openings, I would be really surprized. I had some hard openings at first, but that was due to my poor packing, even pro-packing a hornet yields good consistent openings if you pack with care. I have flat, pro and psycho packed my Hornet since I bought it (260 jumps to date) and haven't noticed a problem with the openings (Hornet '150 loaded at 1.3:1). I think a lot of people blame their canopy when poor packing and incorrect body position at pull time is actually to blame for bad openings. Will

hehehehhe, save some for me dude!!

It never gets easier, thats the beauty of freeflying. As soon as you master one thing you'll be challenged by something else. I struggled a lot with forward movement in a sit, then I struggled to learn side-slipping, then docking was quite hard to learn. My head down is still shit but I'm having a blast and enjoying every jump no matter who I jump with! Just remember your levels (ie approach a formation on a level, don't dive down or pop up direct at them). A good tip I got taught that you can practice on your own is alti checks. This forces you to use your arms symmetrically, keeps you altitude aware, gets you in the habit of presenting a hand for a dock and is a good way to practice blocking too). Try and get someone to film you soon so you don't get into bad posture habits etc. Enjoy it! Will

lol, sorry Ron I had to stick with the local tradition as far as the case was concerned - must say though that seeing the naked guy come running out of the sauna and trying to climb a tree to get to the beer was *rather* funny.... Thanks for the pic - a 6 way tracking dive led by Alex Meacock was a real treat for my 300th! Will

Compared to what I saw at the festival I'd say I am still very much a beginner. I did learn a lot, but I learnt more about how much I don't know. I got canopy control lessons and attended two safety seminars - I definitely benefited a lot from the festival. Will PS thanks for sending my chick all those dirty PMs Remi...

Yep, congrats to the missus too, dude! So, are you going to be pro-packing those diapers???

you guys are ASS-HOLES!!! am having good time in sweden (so good to be away from that bitch of a girlfriend of mine, gee hope she doesn't read this... ) have done 70 something jumps so far, but i'm still very shit (especially when i look at the good guys videos, flocking, big way tube dives etc). did first balloon jump yesterday, other highlights were a 14 way track dive lead by Eli (flyboyz), charles bryant (sp?) and steve O were in it too. today steve O and i chased a 3-way horny gorilla from the Beaver (hehehehe) - he stood on the wheel, i took the camera step - man that guy is an amazing freeflyer and all-round nice guy. gotta go now, the bar is open and manifest wants their pc back later butt-munches, will abuse you at length when i get back next week. will ps i landed out in a cow pasture, thought of you guys and totally cracked up (and no, i WASN'T spotting, mmmkay?)

Everything looks good for Saturday the 24th August. When I get back from Sweden I'll get everything organized, have already had a lot of interest from Saffers jumping elsewhere in the UK. (we probably have enough Saffers at Hinton alone to fill the Let!). We've got a TurboLet and Cessna 206. Will

Good way I got taught to check myself is the 3's : You're connected to your rig in 3 places : leg-strap, leg-strap, chest-strap. Make sure all 3 are connected securely (and leg-straps tightened evenly). 3 handles : main, cutaway, reserve. Check them in that order. In the morning peel your cutaway and reserve handles then reseat them firmly. In the plane check that all 3 handles stay stowed and protect them at all times. (I also check the nipple on my reserve cable and the cable itself in the morning). 3-rings : make sure they are assembled correctly, check the loop, don't swivel the rings, just lift to check the loop. (In my case) make sure disconnected RSL is stowed safely. Under canopy I continuously do my AAD check (Altitude, Airspace, Dropzone). How high am I? Is there any traffic near me? Where am I flying to? If I am not high enough to fly to where I am supposed to land, where else can I land? As always check with an instructor, but this was just some info that has been useful to me.
