Damn it!!!! I was just looking at some pics a friend of mine got from a titty bar he went to on his birthday (I wasn't there ), but it's a little late to scan them now - he lives an hour and a half away. Oh, well, here's a *BUMP* to make sure a quality thread stays on top

I guess the whole open-source thing appeals to my cheap-ass. Since I know there are many computer educated type people here, what do you think of this article? Is this a "resistance is futile" move on Microsoft's part? Or is Linux too well established for me to worry about it?

I used to collect baseball cards, like most kids my age did. The weird thing was I never was really into baseball. I still have them, does anybody know if people still pay cash for them? A collector/antique nut family member of mine said they kind of died out. If they are worth something then, hell, jackpot!

I was going through some old pics and came across this one from a fly in or something that I went to. It's the only one I can't ID. The cockpit looks like it's made for very high visibility like a helicopter. The propulsion is certainly unique. Anybody know what this is and what it's used for?

I've just figured it out. It seems so obvious, but I guess I didn't want to admit it. I'm talking about why I hate the holiday season. I hate it because it means getting together with family, and that includes my grandfather. My grandfather who is in a wheelchair, who can't talk, who needs food fed to him, who lives in a nursing home, who straddles the line between "not quite dead" to "almost dead". I know damn well I sound cruel, but it's the truth, and I hate it. When I'm with him it just kills me wondering what is inside his head. His body doesn't work but maybe his mind still does. Maybe he has tons of ideas to express in his head but his mouth won't let him do it. If that's the case then I can't even imagine the kind of pain that would bring. I personally would rather be dead than to be trapped in that eternal prison. I guess I have no real point that I'm aware of. It's just one of those things that has been on my mind and I don't know what to do with it.
