I rarely watch anything on TV other than the news, but I've seen this one enough times to comment. I think it sucks shit. Every time Pre-Superman goes up against some wierdo it just so happens that his powers are completely useless against it. Point is - there is no point! It's Dawson's Creek with potential super powers that don't do a damn thing. Just anothe drama. I remember running and jumping around the house in my Superman underwear pretending I could fly and kick the shit out of all the bad guys. "Smallvile" is beyond lame in comparison.

Your instructor was right, the 172 would just be an expensive novelty for you. But than again, what the hell??? I sure had fun in the BRAND SPANKIN NEW Skyhawk that I got checked out in. I tell you what, the "new car smell" don't have nothn' on "New airplane smell!!!" As a side note - I HIGHLY recommend Tony Kern's "Redifining Airmanship". I personally believe this book should be REQUIRED reading for anybody that puts their hands on the controls of an aircraft.

CONGRATS!!!!!!! I soloed in a 152 and know the feeling very well! What's next in your flight training agenda? And, if I may ask, what is your goal in learning to fly? Commercial, or just for fun?

It's pretty simple, really. Nice guys get ripped off sometimes, it's a fact in today's society. But it certainly doesn't mean people shouldn't be good to other people. At least I hope so.

What exactly is this plane's role supposed to be? What weapons can it carry? It certainly looks pretty cool, but based on the website, it doesn't look like anything beyond what an ambitious homebuilder could come up with, provided the cash.

Can't you just get caller ID? I only pay a few bucks extra for it every month and I love it. If the call comes up "unavailable" I just don't answer. As for cell phones, I've never had any telemarketers call mine, and I'd be pissed if they did, being I'd have to pay for it. Has anybody here ever had a solicting call on their cell phone? I would think (hope) that there are laws against that, because, again, the person recieving the call pays for it.
