I was just about to suggest photoshop. Here's a link to some great plugins http://www.thepluginsite.com/resources/freeps.htm Little Ink Pot has a great tool called Xpose!, and OptikVerve Labs has another very useful tool called Virtual Photographer. Often, what would had been a great photo, if not for -/+ exposure can be brought to life with some creative work using the many tools in PS and with all of the plugins available you can expand your arsenal to give your work that wow factor. Another great site for learning more about techniques http://photoshoptechniques.com/forum/index.php "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." I spliced the 3/32 stereo plug from my Pentax cable switch, part #PECS205 on to my bite switch. Works great. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

In the near 20 years that I've owned my Model of 1917, it has never even been pointed at a human. Up until I bought it, I have no idea if anyone has ever been killed with it. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

We don't often agree but, I fully agree that cruelty is just that, cruel. We were there as guest of the Ferrocarriles Nacionales de Mexico so, I was able to get down behind the red wall (we were also permitted in where the matadores were but, photos were not allowed). I admit that I was very excited about it. I never thought all that much about a bullfight but, after watching one firsthand and to hear the bulls cry of agony, I left with so much disrespect for it. LOL I did years ago when I was about 10 or 11yo. We saw a bullfight in a movie and thought we would try it in the field across the road. My dad whopped our stupid asses. You're right, it was pretty scary when the bull lowered his head and pawed the ground staring at us. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Are you telling me that you never hope the matador gets a horn up his ass? I've been to the bullfights in Mexico City and never did I hope to see any of the matadors be gored. After watching the bullfight, I will never go to see another one. It's disgusting that an animal should be put on display for the enjoyment of watching it be prodded, taunted, spiked and then ran through with a sword. I have no problem with cattle raised for feeding the people nor, do I have a problem with hunting to eat. Putting their death up as a form of entertainment is wrong. I shot the attached photos in 1994. They are of two different matadors. Although, I understand the cultural difference between our countries and that the bullfight is centuries old, it's not for me. The agonizing death of the bull is not what I care to ever watch again. It should be noted that the meat of the bull is donated to those in need. So, your brother would not deserve to die for doing something stupid, such as taunting a caged animal but, everyone does? "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
-
Your defense makes no sense. If my brother turned out to be a deranged serial killer, of course I would do everything in my power not to smear his name simply because he is my brother, because he is family. However, his actions would speak for itself, and thus his labelings would be justified and deserved. It is what it is. Who said anything about serial killers? The question is "Would you feel the same way if it were your brother or any other person close to you?". Would you go about saying "My brother deserved to die, because is is a stupid fucker"? Is that to much of a question for you to grasp? Please note, it has nothing to do with serial killers. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Would you feel the same way if it were your brother or any other person close to you? I have the feeling that you would. "Mom, he was taunting a tiger in a cage!" "Serves the stupid fucker right!" Still, nothing in your profile. Not that it would mean anything as you most likely would just fill it with bullshit. Did a google search for you. Something more to your speed. http://www.deathndementia.com/category/death.html Don't bust a nut, now. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Show me one post where I made fun of a death??? What I am saying is a particular action deserved the reaction. Am I the only one here that thinks this guy got what he deserved? No, others have also agreed. Oh and BTW - The troll accusation, please. Grow up. Saying a person deserves to die for "maybe taunting" an animal in a cage is very much making lite of their death. The others who also think a person deserves death should also find some compassion within themselves. Wishing death is deplorable and degrades you as a human. Troll accusation? I'm only calling it as I see it. Grow up? I'm 47. I am an adult. I behave as an adult. I don't believe taunting a caged animal is defense that warrants death. You do. I'm glad we are not friends. I would distance myself from any person who believes as you do. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

I'm thinking, you are a troll. No info in your profile. You recently registered. Your only postings are you making fun of a death. Maybe you should troll the death and gore websites. I'm sure you'll be welcomed amongst those sick people. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

I'm thinking, you wouldn't feel the same way if it were your child, brother/sister or a close friend. Odd, how so many people get enjoyment out of something like this. I find it to be a sick mind that thinks any person deserves to be chewed upon by a tiger. I bet you just long for the days of the Roman Coliseum. Do you also laugh when a jumper slams in (a low turn is not very smart)? How about those who are being killed in Iraq (volunteering to go to war is not very smart)? How about when a child is hit by a car due to running out into the street chasing a ball (not very smart to not stop and look both ways)? I would hope that you don't find enjoyment in those things. Why would you find enjoyment in this case? Taunting an animal is not a smart thing to do and something can surely happen to cause injury or death but, it is sad and not something to find enjoyment in. You should be ashamed for finding it to be. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

I wouldn't wish this on anyone. The shame is that one died, two are injured and a beautiful animal is now dead also. What a shame. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

I set the dust removal to operate on start up. Also, the dust is shooked onto an adhesive to keep it from being attracted back to the filter. (Not sure how it operates on cameras other than the K10D). I think it is a plus if you're changing lenses quite a bit. I did call Pentax technical department this AM concerning the in body SR and what affect pressure changes would have on it. Unfortunately, that department is closed untill after the first of the year. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

The Pentax uses a 3/32 stereo jack. I think the canon uses the same type. Is that right? "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Happy B-day "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

I am really a bit concerned about the SR question. After reading the specifics on Pentax's system and others, I do see how different they are. I do plan on calling Pentax for a bit more light on it in regards to pressure changes. As for my bite switch, I've used the same one on an old ZX for several years. I probably should order another one and wire it to a plug for a spare. If all goes fine in freefall, I think the K10D will give jumpers another option as the price is great. The SR question does give me a bit of concern, however. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

My only reference to skydiving was this "The weather seals make it especialy suited for skydiving (I haven't yet jumped mine but, plan to soon) as does the dust removal function for automatic cleaning of the ccd.". I do see the seals as a plus for the enviroment in which cameras are used in. Plase note that I did say that I have not yet jumped it and made no such claim. Also note that I gave my overall opinion of the camera and never gave any actual opinion on it for skydiving. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Not yet as I recently bought it a few weeks back and haven't had any free time to jump due to other concerns. The free floating sensor has me a bit concerned but, I'll see how that goes when I finally do have a chance to jump it. I did look into other cameras but, made my choice for the K10D largely due to having a fair number of K mount lenses and that I am somewhat of a loyalist when it comes to cameras. Been shooting Pentax ever since I sold my AE1 and went with a Pentax ME and a P3. Shucks, I still can't bare to part with my old 645. I know, I know... completely bias. I wired the plug from my cable switch (PECS205) to my bite switch. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

I haven't jumped it yet myself but, plan to soon. Going through the manuals specifications, I don't see anything that indicates that the sensor is free floating. Hmmmm. Edit to add; Just found this. http://72.14.205.104/search?q=cache:PcFBp9Y91H4J:www.pentaxslr.com/files/scms_docs//PENTAX_SR_Description_091506.pdf+Pentax+K10D+shake+reduction&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black."
