  1. Basically, just taking the Compass test and applying through the Fort Scott Community College. You'll also have to register for Pitt State College for the english classes and math as well as electives. My tuititon is being paid for through Vocational Rehabilitation (and for new tools and rollaway box). It's about $120.00 per credit hour. Total for an A.A.S. degree is 64 credit hours. http://www.fortscott.edu/academics/programs/HD/index.asp "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." 2. Looks like that sled is coming along nicely. As much as I love my Rigid Norton, I'd love to build another Hawg. Right now I'm at the Harley Davidson Technical and Professional Development Center (the only school ran by Harley-Davidson) for the next two years to get get signed off on all of the PHDs for my master technician papers. H-D's goal is to stop hiring MMI students and to use technicians that they train themselves. This is the fifth year that the school has been opened. As for another bike, I'll most likely take advantage of the employee discount and buy myself another FLSTF before I graduate. 3. I'm starting school at the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Technician and Professional Development Center in Frontenac, Ks. on Jan. 12th. This is the only school ran by Harley themselves. 4. 2 of my favorite shots. First one taken above the round pond at Skydive Missouri in Mount Vernon. The second one was taken at West Tennessee Skydiving. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  5. Running with the Devil came out in 1978 during my senior year in high school. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  6. AC/DC with Bon Scott. Highway to Hell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erJc4dzZ3IA&NR=1 "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  7. No band or anyone can rock like AC/DC. Bon Scott was amazing but Brian Johnson had no problem filling Scott's shoes. In the 70's, during the Scott years, they were second to Black Sabbath, until Ozzy was kicked from Sabbath. In the 80's, they were the ruling Gods of Metal. To this day, they still hold that honor. IMO Hell's Bells is the greatest metal song ever written. They will be releasing another album this year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwxJ46HWXbA I'm rolling thunder, pouring rain I'm comin' on like a hurricane My lightning's flashing across the sky You're only young but you're gonna die I won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives Nobody's putting up a fight I got my bell, I'm gonna take you to hell I'm gonna get ya, Satan get ya CHORUS: Hell's Bells Yeah, Hell's Bells You got me ringing Hell's Bells My temperature's high, Hell's Bells I'll give you black sensations up and down your spine If you're into evil you're a friend of mine See my white light flashing as I split the night 'cause if Good's on the left, then I'm stickin' to the right I won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives Nobody's puttin' up a fight I got my bell, I'm gonna take you to hell I'm gonna get ya, Satan get ya Hell's Bells Yeah, Hell's Bells You got me ringing Hell's Bells My temperature's high, Hell's Bells CHORUS yeow Hell's Bells, Satan's comin' to you Hell's Bells, he's ringing them now Hell's Bells, the temperature's high Hell's Bells, across the sky Hell's Bells, they're takin' you down Hell's Bells, they're draggin' you under Hell's Bells, gonna split the night Hell's Bells, there's no way to fight, yeah Ow, ow, ow, ow Hell's Bells "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." 8. If you cannot pack a canopy after 30 jumps... and you also have an A license,,, find a sport where your life does not depend on someone making sure you have a canopy over your head after an uneventful freefall. Learn to do it yourself and quite fucking complaining about it. Pack your own shit or go sit on a couch. Tired of hearing people complain about crap that they, themselves, are completly responsible for. You want to skydive? Take some freaking resposibility and learn the damn ropes or go fucking bowling instead. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  9. Never Ending Math Equation By Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse) Cover by Mark Kozeleck (Sun Kil Moon) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zV3noldab34 I'm the same as I was when I was 6 years old And oh my God I feel so old I don't really feel anything On a plane, I can see the tiny lights below And oh my God, they look so alone Do they really feel anything? Oh my God, I've gotta gotta gotta gotta move on Where do you move when what you're moving from Is yourself? The universe works on a math equation that never even ever really even ends in the end Infinity spirals out creation We're on the tip of its tongue, and it is saying We aint sure where you stand You aint machines and you aint land And the plants and the animals, they are linked And the plants and the animals eat each other Oh my God and oh my cat I told my Dad what I need Well I know what I have and want But I don't know what I need Well, he said he said he said he said "Where we're going I'm dead." In My Life John Lennonn There are places i'll remember All my life though some have changed Some forever not for better Some have gone and some remain All these places have their moments With lovers and friends i still can recall Some are dead and some are living In my life i've loved them all But of all these friends and lovers There is no one compares with you And these memories lose their meaning When i think of love as something new Though i know i'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know i'll often stop and think about them In my life i love you more Though i know i'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know i'll often stop and think about them In my life i love you more In my life i love you more "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." 10. So sad this week has been, but, in a strange way, I am happy for them, but sad for us. The preacher at their services talked about them and it is clear that they were ready for what came, however so quick. I can never get use to the death of others as I am so prepared for my own, after living so long with the probability. It baffles me how someone so young and prepared to live so fully can leave so early. It is a fathomable depth unimaginable. It really is, with truth, that I cannot grasp. I am not religous, nor do i believe that there is a heaven or hell. I do, however, believe that we do carry on after we leave this realm and it is our quest for life that encourage those after us to go to the next level. My very good friends, Paul Burke and Kevin Brennan as well as Big Dave Paternastor, Bob Walsh, Scott Cowan and all jumpers who have gone in the direction that their lives has taken them, thank you for what you have given to the condition we connect to. For the newest to go, thank you for presenting yourselves to the world and living on your own terms. My hope for all, Mark S. Hamm "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  11. Blue skies, Marnie. Your hugs and radiant smile will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to her family and to Fletch. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  12. My heart goes out to the Collins family and to Justice. Like all jumpers who go before us, she will be greatly missed. Blue skies. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  13. No More War By Eddie Vedder I speak for a man who gave for this land Took a bullet in the back for his pay Spilled his blood in the dirt and the dust He's back to say: What he has seen is hard to believe And it does no good to just pray He asks of us to stand And we must end this war today With his mind, he's saying, "No more!" With his heart, he's saying, "No more!" With his life he's saying, "No more war!" With his eyes, he's saying, "No more!" With his body, he's saying, "No more!" With his voice, he's saying, "No more war!" Yeah, nothing's too good for a veteran Yeah, this is what they say So nothing is what they will get And there's no American way The lies we were told to get us to go Were criminal (?)... let us be straight Let's get to the point where our voices get heard And I know what I'll say With his mind, he's saying, "No more!" With his heart, he's saying, "No more!" With his life he's saying, "No more war!" With his eyes, he's saying, "No more!" With his voice, he's saying, "No more!" With his body, he's saying, "No more war!" No more innocents dying No more terror rising No more eulogizing No more evangelizing No more presidents lying No more war With our minds, we're saying, "No more!" With our hearts, we're saying, "No more!" With our lives, we're saying, "No more war!" "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

  15. Why is it far easier for some to put the blame on the unions? Unions have constantly cut back over the years. Not sure if you ever worked on a factory floor but, it is hard back breaking repetitive work that deserves a living wage and some level of healthcare. Not all union jobs pay above $20.00 per hour. The second largest employer (The VA is the largest) in Mount Vernon, Mo., Reyco Granning (http://transport.tuthill.com/About/about_History.cfm) is gearing up to move all of it's work to China. They have been in this area since 1973. They are a union plant. Teamsters. Top pay in the factory is around $11.00 per hour and very little for benefits. A friend of mine is an engineer in the factory. He stopped by yesterday and complained of how the company puts all of the blame on the union workers for all of the loss over the last few years but, he tells me, the blame lies soley on the company itself. The company has refused to replace worn equipment. Material loss is high due to faulty machines that are jury rigged to run. He tells me that it is obvious that the company wants failure in the facility so that it can justify closing and sending the entire operation overseas. Once it closes, what is to come of the people who have given a good number of years of their life to the company? It is not like there are jobs all over this part of the state. Fact is, most jobs in the Ozarks are extremely low paying with little or no benefits. These jobs force people to become dependant on assistance from the state to make ends meet (food stamps, healthcare, housing...). It is sad to blame those on the bottom for the wrongs of those at the top. When I worked at Hussmann Refrigeration, we took a lot of cuts that were to ensure us that we would have jobs. In the end Ingersol - Rand (whom owns Hussmann) went ahead and layed off the majority of us anyway and sent the jobs to Mexico. Talk about disappointment. Nothing sucks like being handed a pink slip after being told that your job is safe. What to do? Hmmm, after bouncing around and not getting anywhere with old skills, I am going back to school. Vocational Rehab. I have decided on autobody at the Ozark Techincal College. I was looking at graphics design but, that is a job that can be easily sent overseas. Can't send dented fenders to India for repair. I recommend that everyone who has lost their job to jump on the benefit wagon and use YOUR tax dollars to retrain. Better that the state spends my taxes on retraining me than to continue paying out to support me on disability. At 48 years old, what else can I do? 16. You only need to do a quick search to see what a scam she is. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7DKUS&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=sylvia+browne+debunked&spell=1 Do you honestly believe that a person can talk to the dead or see the future? If so... I have a deal for you but first I'll need your credit card number... "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  17. Did you ask his mother? I am a mother. I'd prefer my kid to be safe and alive without all those shining medals on his coffin and an old man telling lies. Ask your glorious leader in a week. He'll have forgotten who Mr. Monsoor actually was That does not mean I'm debasing that poor dead guy. His name simply is used for progaganda. Reminds me on events 60+ years ago in a country/countries far away from yours.... Does it really matter if the president forgets this man's name? There will be many who will remember him for years to come. Same as those who died before him in past wars. I remember Ralph Campion Bisz. So do many others. http://www.google.com/search?q=ralph+bisz&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7DKUS I recieved his POW/MIA bracelet back in 1969 and held on to it until 1997. After learning that he died in Vietnam, I contacted his family and gave them the bracelet. I didn't know Ralph, personally but, I knew him just the same and will always remember him. It doesn't matter what a politician remembers but, it does matter that the common person remembers those who died fighting in a just or unjust war not of their making. I salute PO Monsoor the same as I salute Ltjg Ralph Campion Bisz. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  18. Canned hunts are for those who have no business in the woods with the rest of us. I wouldn't go on one and I only kill what I am going to eat. 21. Not very wise to mix meds without a doctors approval. If you have a tolerance you should talk to your doctor about that. My doc has me on 7 different drugs at this time. Propoxyphene N / Acetaminophen 100/650 Potassium Chloride 8meq Fluoxetine HCL 20mg Ranitdine HCL 150mg Lamivudine 150mg Zidovudine 300mg Sustiva 200mg (this stuff makes you trip like on mushrooms and should only be taken at bedtime or Pink Floyd concerts) And one multivitamin. In all, I take 19 pills a day and it appears that more are coming for other health problems (overactive thyroid as I have an extremely low TSH). As for the painkiller, I find that a joint does far better than the pill without side effects. Propoxy / acetaminophen is hell on the stomach. 25. Mark Kozelek of the Red House Painters other band, Sun Kil Moon. His covers of Modest Mouse tunes are worth a serious listen to. Actually, I like his versions of the songs better than Brocks.
