Ladies, should a guy be a gentleman to you?
freethefly replied to JohnMitchell's topic in The Bonfire
To hell with the ladies! John, I have little choice but to ask you to kindly hand over your Man Card and to relinquish your secret key to the Man Club (I have already passed you transgression on to our President, Hefner. I was informed by his little furry bunny spies that you have been a target for sometime now. Apparently, you have harbored these feeling for quite awhile. The council is deeply dismayed. John, grow a pair! Com'on son, jump on a winning team! Tag along as we march through the moist tangled valley of the more difficult gender and spike firmly into the mound our staff of dominance. However... we have seen your woman and will completely understand if you ignore our advice. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young -
I had to watch it twice... and THAT was not enough! Not going to watch it three times because... well there is not a zipper strong enough and if I were to be so careless I could be held responsible for the actions of my penis. To date, I have had to pay dearly for the careless actions of my penis. If I were not so attached to my penis, I would turn the prick in to the proper authority! To be honest, my penis is not to blamed for its actions! It has to hang around with two nuts and an asshole 24 hours a day! Pity my penis for it is a product of its environment and, for a good part of its life it was kept in the dark only to see light, on and off for at least 60 minutes at a time. No wonder it's bald! Can this guy be the greatest guitarist ever?
freethefly replied to freethefly's topic in The Bonfire
Hey, let us get back to the basics! Let we not forget the man you pushed the electric guitar into the limelight?... Lester William Polsfuss (June 9, 1915 – August 12, 2009) most know of him as Les Paul. With out this pioneer on the electronic frontier... would many songs based on the "Les Paul" sound be as appealling on a Fender Stratocaster? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByGsHTlKmWk ... just to dang good to turn off! "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young -
Because it reminds me of you... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCKCRmPNqE8 An instrumental titled "Lisa" from David Sanborn. And... "Rain on Christmas" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Goia8OuAExI a David Sanborn piece performed by Walter Lakota on alto sax. Been a great year! Prior to 2009... Lisa was instrumental in me getting by. She helped me in many ways and I can never express my gratitude to such an amazing woman! So... I'll just say thank you

And besides, when I get my bachelors degree, I plan on building, maybe five bikes a years to take to Daytona and Sturgis ( Yeah, I know, said I'll never go back after spending a night in the jail there (1992) but, hey, there are many morons that will pay $50,000 for a "custom" bike that that cost no more than $5000 to build). So... how you doing Gypsy? Oh, I asked my Norton if she remembered you and she shudder and shook and then commenced to cowering in the corner of the garage. She went on to wimpering about untold atrocities of sexual deviation and degradation. After all of these years... one would think that it would be a memory faded firmly in the past... The least you could had done was knock her up... just think how much cash I could had made selling her offspring... little baby Norckles (cross bred Nortons and Knuckles). Hey, if your Knuck is up to it, my Norton is still hot to trot! "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

OH, how our recent history fades further from view... in just less than 100 years of America's history blood ran down the gutters of America's streets for a controlling interest in the illegal alcohol trade, only because of the legislation. The same became reality when the marijuana stamp tax act became law, making 1000's upon thousands criminals... just because some one (Anslinger) decided that smoking pot is immoral. Their thinking does not make it so. There is far more to concern ourselves about than someone smoking a joint. Now, do not get me wrong, Dave. I do respect you and respect what you do. My nephew is the K-9 officer on a multi-district drug task force. Most cops that I have talked to agree that the law is the main problem. They are forced to target pot smokers because it is an easy bust. It's all about numbers. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

I got straight "A's" back in high school in the 70's and I am a perfect 4.0 student here at Pitt State. I have smoked pot since 1972. I do very well. No problem. So much for the "This is your brain on pot" commercial. If people want to worry about what is really wrong, stop the worry about the little things and focus on the real problems. Meth, heroin, cocaine... Alcohol was an illegal drug at one time in this country... seems not too many want to harp on that fact, because it is legal now. That must mean it is alright. Most people used alcohol and tobacco before they ever used pot, therefore alcohol and tobacco are the gateway drug to pot! Pot may not be the healthiest substance to put in your body but, neither is the alcohol that many anti-marijuana people use... That said, don't bitch about what another does that does not affect you and others will not bitch about what you do that does not affect them. To each his/her own. Just be careful to not cross the line. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Paco jams with John McLaughlin , Al Di Meola. Wasn't exactly meaning "The Greatest", although it came off that way. Been going to concerts since 1972. Seen many of the best of this best. I guess I was referring to his virtuoso ability. I was amazed at how he played "Take Five". Hard enough on one guitar, let alone two representing the piano part and the wind part, and playing in 5/4 time! This guys left and right hemispheres must be firmly connected. If you're from St.Louis, you may have heard of the death of Josh Herr. If you're not, I want you to here his music. Josh and my niece were to marry next year. He gave Amber a beautiful daughter, Alaina. Josh was the leadman of the rock band 360smile. They toured tirelessly with bands such as Blue October, Buckcherry and Social Burn to only name a few. They were still awaiting the release of their debut album, Addiction, at the time of Josh's death last thursday. Josh was an amazing songwriter, guitarist, and singer. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and by the daughter who will only know him through the songs he wrote. I can only wish that Josh had a chance to record the song he wrote for Alaina. I had the chance to hear him play it at my sisters house last month. Although he was not yet legally family, we thought of him as such just the same. I really hope that you click this link and listen to him perform. Please check out the other links on youtube to hear more of Josh's music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU4zSKm2JVY "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." I had a black light poster on my wall way back in the early 70's of this poem. Made sense then and even more so today. By Fritz Pearls the founder of Gestalt Therapy I do my thing and you do your thing. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations and you are not in the world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I. If by chance we find each other it is beautiful! If not, it cannot be helped. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Two sisters, one blonde and one brunette, inherit the family ranch. Unfortunately, after just a few years, they are in financial trouble. In order to keep the bank from repossessing the ranch, they need to purchase a bull so that they can breed their own stock. Upon leaving, the brunette tells her sister,'When I get there, if I decide to buy the bull, I'll contact you to drive out after me and haul it home.' The brunette arrives at the man's ranch, inspects the bull, and decides she wants to buy it. The man tells her that he will sell it for $599, no less. After paying him, she drives to the nearest town to send her sister a telegram to tell her the news. She walks into the telegraph office, and says, 'I want to send a telegram to my sister telling her that I've bought a bull for our ranch. I need her to hitch the trailer to our pickup truck and drive out here so we can haul it home.' The telegraph operator explains that he'll be glad to help her, then adds, it will cost 99 cents a word.' Well, after paying for the bull, the brunette realizes that she'll only be able to send her sister one word. After a few minutes of thinking, she nods and says, 'I want you to send her the word 'comfortable.' The operator shakes his head. 'How is she ever going to know that you want her to hitch the trailer to your pickup truck and drive out here to haul that bull back to your ranch if you send her just the word 'comfortable?' The brunette explains, 'My sister's blonde. The word is big. She'll read it very slowly…… 'com--for--da--bul.' I had the honor of meeting your father at Freefall Express in Mount Vernon, MO. some years back. Spent more than an hour talking to him about his chuteless jumps and his skydiving career. It was a pleasure to hear his stories. The man is a skydiving legend and a very nice person. Wish I could attend. Yup, I recall that shop. I bought a few parts for the Norton build from there. Got the 16" rim and spokes from there to lace to the stock hub. The Z-bars came from there as did the solo seat and p-pad. I mostly did business with Sonny's or Rocket. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Were you working at Sonny Angel's shop in National City or maybe Rocket Cycles in Spring Valley? By the way, love the Knucks. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Hmmm... i haven't been in SoCal since 84. Is it the Norton that you recall? I use to hang at a biker bar called the El Cajon Lounge on University Ave. Also, Ed's Beer on the same road and at the Rathskeller in Imperial Beach. You look familiar. The pic is me and my 2 ladies at the H-D tech center in Frontenac KS Or... maybe it's my evil twin that you remember. That good for nothing half torqued nutcase has gotten me in more trouble... Hey Joe, school is going great. Got a 4.0 average. Kind of odd being back in school and being the oldest in the class. Gives me the step-up as I have been building and riding Harleys longer than the majority of the class have been alive. Not doing bad here. Voc-Rehab got me a house at $350 a month.
