The movie didn't do the books justice, in my opinion. Read the books, they're great. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Bush is a war criminal. Obama is a Muslim terrorist supporter. I LOVE guns. Now, it belongs here. If you can think of any other SC staples, please add to the list. I would hate to see this moved to the BF. Those folks just ain't right. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

One day God and Adam were walking in the garden. God told Adam that it was time to populate the Earth. "Adam, you can start by kissing Eve." Adam looks puzzled at God, "Lord, what is a kiss?". God explained, and then Adam took Eve behind the bush and kissed her. A little while later, Adam returned with a big smile and said, "Lord! That was great! What's next?" "Adam, I now want you to caress Eve." Puzzled again he asks, "Lord, what is caress?" God explained, and then Adam took Eve behind the bush and caressed her. A little while later, Adam returned with a big smile and said, "Lord that was even better than a kiss! What's next?" "Here is what gets the deed done. I now want you to make love to Eve." Puzzled yet again, "Lord, what is make love?" asked Adam. God explained, and then Adam took Eve behind the bush. A few seconds later, Adam returned and asked, "Lord, what is a headache?" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CCHR I once read Dianetics. By the time I finished it, I had a good understanding that the CoS is completely nuts. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Might I then recommend Woody Allen's MATCH POINT? JerryBaumchen How about "What's Up, Tiger Lily." One of the least mentioned of Woody Allen classics. Was popular in the early '70's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FPmp9FMRcA "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Harold and Maude. [url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEbSkybMuqs&feature=related[email] Saw it at the midnight flick back in '73. Great movie with Cat Stevens for the soundtrack. This movie stands the test of time with it's message. If you have never seen Harold and Maude. I highly recommend this movie, "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Dang, forgot about that old shit. Actually, you can still bypass the welding process http://www.permalok.com/ The guys who came up with this use to be the top dogs at Progressive Fabrication (Skyline Pipe), Richard Bauman and Arnie Barton. I first saw it in 1995 when Bauman, Mark Barton (Arnie's son), and I were setting up the factory in Ferguson, MO. Hells Angels' May Help Block Westboro Protest!

The cops are criminals as well. Given that this cop lied about one thing leads me to believe he lied about everything else. I've been around clubs since the 70's (El Forasteros, DC Eagles, Wind Tramps, Saddle Tramps and the club I rode with Road Saints) and have worn colors myself. At no time was criminal activity ever club business. of all the HA's I known over the years. All good people. One of the best runs was the HA international run that use to be held at The Lake of the Ozarks in Camdenton, MO. Never any trouble and if there was, it was taken care of. You would have to be one dumb motherfucker to fuck up at a HA run. Bike clubs are just that, bike clubs. Any criminal activity is done outside of club business. Still sad to see that RICO is alive and still targeting clubs. http://www.policeone.com/legal/articles/1730427-Seattle-cop-charged-in-Hells-Angels-shooting/ "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." In all honesty, welding is easy. Up to a point. It is not easy to do a vertical up or an overhead on pipe or plate. A 6G is an extremely hard certification. Passing an NDT can be can be somewhat nerve racking (I do hold a level 2 UX and EMF NDT card.) Especially, when you just spent several hours welding the pipe being tested. Just one dark spot means the weld is getting grounded out and a new weld will be made. I say welders are just as important as doctors as they both perform an invaluable service. Lived on one for 8 years. I've been offered my old job, but you never get home. Would be hard to skydive when you're stuck in a rail yard somewhere. All in all, it wasn't too bad. The pay was great. It's the never being home that sucked. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

They are actual jets. When they are fired up, they are freaking loud and they throw ice and ballast everywhere. Back in '91, my rail car was the last to get the new paint job. She looked pretty damn good as we worked most of the summer to bring her up to date at the Brooklyn shop in Brooklyn, IL.. We were on CSX rail when a freak blizzard slammed the Chicago area. I couldn't do a test, so we tied up for the next few days while they cleared the switches. We just happen to be clear of a pot, behind a frog. Turned out to be a bad place to be. Shortly past 3am We were awakened to the sound of a jet taking off. Seconds later came the sound of ballast slamming the side of my, somewhat newly painted, Sperry Car. I jumped out of my bed just as ballast blew out the window in my stateroom. I ran to the back and out a side door in an attempt to signal the snow blower operator. He was just passing the rear of the rail car, taking out the large plate glass and filling the recording room with sludge and ballast. All in all, he shattered the front windows, all of the side windows, and the back windows. On top of that, he filled the recording room with sludge which got into the UX/EMF box. The paint was ruined from the front, all the way down the left side, as well as the back. (I have pictures, somewhere, of the damage) The CSX had to pay for the damage. Not without condiments, we won't. A world without condiments is a world in chaos. The Union won't stand for this. Quality is job No.1! "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

RR has used jet-blowers for years. They use them to clean ice out of switches. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

H-D mechanic making 40k a year? Wow, you do live in a fantasy world! Most techs barely clear 20k. H-D? Harley Davidson Mechanic? Or Tech, (big difference) Tech's replace parts.(monkey work) Harley Mechanics Build Motorcycles , are Machinsit , welders , and usually trained in many other aspects, 40 grand is not unusal at all! Your typical wrench spinner at a dealership makes around 20k. Your typical builder does a lot better. It also depends on the area you live in. I would think that a builder in CA does better than a builder in the MO. Perceived value also comes into play. Unless, of course, you stuck a Revtech engine in the frame and then it's just perceived as junk no matter where you are at. My point being just what you mentioned. Add in more drivers coming up from Mexico. It's been a topic on the news around here, lately. What will happen, the local drivers that depend upon moving export to the border and return with import will be cut out. Starting with the independent owner/operator. The large operations will do fine. It's the small operator that's going to get screwed. And they already are. Of the 6 homes scattered down the road I live on, 4 of them are truckers. Two of them own and the other two drive for Dan Cline, a local medium size operation. The Cline trucks move more than the two owners. With little going out and more coming in the single truck owner has it rough as it is, having to compete with the larger operations. If the Mexican drivers are allowed to drive all the way up here to MO, the small operator is finished. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." ...and the overall solution is so simple, yet unfathomably complex. Enforce the law. The law is enforced, if a person buys a firearm at a gun shop. Even then, If a person has no paper trail back to prison or a mental institution, there is no reason why that person cannot buy a gun. Even then, a person may have no ill intention at the time they buy a gun. It could be years down the road or as early as right now when the next legal or illegal gun owner goes around the bend and shoots up a crowd. You know that number would be impossible to acquire, given the number of gun shows, where background checks are not required. I'm not sure how sales are handled in most States. Here in Missouri, anyone can walk into a gun show and walk out with an arsenal. Not one time being asked any questions. Sales are considered a private transaction. Just that simple to circumvent any restriction a person may have on them. John likes to spin out this little fantasy about someone walking into a gun store, drooling and muttering, and being sold a gun. How many people do YOU know who would to sell a gun to someone who obviously has mental issues? I can't think of a one - but in kallend's dream world, they're evidently everywhere. Must be that telepathy machine, where he can what their mental state was at the time they bought the gun. Most states don't require a background check for private sales, that's true - however, that doesn't prevent private sellers from doing the transaction at a gun shop and having a background check run on the purchaser. None of the above is going to deny a sale to someone that has not already been flagged in the system - THAT is the point that John so conveniently ignores when these threads come up. We can only hope that a dealer has ethics when it comes to doing gun shows and who they sell to, if it is obvious. Yet, the problem is it is more than likely that someones bad intentions are not obvious. I love going to gun shows and I have seen some of the more extremist gun nuts at shows. Those people are rarely a problem. It's usually the regular person that just seemingly flips out and kill people.
