True. But, if one has the state compensate them with a cert, are they really volunteering any more? No more than if volunteers at a soup kitchen use soup provided by someone else. The certification is infrastructure for the work being done, not compensation. I am just saying they are not being told to pay to volunteer, but to have a certification, they can volunteer in other ways. Some though, will take the certification and experience (defined by some as compensation) and get a full time job (Good for them). They have to maintain their certifications to work (State and Fed Board, Industry etc). They also volunteer, the entity they volunteer for doesn't pay for their Cert's. Add Dicks Sporting Goods right next to the Bows and Canoes. Figured it would be an easy to mount and cheap disposable camera like the, Contours, Drifts and GoPro's. On your side of the pond, maybe... I volunteer too, but not for organizations that think I should pay them to work for them without a salary. I think I'm part of the 99% that agrees with me. I see it all the time, Doctors who volunteer at Clinics, Lawyers, Sports "Icons" who teach at Clinics (not he pay to attend type) and numerous laborers too. Well, this is sort of true. And actually, in looking back at previous primaries, I have to take back what I had said that this amount is unprecedented. Actually, this has happened before. The last time it happened for the Republicans was for 1964 with Goldwater and 2003 for Kerry on the Democratic side. What's interesting, now that I look at it in more detail, it never seems to be a very good thing for whatever party has been chewing through possibilities. I recently read "Game Change" and "Known and Unknown" and am working through "Decision Points". "Seeing" the process from the "inside" makes me like it even less. It is all sorts of fucked up the way that each Candidates Campaign handles the others, as well as their own Candidate. Very little, is any, consideration is given for the Country or its Citizens. While the front runner in the Democratic party may have changed leads a couple of times, it was nothing like this silliness of raising on a pedestal, chewing up and spitting out of candidates we're seeing the Republicans going through.
