  1. On our team we usually exit individually and build the formation in freefall. If a piece is being chunked it usually pulls its smoke as the outside flyers break off. if it is a individual exit pull your m-18 lanyard AFTER your clear of the A/C. if your pulling your lanyard in freefall make it long enough to reach the hard ware on your leg strap. Hold the lanyard and the loop with thin rubber bands around your leg (the kind from your old newspaper delivery days). Smoke prep is a big part too. Use a "safety" pin and remove the pin, pull ring and spoon. take care not to let the hammer fire the smoke (the reason for the safety pin) then put the pullpin back with out the pull ring and spoon. Once the pin is back (remember to recock the hammer!) tie gutted 550 cord (old round parachute cord, not suspension line from a new model canopy to costly) make the cord as long as you need (if it is as long as to your hip you can do the exit pull or the freefall lanyard option (actual name used by the USAPT, Screaming Eagles, Silver Wings, All Americans and Black Daggers). Did this help? or just confuse the crap out of you? Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  2. Airspeed with 8-way gold and GK with silver. So go Army in 10 and 16-way! Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  5. Thank You, I stand corrected. I guess my Sigma owners manual is out of date from the web page info. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  6. So the final standings for 8-way are pretty much set if you ask me. I do not see a 6 point difference being closed in 1 round of 8 way. I STILL SAY ARMY DID A FINE JOB!! Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  7. I got an A missed one question. I think a few of the ladies who answered the masterbation question fibbed. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  8. The calendar says later today. Go Army! Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  9. Ralph's method is how I was instructed by the RWS. I got thte impression from TK that it was based on the Vector 2 design and the ease in training Vector 2 T-I's on the Sigma. But the manual says; That is right nothing in the Sigma Manual labels the handles. Page 13 only refers to the system as the "Recoil Ripcord System" So thanks. I hadn't read the manual in a few weeks so it was cool to crack it open. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  10. So 4-way came out the way a few folks predicted. I also think that the performance of Fire will put an end to some folks "voicings" over NM and her skill. Obviously she is world caliber, she has proven it all year long and in the face of a tough jump off, came out ahead! I still wish Army had won but, damn fine job Fire! Now how about 8-way? I say the Knights and Airspeed will be very focused but think that the Knights will use the 4-way silver as a motivator to get 8-way gold! Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  11. NSL and Omniskore both have Fire with a 36 t othe GK 34. Good job Fire! Better luck to the GK fellows for the 8-way event. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  18. I am not in the "know" but have never heard that one. But being a soldier I know that the services are all running a pretty tight rotation between comabat units and non combat units. So it could be possible, but I would hope not. I have been there 2 times already and would like my friends to stay home and safe. Oh I know they have mixed emotions about it them selves. On one hand you want to go do your job and on the other you want to stay home and relativiely safe. Matt Sorry for the side ways trip there! It wasn't a complete High Jack! Go GK 4-Way!! An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  19. Shush I am working! An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  21. Sneaky those Army guys! Hiding stuff in plain veiw like that! Didn't the old web page have a seperate schedule or page for the B&G meet? An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  22. Fastrax just moved up and the Knights hold their lead! I do hope I am wrong in my original post! Go GK 4-Way
  23. Video. And the other slots are pretty flexable. Myself and the other jumper where the outside and inside centers. But lately I have been having fun on point and occasionally tail. My biggest concern is the date and seeing of my schedule will allow the trip. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  24. GK Black is getting faster each round it would appear. I think if they keep tha pace a lot of pridiction may be off, including mine, but hey I am pulling for them any way! Airspeed does rule but the Gk squad are the favorites in my book! Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  25. I tired the GK web sight and coudn't find the dates. I must have just missed it. Our team is down to 2 active jumpers due to the deployment. If we do get to go we will be needing 2 others and video! or we could just go have fun and fill in where ever. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
