Whe nyou talk to Ankie (great lady and very lovley too) ask her about the bright cordura colors. You won't go wrong. My work rigs are Parapck but they get replaced more quickly than the personnal trig does. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

12 from the 182 with out me packing, about five hours of jumping. 8 from the 182 with me packing, about six to seven hours of me jumping/packing. 14 from the tail gate A/C with out me packing, about six hours of me jumping. Packing is what wears me out during the summer. When I do not have to pack it is because we have more than 1 rig and a packer is working his or her butt off. The jumps themselves always increase my focus and if I don't feel the focus leval on high I stop for the day. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

Call Flight Conepts International. They make a lot of custom mains and do it at a very reasonable price. They do several of the US Military teams logos on the large and small canoopies. The military logos can be very complicated and they all come out looking great. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

one other point (or not a point but opinion) I like to use a skydiver coach for the wind tunnel whe nworking on improving my skydiving skills. Since I am looking at fulfiling the license requirments and additional intructor ratings requirments. Again just my thought and opinion. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. I have a new michigan suit on the way with the rigid booty. It has closed cell 1/4 foam sandwiched in between the cordura booty material, the theory is to allow more power with less muscle tension required. I would ask Matt Davidson of the GK 4 way team of the vented booty, he has a few jumps in theset up from what I know and is real helpful in these things. If skydiving improvement is your goal go to AAC in North Carolina. The Pigeon Forge Tunne lis a bit slower than real freefall air (from my trips) and it would be better to use the more realistic air speeds at AAC. You can get info in the Tunnel Forum. Closing loops may need to be taken in a bit. The rig may have "stretched" a bit with the 190 and now with a 170 it needs to be adjusted. Just my opinion. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

I have about 450 tandems out of helo's, all military. We always do no less than 90 knots on exit and it is the same exit, set drogue and handle check as if it was a King Air or Otter. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

Giving the Rangers Black Beret to everyone in the Army?
matthewcline replied to steve1's topic in Speakers Corner
Kallends acount is backed by the Army Instatute of Heraldry. I have worn many of the disputed forms of headgear in the last 18.5 years. I have earned many of the medals ribbons and badges in the last 18.5 years too. The one that means the most to me is the 5 inch tape that says US.ARMY. Regardless of what is pinned, sewn or placed on a uniform it is servicemens (and Women) perfomance in the field that counts, not the rows of ribbons or qualifications. The marines do not place a bunch of stuff on thier battle uniform or on their head to show you who they are, they just show you through performance, the Army's SOF and high esprit de corp units are the same way, as I am sure the Navy and Air Force are. Side bar; Rogers Rangers whore a bit different version but it was a Black Beret none the less, any one know the year (75th guys can't anser, you have the unfair advantage). somebody out there jumping a rage form FCI.
matthewcline replied to palejo's topic in Gear and Rigging
I only jumped an airlock once so I can't compare them. The recovery arch of the rage (for me) was fairly long but like the 2 PD's I jump the arch could be adjusted with the brakes by using a little pop on them. But it does handle pretty damn good in my opinion. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!! -
somebody out there jumping a rage form FCI.
matthewcline replied to palejo's topic in Gear and Rigging
I have never jumped the Diablo series parachute to compare them. The PD canopies is where I have prior Hi-perf experience. The only privious cross brace was an FX many moons ago. Maybe the Rage could compare to air locked canopies do to its small nose openning. But some one who has that type of canopy experience would have to do that camparison. I have never been upset with any of FCi's products (nor any other current maker too) and would gladly recommend their products to potential buyers. No, I am not sponsored by them, but, hey maybe if I keep this up.... Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
