Badger is in Wired Magazine. ftr - it was just meant as something cute to have on the table. He was quite surprised at how many people actually thought it was a "good idea"

    Do you even read other peoples post or do you just make it up as you go? Where did I say that I want it to be exclusive? - I have stated that changes do need to be made. And that there are big issues with health care. - I have pointed out the hypocrisy of the OP on his attitude of the "illegal Mexicans" -I have mentioned that I have a LESS than exclusive patient population - I have gone to foreign countries to help with medical care. How do you get that I want medical care to be exclusive? If this level of reading comprehension is the result of government sponsored education.... I'm scared what government sponsored medical care would do.

    Ya know what, Lucky, I DO treat the paying like my non-paying. Someone gave my sister care when she was pregnant and had nothing, and I give that back.... but I, personally, don't need to work for every dollar to pay back my loans and my group is very tolerant of me not bringing in all the high dollar insurance customers. BUT.... my treatment of patients on a personal level has very little to do with what I want the government to mandate. Similar to the fact that I enjoy doing medical missions but would resent it if Peru said "America, you NEED to send doctors here to take care of us." Where do the DEMANDS end? Giving is one thing. Having it taken is another. I will gladly give. But the coercion is NOT acceptable. And caps on liability . . . . that's a whole different debate.

    it really depends on which bone is broke, how it set itself and how quickly it heals. Broken, nonhealing bones can cause big problems (House missed one and the pt began having fat emboli) Might not be an ER visit, but call your doc.

    I do not have cable. During this past month of "rest," I bought the seasons for the shows that I do not have access too (Torchwood, Dr. Who) and watched them.

    This was my comment to you in Jan 2007 on this topic This was your reply I don't think you want to discuss or debate the issues. "I'm right" is your cry and anyone that doesn't side with you is selfish. There is no looking at how to resolve this. I have admitted that this system is broken and I've been saying it for more than a year. . . but I actually do something to help. (ie my clinic full of medicaid and writing off bills instead of sending it to collections, but I can only do that so much because my nurse likes eating, the receptionist has a family, there's supplies, insurance, overhead.... if I give too much, my clinic folds and then what help am I)

    Good luck to you and your sweet pup. I, unfortunately (by my thinking), know far too many that would look at the financial aspect of the options. $5000 v. $200. That is a bit of money. But, I'm glad that you have the resources and compassion to help the poor beastie. She might not understand the "value" of your sacrifice.... but I'm sure she values your love.

    Aren't you living in Tornado Alley? Most of the time, I try to go out and look where the excitement is coming from... foolish I know, but nature looks SO COOL! (and besides, that way I might get to meet the Wizard in Oz. Or Elphaba)

    He would DEFINITELY be paying for a removal and coverup. Not doing it himself. No way in hell that I would trust him, but he would be paying for it. Beyond that, I know what I would like to do.... but I would control that desire.
