Ya know.... endorphins help with the cramping and headaches, so you could be a nice boy and help her out. I'm thinking that if she's grumpy, it's cuz you're not giving it up. oh and compliments and cuddles help with the moodiness if that was your next excuse for not performing your manly duties

Hey, come on.... it's those "less than tasteful" transfers that pay the bills!
-
I should start up there... but I don't know the area well enough to know where to go. Where would you go?
-
ok.... confession time. When I first read this thread, I read it as "Mormons are taking over the world" and I had to think REALLY hard to try to see how that link had ANYTHING to do with Utah or John Smith or ...... then I looked at the title again and it hit me. But hey, at least I'm taking over the world!

Is it truly "stupid" though to just trust that someone is being honest and credible with his answers? Although I would have a level of doubt and jadedness when it comes to issues of "pickup lines," I think it would be better to be able take a person at his/her word.

(unfortunately, it was there WELL before you "discovered "it)

I'm still claiming that it was because of the sparklers that I set off the detection monitors. I would never touch gun powder. But it did concern the TSA screening lady.

Truer words......

Just registered for my first Half-Ironman Triathlon...

WOW! If I quit breaking stuff, I would like to do some of the cool things that you have on the list! Good Luck! -
Why those cities? Cuz most of those that I listed, I either have family or friends. Why have fun all alone? (and yes, I know Kansas City has some nice attractions.... but it's not really known for much besides the Jazz district and being The Cowtown. I've been 10yrs)

Nope. just thinking "what if" Tell me where YOU would go.

I know that not all guys are just looking to lie to convince someone to sleep with them. . . but I was just countering the question about females being gullible.
-
It doesn't work on everyone.... in fact sometimes it's just as humorous as a female to counter those advances. When friend and I were getting hit on by some guys like that, she just got real close to one and with her hand gently on his chest, looked into his eyes and asked "Are you an Astronaut too?" Then to get my guy to leave, I told him that my husband was an International Arms Dealer. He thought I was just playing his game, to which I countered.... "CZ-USA is a Czech Republic Firearms company..... like the CZ75 and the skorpion." They left us alone.

I was thinking... if you had a few months off and wanted to tour the US, where would you go? What would be on the MUST SEE list? (now don't JUST include dropzones, although they can be on the itinerary, include other cool things that you have/wish to do or see as well.) My journey: Start in LA (including, of course a "HELLO!" to LisaH and VanillaSkyGirl.) And what good would it be to visit that close and not go to S'nore ("HI, MEL!!!!!") and the Perris Tunnel. Over to Vegas for a bit of gambling (but it's bright and gaudy so not too much). And of course a jump or two here at Vegas Extreme ("Hi Eddie!"). Then a look at some of the beautiful National Parks. (use this map to orient) - Grand Canyon, up to Yellowstone, Devils Tower (do some rock climbing), Deadwood (real gambling)/Sturgis (real bikes)/Black Hills(real beauty). Over to Wisconsin (Hi Mom) including a visit to American Players Theater for a story by the Bard in the woods of Spring Green and stop at The Safe House in Milwaukee. (click on the door to access that website) Then starts a journey south via St. Louis with Cahokia, hope over to Kansas City (why? I wish I could come up with a GREAT reason to visit KC.... but.....) and then down to Dallas, Texas to play at TacPro and MotorSport Ranch Over to New Orleans. (LOTS OF FUN TO BE HAD THERE!!) And over to Florida: Deland/ Kennedy Space Center/ ZHlls/ Epcot/ Everglades - but NO petting the crocagators!!!! (so many people to say "Hi" to in Florida.... cuz that's where all the smart ones are staying, aint that right Mike?) Journey north starts through Georgia, visiting Callaway Gardens and The Farm. Then up to Smoky Mountains and over to Ft Bragg - Raeford and the tail of the dragon and of course the new Paraclete Wind Tunnel. Continuing north to Washington DC to see the monuments and museums (esp the Smithsonian), Philadelphia (over to visit a dear friend and say "Hi, MomRaff"), New York City (the Statue, The City, The Shows, Central Park.... and Peter!!), Boston What trips would you make?

Ya'know.... when they have it correct on the first draft, why to they even bother trying to modify it?!

I love the Onion. But is anything in the Onion really serious enough to be in SC?!

Look here for some easy reading on brushing up. (Not saying you're a dummy, but it's much nicer to breeze through than a thick and heavy text

ok... I couldn't avoid the traumatic memories of Organic Chem, so I might as well dance with the monsters. Glucose is an aldehyde with a link to what I'm guessing is wiki page you were talking about (looking at this diagram, the double bond to the oxygen is at the top) H O . C H C OH H C OH HO C H H C OH . CH2OH What's confusing you might be how they have depicted the molecule. There are open-chain (acyclic) and ring (cyclic) forms, the latter being the result of a covalent bond between the aldehyde C atom and the C-5 hydroxyl group to form a six-membered cyclic hemiacetal. Then we would also discuss whether it's in chair or boat and stereoisomers.... but if you want to discuss gluconeogenesis, I will have to start barking at the moon.
-
H- C- OH would not be a stable molecule. Carbon likes 4 bonds.... like methanol (CH3OH) Methanal (aka Formaldehyde, CH2O) is formed by oxidising methanol - but there is a double bond with the O and two single bonds with the H, satisfying the 4 bonds to carbon. [putting hands over ears.... rocking.... chanting "I can't hear you. I can't hear you."]

I'm up north of KC... but since I'm not even weight bearing yet. I can't be of too much help. I really am sorry.
-
WOW. Sad and shocking recoding. Per the audio these were militia volunteers. (Athough the audio keeps mentioning 4 persons, there was actually a fifth walking up to the site that I believe had to have been killed too) Final audio states 2 KIA and 3 survived? Hard to believe that. I wonder if they are encouraged or discouraged to mess with unexploded ordnance?!

Thank you, I was getting cold This link

There is an associated link that breaks down what he did and why it likely worked to persuade the guy to give him his wallet..... WAIT A MINUTE! WHY AM I TAKING OFF MY SHIRT?!

Actually I have been on some of the reservations. There weren't any in Wisconsin where I was raised. . . . but when I was a Big Sister, I had the opportunity to visit Pine Ridge in South Dakota. This was a change from the middle class (even lower middle class) environment that I was used to. It is an "American Culture." But not "The" American culture that is shown in all the movies and stereotypes. edit to add: To keep it more topic related: Healthcare on the reservations is HORRIBLE by "modern medicine" standards. Limited ob care and high risk patients (lots of problems with gestational diabetes).... but that is more a cultural belief issue than an availability issue. Their beliefs are that being pregnant does not equate to being sick... they go to the doctor when they are sick. So no prenatal care is the normal. So.... if that what some of the others meant by American Healthcare... I would argue "HOW CULTURALLY INSENSITIVE!"
