Well according to that article, when assessing your pain, I should take into consideration your annual salary and level of education.... as opposed to the actual REASON for the pain (and wasn't there a whole thread with images to help you with your recurrent stiffness issues )

Yes. Does the MCAT adequately predict success as a physician or even success with completing medical school? Was Organic Chem truly necessary to understand pharmacology? Is Calculus really helping me with delivering babies? "Lowering standards" or changing entry requirements might not change physician standards at all. But would change the "passion," the need for "GOT TO WANT IT" that you have to have now to make it though..... and what would losing that do to the physician work ethic?

Nope. Storm was African (not African American, truly from Africa.) Jubie is Chinese. Sunspot was Brazilian. Warlock was AI. And the Silver Surfer was from Outerspace. Most of those characters did not appear until the late 70-80s. the original super heros are from WWII (and post) to the early 60s. Whites only was pretty much the norm for positive pulp literature back then You do know that this isn't Speakers Corner.... right? you initiated the topic. i merely pointed a a valid reason for why they might choose to NOT stick stricly to the original character lines The characters are already created. Mucking about with them is NOT necessary.

Kick Ass Movie! With respect to these Marvel movies, some points though: 1. Nick Fury is Caucasion 2. Wolvie is Canadian -makes me wonder what's next.... Cap'n America as a Mexican?!

Since we have a diverse population on this site... and many that do make lower incomes.... and many that do things to "cause" pain. What do you think about this article?

Are There Too Many Women Doctors? What poor journalism. Quoting statistics but not linking or referencing sources. Finding an "enemy" to a problem rather than a solution. Instead of talking about empowering more people to pursue medicine as a career or discussing the medical-legal climate driving many away or bringing up the increasing costs of medical school compared to the decreasing reimbursements from medicare/medicaid. Lets just say that it's the fault of Women Physicians that there are fewer doctors available. And the outright LIES! I KNOW that I see more than some of my male partners, and I've only been with this group for a year and a half. But... it does say that I was "willing to take on lower-paying specialties."

Psychology (especially abnormal psychology mixed with alcohol) is a scary thing. I find the mind complex, confusing and even a bit terrifying. To decide to kill (viciously and completely with intent) because someone complained about you peeing in public. What is he thinking?! Can we ever really know/understand? Why are some people hot with loose wiring? Others dependent sheep that conform to society and expect others to comply? Still others apathetic and indifferent? Some are loners; others require company. Some happy; some sad. Some are "kind"; others "mean" Some fight.... some die. I hate psychology

Rules: 1. Must be "called" with all occupants present. 2. Must be "called" while outside on the way to the car 3. Only applies for that specific trip. (cannot call shotgun for "infinity") 4. If the owner of vehicle is not driving, he/she gets automatic first refusal of shotgun privileges. 5. Shotgun is responsible for nav., climate control and audio settings. 6. Shotgun is not allowed to fall asleep (unless the driver gets sick of the babble and wants him/her to be quiet)

Congratulations!!!! The medical field can be SO MUCH fun... and so much pain. Enjoy the rush of helping others when the need it most!! But don't internalize the bad times. rules to try to follow 1. Bring them in alive (much prefered) 2. Deliver them to me undelivered (talking pregnant ladies here) 3. If delivered, see rule 1. Umm.... yeah. That's about it
