I gots me one too!!! Nightster 1200 2008. I won't actually have her for a week though... cuz they have to bring it over from either St. Louis or Colorado. But I've waited this long for a Harley, what's a week?

Why is it that you just can't seem to trust service types? I took my lil Tiburon in today for some noises that she makes on right hand turns (probably brakes for the rubbing or CV with the clicking part or something). "We heard the noise but we don't know what it is. We're checking into it. Oh and we cant do an alignment because the tires are way out from not being rotated." Ummmm.... I take it there for tire rotatios. "We only have it in the records that you've come in twice for tire rotations." She only has 25k miles on her. "You should be getting it every 7.5k miles" Ok... so I'm only 2.5k over. Shouldn't be THAT big of a problem. "We recommend buying a new set of tires" WTF! "And your steering wheel is off." Makes me wonder if they're going to bill me for prop wash and flight line or whatever the automotive version of that would be. -
No she's younger than us. I never would have guessed that you're older than me, lilDevil! For some reason, I thought you were in your 20's! But... yup... I'm getting {{shudder}} older. Next year is my 20 year class reunion!! So... tell me lilDevil. Who will you be in the next two decades?

HEY!!! I write checks for groceries. I'm not slow. I just don't think its a wise idea to put perishables on credit. (and I don't like carrying my debit card cuz I like writing in withdrawals to make sure that I don't overdraw)

Got a birthday coming up... made me think. "DAMN! The last 20 years have FLOWN by.... college, military, med school, residency, practice....." Just wondering if the next two decades will be as much as an adventure. I'm trying to remember my dreams when I finished High School. . . still not an astronaut yet... but I guess I can work that in. What long term goals do people have to keep themselves challenged? My goals: 1. Genetics 2. REMOTE medical mission (like a really cool place that you have to jump into) 3. Parties with friends

Walk. Don't drive to the grocery store which is only half a mile away (HALF A MILE!!!! I can't walk that! AND CARRY GROCERIES!) Keep things local. Even if it means spending $5 dollars more to buy locally instead of driving all around town and using half a tank of gas to find the "best deal" Drive the speed limit (I honestly shudder at that... cuz it just hurts so much!!!) We honestly just have to suck it up, put on a big boy/girl panties and do the right things by quit being wasteful.

So, you're just going to be nice so you can use us? Growing up.... my mom always said "Now, Karen. Be NICE." But she never said why..... so the why was always mine to decide. (generally it's cuz it's the right thing to do... but a good pr manager would argue that it's also cuz your words can AND WILL be used against you even if you "might" be "right".... you still might be wrong.)

Yup... that's how you feel after that test. I took the Nursing Exam in 1993 (yes... I might have taken it a few years back... ) You leave feeling dazed and confused. But... I'm sure you did fine. Just wait for the results and the PARTY!

I discussed this a little with my stepson (BOY!!! was that an.... interesting conversation). I didn't pretend to be so foolish to assume that he wasn't already or hadn't already been involved. I didn't even want to ask or imply that he should be a virgin. We just talked about RELATIONSHIPS. Discussed respect for the women that he dates. I mentioned sexually transmitted disease prevention... but he didn't want to talk about THAT!!!

Of the main "medical terms" that it mentioned - I've heard of: "Peek and Shriek" when we were doing surgery on someone that had markedly advanced ovarian cancer.... that disease gets to a point where you can't remove it all and if you try, you know you will be injuring the bowel... so you typically just close back up. Slow Code - but never did a slow code.... just read about it in "House of God" Never heard of that variation for OB/Gyn. Acronyms also use but not on that list include: GOMER - Get Out of My ER more

I am really sorry that you are now in this situation of potentially losing that friendship over a lawsuit and lack of personal responsibility. The parents WERE there. The likely knew she was climbing up to the tree house. I doubt they thought there was a quick inflate poofy mattress on the ground underneath her. She fell. It was an accident. It happened to be in your backyard... but she fell under the supervision of her parents. Could have happened at her house, at the park down the street, at Walmart.... but since it happened at your house.... you're at risk to be sued. The legal system over here HAS to change! -

When I was growing up, I thought I would want at least three children. (Even have their names.) But.... now, at mid 30's with not a one... The "why"? is a question that I get occasionally. If I wanted to look medically, I could look at the inversion of the 9th chromosome and blame that on my subfertility. I could look for blame and say that it's cuz he already had his son when I met him. (and of all of his four "parents".... I seemed to be the only one to but the effort into his future... and sometimes when asked "why?" I state that I did have one, I just didn't carry him inside for 9mos) I could look at my life/career to this point and realize that I honestly didn't have the time that I would devote to new life. Or.... I just smile and say "Que Sera Sera"
