Seriously?! Not to downplay the knowledge or skills of the EMS, cuz sometimes the can be better than the docs..... but seriously, your comment is foolish. Even an EMT-P is under two years. So... you're saying that if you have to go back for the two years, you might as well be in for 11-13 years (the 4yrs for an undergrad, the 4yrs for med school and the 3-5yrs for residency.)

Chris, You've not only tried the traditional recommendations, you've gotten second opinions. You went to the "experts." You've tried non-western medicine methods. You are just trying to make EVERY effort to learn and cope with your pain. That's not asking for pity. You asked for WISDOM! You're trying to look outside the box. I wish that I could help you. But... as an ob-gyn, my pain management techniques deal with a very different pain (and one with a VERY different outcome... it's amazing what you will cope with when the outcome is a new cherished life....) My advice though: KEEP ASKING! Ask your doctors. Ask your friends. Ask anyone, cuz someone might have the answer that works. It doesn't hurt to ask.

It does sound like less than stellar service. However, in this restaurant, is the tip divided between multiple staff members (waitstaff, bus service, kitchen service) and did your lack of tip "punish" them as much as her for her poor timing on the break. Also... I would be MOST annoyed with the management. Not the waitress. He/She should have taken the time to make the customer happy and THEN deal with employee issues at a later time. (just curious.... was it in KC? and where?)

Sorry that I'm late! Happy belated Birthday!!! I hope it was a GREAT day and that you enjoyed time with your "finds"! May this year be healthy and .... memorable. I wish you well.

Christoph You do know that I can't make you happy. She can't make you feel unhappy. This is ALL ABOUT YOU. You need to make yourself feel good with who YOU are. You need to make this VERY SHORT life worth something to YOU. I know it's hard after a breakup... "what did I do" and "I don't understand" are VERY common statements. But, what if you didn't do anything wrong and what if the only thing to understand is that she's not "the one." Time will give you the answers... until then, go make some jumps or relax or even as squeak said "HDFU" (but DON'T get jaded and bitter)

Medical ethics state that you can mention generalities, but no identifying characteristics. No names, date of birth, social. . . nothing that can tie back to a "real" identity. Some could argue (and do) that a "good doctor" won't mention anything about work. Part of me wishes that I could agree with that... but I don't. Doctors are people too and some do want to share their stories - look at all the doctor shows (ER, Greys Anatomy, Scrubs, House), the medical novels (House of God, better, Body of Work, Doc, How Doctors think), and even medical jokes out there. We do share our lives with others.... but not at the sacrifice of a person. So we protect that individual (or should) That's what HIPPAA is all about. Protecting patient privacy. For example: Everyone knows about the ER doctor talking about the patient that came in with the light bulb up his/her ass... but hopefully you wouldn't know it was Mary Jane... you know ... that 19year old down the street... the one that had chlamydia - then it becomes gossiping about a person.

I know it's toursity.... but I LOVE Epcots fireworks! Last time I saw them, it was raining, so I was looking up watching the bursts and feeling the impacts on my face! It felt AMAZING! (but then again, I really like Epcot... and really like fireworks.... OOOOOHHHHHHH and if you do do Epcot, make sure that you get the fast pass and do Soarin!!!!!) -one thing NOT to do.... a tour of Zephyr Hills OR. It was ok... but not something that I would recommend for a vacation.

Demerol is your friend. Nah... Demerol sucks. Nasty nausea... the active metabolites last too long. VERSED! Cuz the amnesic effect helps with not just the pain... but the MEMORY of the pain as well!

Nope.... we have learned that. -and when you "get" my humor, it makes it harder to maintain my personal issues of annoyance. Lets keep the debates to medicine where I can maintain my righteous indignation (I am just kidding.... m'kay? )
