Chicks Rock Boogie - Skydive Elsinore - October 2-5 2008
kbordson replied to NWFlyer's topic in Events & Places to Jump
after the call schedule came out today, I was ALL EXCITED and gonna get tickets.... then I was told that there was a company party on Sunday... one to celebrate a new doc with the group, one doc leaving and me "passing" my boards (besides the fact that I don't take them til November).... but I was kinda told that I should be there. *sigh* when is Chicks Rock '09? -
Have a GREAT day! I hope this coming year brings you health, happiness and adventure.

There sometimes is no answer to the "why?!" Just treat all friends as if it might be the last time you get to see them. (NOTE: that does not mean that the next time one of your mates goes to the store to get some beer that you should hug him and state "I LOVE YOU MAN!!". . . . your friends might get a little scared of you with that, m'kay?)

Oh... come on. You know that you're just beefin up the story.

Would you eat ice cream made from human milk?
kbordson replied to ladyskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
I don't think that humans are evolved to be vegetarians, if you do... or if you even believe / don't bielve in evolution, that is your choice. But you shouldn't belittle others opinions just cuz they don't agree with your BELIEFS My personal beliefs Are we, as a population, getting lazy with healthy diet? Yes. Should we examine our current lifestyles and consider areas for change? Of course. Are there benefits to a low fat diet? yes. To we tend to eat too much red meat? yup. But to believe that red meat is what will KILL all of the evil meat eaters is foolish. One of my close friends was a vegetarian.... he died of bladder cancer in his early 50's? Should I blame his diet? Maybe ... but it might be environmental or genetic or just bad luck for a mutation on a single cell. I think you weaken your statements by throwing out the "colon will kill you" card. Are there advantages to the vegetarian diet? ABSOLUTELY! Vegetarian diets: what are the advantages? Are there DISadvantages? ABSOLUTELY! cobalamin deficiency B-vitamin status and concentrations of homocysteine in Austrian omnivores, vegetarians and vegans. - NOTE the well-planned vegan diet comment in that conclusion. Even the enlightened vegetarians can get lazy and be ignorant of what they NEED to survive. I don't think this argument is one that -you will convince others to see your side -others will convince you to see theirs But... better knowing WHY you believe something and being able to defend that belief in an argument will help with convincing others to examine their personal beliefs. -personally. . . . I'm going to keep eating meat. Especially, with donating every 8weeks, I need the red meat to keep from being too anemic. I do the apricots, raisins, red beans... but still can't bring my hemoglobin up to the threshold without red meat or iron supplimentation. Could I space out the donations.... yes, but that wouldn't be helping as many PEOPLE.... I want blood to be in the blood bank when I order it. If that means killing a cow and having a nice delmonico steak.... yum. If some people think that I'm evil for that belief, I can't change that. But... neither will my beliefs be changed by poor logic. -
I think I like the second version of that song better. vagina vagina....E=mc vagina....

OK, guys. Help me out here. Why is that such a bad comment? She's being open and honest with her current status, but yet still giving a compliment. Other than offering the BJ as the consolation, what would have been a "better" comment?

So im sitting here thinking about the economic crisis
kbordson replied to FallloutboyDAoC's topic in The Bonfire
There's a lot of speculation on what is ahead with the economy. We should ask those that were jumpin in the depression. Airtwardo, care to give an opinion? -
If you get a chance, stop in Banff! It's BEAUTIFUL!

What is really funny is that I asked how much a First date/ Night out typically costs and even stipulated that I knew it doesn’t have to cost anything and generally creative dates are better anyway... Yet look at how many people took it otherwise. A Girl gets asked out for a dinner date, She should at least expect a sit down restaurant or a creative substitute. Anything less shows a lack of respect in my opinion. well... as a girl, I honestly haven't been asked out all that often (might have something to do with being married ) but to answer the "what would I expect?" the privilege of getting to know someone; a new friend, a colleague, a scary but amusing tale to tell.
-
OK... some of these responses are funny (funny strange, not funny ha ha) Seriously. Do some of you expect to pay $500 for a date!? That's .... wow. There shouldn't be a monetary value set to getting to know someone. And there shouldn't be expectations for how "she's gonna cost" or "he's gonna spend on me" (or vice versa)
-
I was going to bump this so thanks for saving me the work with that... I just wanna get off work so I can stop thinking them and act on them So, you're saying that you want to get off so you can get off?
