Not true. (Now will begin a stomping little rant - but you should have been expecting it....) I think you need to take a poll of the medical community (establishment?!) before you try to bias the general population against them by broadcasting what they hate or not. The internet can be a wonderful source of info (like lindsey said)... but the problem is that it can have misinformation as well and when people come in with attitudes that just cuz they "read it on the internet" it must be true or have suspicion toward the doctor who might want to truly educate without speaking "medicalese" as if he/she is just trying to "gloss over" the info, it does get frustrating. I have had women tell me that despite the distended belly that has kicks, they can NOT be pregnant because they used the coke douche or the guy that thought that if his girlfriend didn't cum, she couldn't get pregnant (nice partner, huh?). But his logic was that the "juices never mixed" and so no pregnancy. Trust me.... the misinformation is out there!! Additionally, an adversarial attitude is not conducive to a good relationship with your doctor. And that tone might be what would shut down the teaching that they should be doing during the visit.... (or the HMO requirements of so many patients/hour) I'm not saying that doctors are saints and care about every single patient as if she is his/her own mom... and I might be overly idealistic, but most go into the field to help people.... (except House MD... I love that show.... he gets to say what is sometimes thought....) Anyway... end little rant now. Karen p.s. arlo - good information!

Cuz although the guys might argue it.... most wouldn't really notice the difference. And, with healing, there can be scarring, fistula formation (connections between bladder and vaginia or colon and vaginia), disruption of innervation (less sensation for her), dyparunia (fancy word for pain with intercourse... a BAD thing!!) More risks than benefits, just to be "tighter".... IMHO. Now if it's for prolapse, incontence, or the "indicated" reasons - then it might be worth the risks Karen

As a birthday gift, I wish for you all the love, friendship and challenges necessary to make this year both wonderful and meaningful. May you be blanketed in comfort yet not smothered, stifled or bored by it. May you enjoy the most simple breath and the most complex of thoughts. May this year bring you life. Happy Birthday!! Karen

I'm not exactly sure about the "Vagina Institute", but yes, Viginia, there is a such thing as reconstructive surgery for "down there." Many reasons to need it - pregnancy and childbirth being the main culprit, but sometimes just bad tissue/support and things just kinda collapse and fall. (if you really want to know more - google complete uterine prolapse). There are different types of repair, some natural, some with mesh for support..... all depends on what is needed. And some just want a change in caliber.... although that is not a recommended procedure.

As mentioned in my earlier post - I believe in true love Totally agree with RMH.... he's out there. And in time, hopefully antifnsocial will find him. I usta be one to give it lip service... "True Love".... Fairy taie beliefs, oh yeah - it exists, blah blah blah. Until it really hit me (and then you know that whatever you were feeling before is nothing in comparision) I don't know if it's phermones, spiritual, true anam cara, or what... but when the connection is made, it is truly like no other relationship. Those stupid sappy movies (City of Angels, Meet Joe Black, Jerry McQuire.... ) make more sense. And you realize that it's bigger than you... whatever time you get with him is worth giving it all up for- and it's not a pathologic diagnosis sort of thing... it's a realization that the connection is more important than the petty things of everyday life. That despite leaving the toilet seat up or not putting the dirty clothes in the hamper or whatever little battles, that the RELATIONSHIP goes way beyond the daily things, even way beyond life as we might understand it.... But then this thread was started to ask the guys, and although several had made comments about long term relationships and successful marraiges - it doesn't really answer the question on TRUE LOVE.... do you feel this too? Or is it just some estrogen associated state of psychosis?

You say that... but yet it's the girls with the big honkin rack get all the attention while the rest just have to work for their lovin.... So if nature wasn't as kind as it could have been, one option to impress youses is goin under the knife. (maybe not the best option... not one I'm running out to sign up for, but if I was less secure and worried more about why more boys aren't throwing themselves at my feet.... I might consider it) Just callin "BS" on the real replies.... cuz you know that you've looked at fake ones and thought.... ohhh, baby. Karen

Ooohhhhh!! If you have a glock there, you can just use the tupperware that came in!!!!

Yeah... it's easy to blame the manufacturer.... all their fault. They are just looking for the bottom line. They don't care about the patient.... Come on. Get real. We, as a society in the US, have come to a point that we tend to expect WAY too much. Yes, it's a burden to have to go back to surgery.... the risks associated with that, the impact that it has on life, but the alternative is? Not doing it. Prior to any surgery, you should get counseled on the risks, benefits and alternatives of the procedure. Risks include device failure, recall, risk of re-operation, risk of surgical complications..... for a benefit of living longer or having the reassurance of the device to restart your heart if it stops..... the alternatives? - not doing the surgery is one of them. With that comes the risk of natural course of what ever disease you might have. But we tend to think of that as not an option anymore... even though 250 years ago that was the ONLY option. Medicine has made such stides in the past centuries that we now take it for granted and assume that everything has to go perfect or else it has to be someones fault. But think back Anesthesia was just discovered in 1846 XRays in 1890's Penicillin in 1928 and prior to Pasteur, Semmelweis, and Lister to try to keep things clean.... medicine was just as dangerous as skydiving (not to start a debate on if skydiving is dangerous) Implantable defibrillators are as young as 1980's These are relatively new advances that everyone just assumes as a part of "modern medicine" So now, we have an average life span in the 70's, we can cure many types of cancers, we can break many (sometimes too many) bones and still life a normal life. And we expect that some pill will fix this or a surgery will correct that. So with that complacent attitude, people then eat at Mickey D's (just tuck that lipitor right in the Big Mac) and sit on their duff and watch Oprah with disgust about how it's so horrid to have to endure this that or the other. But just remember..... doctors just practice. Not always getting it right, and even the best medical knowlege might be wrong. Even the "perfect pill" or device might be snake oil or recalled. Who knows.... Leeches might be the real answer (or not....) I sometimes wish that I could see where we'll be in another 250 years.... anyway... I was just annoyed by the automatic attitudes against the manufacturers and the medical community. But being in the field, I am biased.... (enough venting now.... carry on) Karen

I'm with DeN on this one...that is surgery... worse then it actually. What technique would be best for the excising of the ex? Laser, cautery or blade? and I hope that the sleep was restful.... the body needs it to heal. Karen

Zip lock bag in the fridge actually. You can bill for that. The CPT code would be 88125. Just find out which ever girl would be recieving said sample and bill her insurance company. (Money making schemes while in country)

But I couldn't believe the scene where they put the cute little duckie down on the pond.... I remember thinking "OMG!! They didn't just do that!!!!" Overall... a GREAT movie. The penguins were the BEST! Edit to add: And the MONKEYS!!!

Genius in a "he's still not going to be getting any" sort of way. Unless, that is, she has a wonderful sense of irony and can laugh at his wit.
-
Ummm.... not long. Just another 9-10 months. Long enough to have sex, get pregnant, have the baby and take the whole family to spring break. New on Fox... Families gone wild.

The way you say that... it sounds like a bad thing.... Say it again.

No it's not wrong. Your goldfish is just being selfish. You should judge him on that and realize that he isn't worth it. Tell him how horrible he is and punish him by leaving him in the fishbowl. He'll learn from that. Bad Goldfish Karen

Well Duhhhhhh. Better living through chemistry! Thats why I take it or Levaquin when I go on medical missions. I would hate not being able to eat the local food. Living safe?! Who wants to do that?! editted to add Disclosure Information: I have no significant finicial interest or other relationship with Bayer or Ortho McNeil. Thank you. WHERE you live is not as important as HOW you live.... I believe whether you truly enjoy a place has more to do with you than the place. Now granted, there are some places that wouldn't seem so very nice to live, but I've seen plenty of grumbling middle class peoples and just as many happy dirt poor Peruvians or Guatemalans. It's not the location or the size of the real estate.... It's your feel of the land and the psyche of the people around you. just my 0.02 Karen

I think it's kinda neat that he jumps. It adds some character and reality to the fake personality that the press/media seem to give movie peoples. It can be too easy to believe that someone is just a "whack-job" religious type or that another is just a "empty headed" twit... now granted, some of them are just empty headed twits. But the press can definately spin it one way or the other. I think it would be hard being in that kind of spotlight.... but I've always perfered to kinda sit back and watch the dramas instead of getting involved in all the details. I kinda admire that he would still try to escape the confinement of the Hollywood stereotype.... But then again, I think he's about as hot as they can come..... so I might be a bit biased. (and no... I am not secretly anyone important, so don't even go bribin the mods... they aint gonna tell you nuttin) Karen
