so the point of the whole movie is: Take your antibiotics before invading other planets. (hmmm.... didn't we kind of get the same message from Matrix. Except that was viruses) Karen

PSA (prostate specific antigen) tests just take all the fun out of that exam.....

It didnt say anything about cuddling... how about some aspirin? Aspirin is some cool stuffs.... nature is way cool. But back to your tread.... how about you call Keith in the VA hopital..... pm me for his room number
-
HEY... all y'all in that Florida region. If you ain't over in Lake Wales jumping (and it sounds like the weather isn't really good there anyway)... go up an visit that Kramer guy. He's in the VA this time so that means good care, but not so many of the cute nurses to entertain him. So go see him. Tell him that Karen sent you and he'll give you 50% off on the tour of his hopital room. Karen

He said his doc was a female.... so what would he be holding in his hands? Not that girls can't have "figurative" balls... just that ummm.... phenotypically, she shouldn't. Karen

Kramer got out of the hospital on Tues. (those ortho guys are quick on the kick ya out the door part of that). He's stayin wiht his mom at first until he can be a bit more independant. I told him that he now has time to relax, kick back and do some recovering.... and spending time on DZ.com.... but he broke his laptop!!!! So no internet access.... how horrid, I know. But he sounded to be in good spirits and hopefully time will put things right. Just a bad, turn of fate. p.s. I did go visit him with BRaff and Ron.... and I might like my rum (maybe not technically a "boozehag") but no servicing goin on there. Karen

As one of those vile doctors above, I do encourage the vaccines. ESPECIALLY the rubella. Congenital rubella is a preventable disease and if your child contracts the disease, the risk isn't just to hiim/her, but also to any pregnant person that your child is exposed to and then THAT unborn child. Do vaccines cause autism? Lots of debates. Not really a lot of good scientific data. A lot of opinion, but obviously no randomized studies (duh!) Just research it and decide for yourself. But use real sources, not just random internet sites. Pub med will do searches, or look on web md. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?CMD=search&DB=pubmed Yes there are risks to vaccines, to meds, to formula, to which diapers to use, to blah blah blah.... As a parent, it's your job to educate yourself on those and decide what's best for your child. if you decide not to vaccinate - then accept the consequences if your 22 year old child needs a liver transplant cuz of HepB contracted by sexual transmission.... Vaccines are like insurance... you may never need them, but how many people had to die from smallpox, tetnus, polio, ect... before we learned the value. anyway, just my 0.02. Make you decision based on knowledge (real knowledge) not fear. Karen

What I did when my male cat went through that pattern when he was young (many many years ago), is when he nipped I would quickly grab his nose (?muzzle?), hold it firmly and say NO. Staring him down. He would try to back up and I would hold it for just a touch longer making him understand that I was in charge.... I think it worked but maybe I'm biased cuz I'm just that kinda of a girl... Karen

Anybody know when the ortho-trons might ve releasing him? Or any further updates? And if anyone goes to visit him... send him hugs (but not big ones that might hurt him.)

Just in case you didn't know how it works (NSFW)
kbordson replied to kansasskydiver's topic in The Bonfire
So that's how all that works?! who'da thunk it. (btw, I was amused by the facial images of the girl douching!!!) -
Feeling it?!! HELL NO! Not today. the only "love" I felt was the kind of billybob, no vaseline, fuck you kind of reaming.... not that I had a bad day or anything..... just breathe..... (and growl!!!!) (and try not to picture the attendings (senior level doctors) at 600yds.... slow breath in, then out... slight pressure.... ) but had a good supper waiting at home - which is good since no lunch.

I would never get mine removed or be ashamed of it. I have, on occasion, worn dark nylons to cover it.... not out of shame, but because I sometimes get tired of sharing my life with everyone that sees it and thinks its just a cool decoration. I think that ink should mean something. Not just cuz ""hell, nothing else to do with that patch of skin." But.... each person has their own stories and that's for them to decide. Karen

You're Baaaaaaaaaad. (oh wait, there are no sheep over there - unless you brought them with the vaseline)

Lupus is a bad disease. One that is often misdiagnosised. It presents in many varied ways and sometimes waxes and wanes.... My stepdad has it and it's taking his mind. I'm sorry that you have to deal with the impacts with your wife. And it's disappointing to hear you were given a difficult time with the medical care that you and her have received. But.... if you do "real" research then the doctors should appreciate it. By real research, I mean doing a pubmed search www.pubmed.com and finding answers to questions specific to your condition or current studies showing new techiques for dealing with the disease. But don't just go to any website and take the answers as fact (a good hint is that if it has a popup or a link to some miracle pill.... then take it with a grain of salt) Sometimes people are too willing to believe what they want to hear which means that even if it's misinformation they will cling fast to it. But.... that all being said - You shouldn't have been told not to read up on things.... that I find odd for someone to have told you. (not that they didn't.... just an odd thing for them to say) Anyway.... I wish you and her well. (and keep doing the pubmed searched, cuz someday we might have better meds or cures for lupus. Autoimmune disease suck) Karen

What? You don't have an Osco right down the road? But lucky you to have coincidentally remembered your vaseline. Karen

Aloe vera is your new bestest friend!! (feels good and it makes the char smell of the sunburn skin better)

Am I the only one that thinks the new one is ass-ugly compared to the '89 Batmobile? But it's ugly in a cute A10 sort of way.... (the old batmobile was sexy in a SR 71 sort of way... each has their place) edit cuz I cant sepll
-
It was a very enjoyable movie for a DC comic book. And I have to agree - the batmobile kicked ass. I also liked it when he was giving excuses for wanting the equiptment - spelunking, base jumping..... Just wish it had stronger female roles than the always needing to be saved types. Karen

That would be sooooo cool! (the 24hrs of sunlight thing.... not that there's anything wrong with the naked skydiving, just haven't done it yet. And it's even a full moon coming up - naked night jumps?)
-
ssshhhhhhh..... be vewy vewy quiet.......... it's turtle season. (ok, maybe not, but it was fun to say)
-
Why is the turtlespeed hiding being a skirt to make said comments?

Silly.... there can't be pictures. It never happened... If we shadows have offended, Think but this, and all is mended: That you have but slumbered here, While these visions did appear; And this weak and idle theme, No more yielding but a dream, Gentles, do not reprehend. If you pardon, we will mend. Just a midsummers night dream.....

It's the eve of the summer solstice!!! Everyone go outside and dance naked! go on..... you know you want to!! Karen

Teen is accused of raping neighbor's dog AND
kbordson replied to jlmiracle's topic in Speakers Corner
Just have to say that I, like several others in this thread, am DISGUSTED by the way that the dog seems to be more important than a 3yo and a 13 yo girls!! I might not have all the facts, but the way the story is written, seems to dismiss the importance of the real story. Don't misunderstand, cruelty to animals shows a level of depravity... but a 3yo girl.... I think whoever the author of the article, and the editor of the paper, are idiots. -
Sorry for your loss, I hope that you and he had the chance to enjoy the three years that he had after the transplant. May you have lots of support during this time. Karen
