I would do a sh*t load of research on study protocols. I would know what my CT/PET scans showed. I would compare on a PERSONAL level what the quality of life was BEFORE the first round... and then now... and anticipated crappiness with the new. I would try to weigh my ability to deal with the meds vs. my curiosity and desire to try to fight it/ to add to the research for future patients. But... I would know my limits and be unapologetic when my point was hit. I would then use what time I might have left to ENJOY the experience of life ... even if it meant embracing death.

Wow! You should check your premises. You are good at rationalizing. Can you even see the contradiction in your statement? Paragraph 2: "FACT of the matter"? "probably loose your ability to control"? So in paragraph 2 - you have ONE potential "missile" (the person inside the vehicle) and you vehemently slander those potential "murders"; in paragraph 3 - there are TWO potential "missiles" (the motorcycle and the rider) But you can accept one because "I think it should be optional." If you accept the law for one, you should be willing to accept the law for the other. hmmmmm.... I didn't know if I should really post my "real" opinion to this poll in this "safety aware" population; but what the hell. Seatbelts? Always when others are in the car or if I'm a passenger. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone else or increase the pain/guilt of my friends by avoidable injuries. But... it would likely be under 25% when I'm in my car by myself... and 0% when on my bike (but I do wear my helmet all the time) Why? personal reasons (some call them "excuses") Yes, I know what I do. I would LOVE to know that as well. But... there are some benefits to making sure that it's as "perfect" as possible. Even if that means hours of extra work daily. But.... it would be nice to be willing to accept "good" - I was asked in residency "what is the enemy of 'good'?" The answer - "better." It's a daily battle to find that balance.
