Ya know.... I'm thinking "Men these days....." We, poor little women get a wee cut on the head and no-one strong enough or ambitious enough to just take care of it for us. Instead we have to go into the ER... meet all kinds of "interesting" people. Have a strange person working on our head. Wouldn't it have been better for you to work on her head... and then have her return the favor? Seriously though... hope it heals fast and glad no other injuries

I wish I could!!!!! But... I'm going to FL in a week and don't know how soon I can take another vacation. But it sounds like LOTS of fun.....

Chronic pain is hard. You feel horrible... might get treated poorly from medical peoples ("Drug seeker" type response).... no really good ways to HELP you.... sucks. Have you tried yoga or stretching? Last resort.... ask for a consult for surgery Good luck.

I know that happens a lot.......... This where one of the prolems lie. It's the ASSUMPTION that the female can't do the job. It's the belief that they CAN'T meet the requirements simply because they have two X's and are missing a penis. It's the belief of superiority that is the issue. The other issue is that to advance beyond certain ranks, it becomes almost a requirement to have certain experience. I'm not saying that women need to have a day in battle so that they can become General... but if you exclude women from combat.... could they become a General? Glass slipper equals a glass ceiling. Personal beliefs... I understand what you guys are saying and I know you want someone big in your corner in the heat of battle. But listen (no... I mean really LISTEN) to the counter arguments that are made about your assumptions.

Well... what did you expect with pushing almost TEN pounds of baby out an opening like that... I'm surprised that you are describing the labor room staff as calm as all that during what sounds like a rather significant shoulder dystocia.... I'm sure if you had taken the docs pulse during all that... it would have been impressive. Next time - don't grow them so big p.s. I was out being rather naughty last night...

I hope that's because you are just paying your dues and that will change in time. You keep telling yourself that.... but the Saturdays still need to be covered... even once you're not a resident. But, you do make more than $175 for the day.

My 22year old stepson is exactly like that. All of his friends on online, his girlfriend is online... He's worse than I am on the computer I try to kick him out of the house at least once a day.... Don't know how its going to "properly socialize" and "start a life." (and... he's one of the reasons that I've developed this annoyance to the entitled attitude that some have....)

Yeah... I looked it up. I knew what it meant. My "wtf" was about how you can just develop hate terms for people of other Nationalities. I think they have a word for people like that.... maybe .... bigot?

I just like how the internet brings different views and perceptions to the discussion table ... to break down into name calling and running away. And all because someone started with an ignorant and inflammatory comment about US systems in S.C.... imagine that! I started with just explaining how he didn't understand some of the differences... which digressed into entitled attitudes and refusal of discussion. (seppo attitude?! wtf, dude?)

So... I was told by pm that because of my views on self reliance and personal responsibiltity related to health care that I have a "fucked, selfish seppo attitude" How can you argue with logic like that?! Sounds like a very reasonable and well thought of counter to my points. I love it how people tend to think they can "KNOW" your character and personality just by the brief posts or pm. Experts they are.

True.... but many of these replies in this thread, including yours, can be taken as VERY sexist. I'm not saying that they are or aren't correct... just that those post have come off as a chest thumping defense of the last bastion of man. When such blatantly sexist posts are made, it makes me quesiton the view on "equality" that some people have.

I'm not jealous, I dont drink at all (any more), but I well matured vintage scotch should not be wasted Think he'll waste it??? I kind of had that same attitude when my Dad died with regards to his stock and my sister... so instead of her "wasting" it... me and a few of my friends enjoyed it A LOT. (Then went and saw Aladdin in the theaters... yeah, it was a couple of years ago...) True it's good to savor and enjoy precious flavors of life... but it's hard to "waste" those things as well.
