FAITH is the belief in something in the face of facts. Don't start John. We're having a nice little debate w/o you adding barbs. Just ignore it. Anyway, no one said that artificial and natural conception are the same. What was said is that NFP IS contraception. It is just more agreeable to the church. Let's break it down by comparing condoms to NFP: Accidental: condom - You can still get pregnant even if you use a condom. NFP - You can still get pregnant if you practice NFP. Purposefully: condom - want to get pregnant? Don't use a condom at that time and try to have sex at a good time in the cycle NFP - want to get pregnant? Have sex at a different point in the cycle. Take out the type of birth control and you find that they are quite similar. Both have you make a WILLFUL choice to attempt to avoid pregnancy or incur pregnancy. con·tra·cep·tion Pronunciation (kntr-spshn) n. Intentional prevention of conception or impregnation through the use of various devices, agents, drugs, sexual practices, or surgical procedures It just so happens that the church approves of it because the body goes through natural cycles. But you are still AVOIDING the times in those cycles when pregnancy has the greatest chance. Look at the word itself: contraception contra - against ception - shortened form of conception. contraception = against conception. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Absolutely true. Regardless, that boob job in the middle is just atrocious. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. -

If you're going to poke fun at me, at least do it where I can hear next time. here is the gist of what was said: "This is funny and FUN too." "micro, here is the link to the previous thread. haha" You should know by now that I have no problem making fun of you to your "face." Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. I'm a silly rabbit. And Lindercles was not playing fair when he saved the previously posted pic. But since the rules have now been thrown; Game on, beotches! Those rules have been gone for quite some time. I just checked the Interweb manual. If there is a link available, I may click it. If there is a picture posted to a public site through that link and said photo has no copyright restrictions, I may also save it. I found this on page 834, section b, part vi. The chapter is called "Shit you should already be aware of." Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

The nudity is nice. Just avoid looking at her stupid facial expressions and focus on that. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

I realize it is often dreary and cool in England (I remember seeing my breath at night in June when I went to school there) so people may not be used to the fiery orb in the sky, but this is ridiculous: http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23365310-details/Misery%20for%20commuters%20as%20bright%20sunshine%20delays%20train/article.do Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. He ruined the chances because he posted a pic that was already posted elsewhere? That is just plain silly. I am sure I will get over it though. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Most people know the photo of the ladies with Pink Floyd album covers painted on their backs. It is quite nice. Well, someone went and posted it on Fark like it was new: http://img323.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pfbackcatalogueyq4.jpg But the best part is the comments. In particular, this one: Awesome. Here is the comment link for your pleasure: http://forums.fark.com/cgi/fark/comments.pl?IDLink=2264174 Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

That's why I won't eat gelatin. Edit: Hey Rob! Your dad is cool! Go dad! Thanks.

I can understand your position. But you would probably be suprised by how much thoroughbreds actually WANT to run. It is a shame that too many people in the industry have no compassion for the animals that are their livelihood. I am just glad my dad is not one of them. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. My uncle found this story about horse abuse. My father, who trains thoroughbred, has always found good homes for his older horses. He does not sell to glue factories or meat packers. A year or so ago, my dad had the pleasure of meeting Paul Sorvino and giving him some horses. Paul and his daughter have organization that helps rescue dogs. After my dad told them about how old horses are often treated, they set up a similar organization for horses. I think it is a very cool thing they do. Even if they do call my dad's profession, "a sport of death." http://www.longislandpress.com/index.php?show=article&cp=239&a_id=9572 My dad's name is Bob Kotenko.

What? This thread is immensly boring. Just the same shit over and over. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Obviously, there is just a fundamental difference of belief between you and myself. And that is fine, but it will not really lead to anywhere new. So, I will look at this statement instead -- I am going to need to see some data that condoms have resulted in more divorce. There is are strong reasons why divorce has gone up. Here are two: 1) It has not been acceptable until relatively recently. The LACK of divorce before then is not NECESSARILY indicative of happy marriages, but instead of staying together because of the stigma of getting a divorce. 2) People get married WAY to fast. For some, it is a valid choice, but I think far too many rush into marriage with really knowing the person they are getting hitched to. I am a strong believer in marriage counseling for most couples. Even if you think you know the person, you will certainly find out alot more. In the long list of reasons for divorce, I can see very little influence of the ability to use birth control...unless we are going to try to relate condoms to adultery again. And you already know my position on that. You also have to realize that your morality is NOT everyone else's. The way you view the world and family is your choice and is perfectly valid for YOU. But you want to get rid of birth control for EVERYONE. So for people who have different views on the matter (and who will not be convinced of your view on morality no matter how much you try), you are not even giving them a CHOICE to be safe. You are saying, "Do it my way or get the fuck out." You are taking away their ability to decide for themselves and are imposing your own view upon everyone. On the other hand, allowing birth control to be available does not hinder you in influencing your children and friends to see your way. You are still free to teach abstinence as much as you want. I just rambled for a long time there. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

You want to make a GIANT social change. I mean that is a freaking huge thing to try and change EVERYONE'S habits and nature. And from what I see, it is not going so well...even in countries where the Catholic Church has a strong pull. You idea has merit. It WOULD be better if people were taught restraint instead. But it is quite optimistic to believe that you could change everyone's nature. It is nice idea, but much more optimistic than I can be. There is absolutely NO reason why you cannot teach people that abstinence is the best choice while ensuring they know the proper tools for when they falter. Time for me to go home.

I am talking about a monogamous relationship where both partners know the score and love each other. Should they never get to be intimate in that way because they cannot use protection? Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
-
My point is that promiscuity is not a new thing. It did not arise because of condoms. It has been around for ages and will continue to be around for ages. That is a fact. Because of that fact, it is a good choice to give those people the choice to be safe. You want to take that choice away. But in the end, it will not stop promiscuity. Especially with the increase in STDs in today's day and age, it will just ensure that number continues to increase. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

So, if you make a conscious decision to be with someone who has an STD, no sex for you? Or do you just have to get STD too? I mean, you are taking a chance regardless, but at least with a condom you are TRYING to keep from getting a disease. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
