    Sorry Lori, your L had always looked like a lower case i to me i stand corrected I thought the same thing. In other news, I believe I may go with the HC90.     I had no idea that wildcards worked. Should have tried that. Thanks. It is not me that said the HC96 replaced the PC1000. It was multiple camera stores online. They all say that they don't sell the PC1000 anymore and to buy the HC96 instead. They may have sold concurrently, but the HC96 is now being pushed as the replacement.     Also, I just saw that the HC96 is what replaced the PC1000 in Sony's line. Anyone have a comparison? The PC1000 is 3-chip, while the HC96 is 1-chip. Is the difference noticable or is the technolgy advanced enough that the 1-chip is just as good as the 3-chip? Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

    Yes, I saw that. Unfortunately, there are no miniDV models there. Just Hi8, Digital8 and mini-dvd (which I imagine would have some problems with skipping...if I am wrong, let me know). Thanks though.

    I have searched the forum for quite a bit for "reviews" and opinions on cameras, but most seem to be about older models such as the PC line. I would be glad to possess one of these models but I have been burned very badly on ebay with high price purchases and I am leary to use it again. So I am looking at current models. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be much written about newer cameras here. Just bits a pieces. So am I creating this thread as a place to put your reviews. It would be nice to have a centralized location. Hell, maybe cameras should have their own section in 'Gear.' Could those who have recently bought a video camera give me your opinions? I have been looking mostly at Sony (HC line) and Canon but I am open to all. And if there is some place to purchase older models without the hazards of ebay, I would be grateful.     Sorry dude, but when you purposefully choose to engage in intercourse when you know fertility to be low, then you ARE doing something to avoid conception. You are taking steps to reduce the risk of pregnancy. Yes, there is a chance that you can still get pregnant, but it is the same with condoms. You are just using the bodies rhythms to decrease chances instead of a plastic barrier or a pill. But you are trying to decrease it nonetheless. I believe John has made you lose focus on the fact that I already wrote this point. And now it is time for me to go home.

    If you think you can learn nothing from those who are religious just because they subscribe to something you have no FAITH in, I feel sorry for you. You may not become a believer, but there is always something to learn in the process. For instance, in this debate, I looked up alot of information about STDs, NFP, and birth control to supplement my knowledge. Do I think I will change micro's mind?
