I sure hope Java is a lot better than when I learned it. Of course, that was around they time they came out with Swing classes for it but it was damn slow. I did like writing it though. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Some people DO like COBOL. Mostly, they are old. Well, you will have no fear of writing one word to do everything in COBOL. You have to write everything out Here is an example of just getting 3 numbers and adding or multiplying them $ SET SOURCEFORMAT"FREE" IDENTIFICATION DIVISION. PROGRAM-ID. Iteration-If. AUTHOR. Michael Coughlan. DATA DIVISION. WORKING-STORAGE SECTION. 01 Num1 PIC 9 VALUE ZEROS. 01 Num2 PIC 9 VALUE ZEROS. 01 Result PIC 99 VALUE ZEROS. 01 Operator PIC X VALUE SPACE. PROCEDURE DIVISION. Calculator. PERFORM 3 TIMES DISPLAY "Enter First Number : " WITH NO ADVANCING ACCEPT Num1 DISPLAY "Enter Second Number : " WITH NO ADVANCING ACCEPT Num2 DISPLAY "Enter operator (+ or *) : " WITH NO ADVANCING ACCEPT Operator IF Operator = "+" THEN ADD Num1, Num2 GIVING Result END-IF IF Operator = "*" THEN MULTIPLY Num1 BY Num2 GIVING Result END-IF DISPLAY "Result is = ", Result END-PERFORM. STOP RUN. I like my more modern high level languages. I can worry more about doing cool stuff and being creative rather than remembering the syntax. On the other hand, them there COBOL jobs pay big I bet. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

There certainly are alot of legacy systems around. COBOL is a very powerful language. But writing it sucks ass. You can take all the COBOL jobs, cause I will not be going for any of them Writing COBOL programs is like writing a frickin novel. I swear to god, that is some of the lengthiest code I have written. You are making the assumption that everyone KNOWS their system is open. It is not apparent to the average consumer. They would need to know the problem exists to call a "guru". But whatever, use the bandwidth all ya want. Like I said, my ethics on this topic are low... plus my system is locked. But don't assume that users are smart enough or savvy enough to recognize problems they cannot see. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
-
. Mine did not. It allowed you to choose to put up a firewall yes, but to lock the bandwidth down you had to create a passkey and actually know what locking is and mine is a pretty standard Linksys. Bottom line is that if you are using a neighbors bandwidth without paying for it, it is unethical. Would I do it? Well, my ethics are a bit lacking so.... EDIT: Damn Beowulf, are you standing behind me? Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Thank god that never happened Jen At least they didn't say COBOL. ick. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

The problem with that is that the average homeowner with braodband does not know HOW to lock their system down. I can bet most of them are not leaving open to be generous. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Which reminds me of the Internet History Timeline: http://web.archive.org/web/20040209022345/http://www.thelemon.net/issues/timeline.php Take a look at the LAST entry Also of interest is that I used the Web History tool available at archive.org. Lets you look at web pages from the past (timeline is from the lemon and that site is no more) Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Crystal or Franks. But I do not consider either to be truly "hot" sauces. They are just tasty

Difference between real life and the internet

Red vs Blue is hilarious. That is an old one but still one of the best. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. -
Chocolate is like wine. It's hard to go wrong. Possible, but difficult. Someone at work gave me some chocolate yesterday from Japan. It tasted like hickory Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

The last three >$150 bottles I've bought have been terrible. The first two I dumped, the third got set aside while we drank a couple decent bottles, then guzzled just on principle. I see your problem right there Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Actually, blanc and gris/grigio are two different wines. Blues, Dave That is what I smeant. Each of the three -- gris, noir, and blanc -- make three different wines that are called the same names as the grape they are made from. As far as getting the wrong one....I have had some HEINOUS wines before by picking the wrong one. And if you like dry but someone gets a really sweet one (like kool-aid sweet), you probably will hate it (as I would). Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

I particularely like: 3. Carry at least 60 pounds of ice cubes at all times. A baby penguin’s body temperature can reach over 200,000 degrees, and shoving ice cubes down their throat as they are trying to burn you with their acid-spit significantly reduces your chance of injury Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. I should hope so. I would not want my wine tasting like say...rotten fish. But it is oh so delicious. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

How about a Pinot Meunier? okay, technically it is not a wine, but is the grape type...as are pinot noir, gris (grigio), and blanc. Blut those last three make wines of the same name. Pinot Meunier is used to make champagne, although the regualr wine is made in some places though not as popular edit: DAMN! Girlfalldown beat me to it!! Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. My first rig was totally used. My second rig, which will be complete mid Feb will contain my current Cypres, a used main and reserve but the container will be new. For your first rig, i would definitely go with used. There is alot of good stuff out there. But if you can't find a container that fits you well, you could do like I did and just buy that part new. I never call anyone a bitch just for being confident or taking control. What I DO call someone a bitch for is when they are: - being excessively unreasonable - making constant snide comments about things they don't like - being mean to someone just cause they are new Things of that nature. For girls, they get the bitch label. For guys they get called a dick. Assholes? Well, we all got em, so I use the term indiscriminately Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. It is very hard to blow up text. It works in the movies and 24, but making clear text from pixels which are already blurry is very tough in real life. However, in the first picture you can see what looks like a A license yellow card on the shelf. I think this may be a real guy, just an idiot... or a newbie. Or an idiot newbie who stole some gear. But at the very least, I think he is a skydiver. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Shit!! How do I get the damn thing in the bag!?!?
GTAVercetti replied to Jeth's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I packed once before getting my license. Then I bought my own rig just in time for a RW camp a team was holding at my DZ. I packed for each jump both days. Granted we were not jumping every other load, but I made it in plenty of time for every jump I was on. I started taking about an hour to pack, but over those two days, I dropped 30 minutes off that time. Now I can pack in about 10 minutes if I really need to hurry. I usually take about 15 though cause I don't usually jump every other load Just keep at it. Once you get past that first steep time curve, it gets MUCH easier.
