More fish information (more detailed info about what we said about salmon): "The average wild salmon has about 10x less pesticides than the average farm-raised (due to pesticide river run-off and contaminated feed affecting the farm-raised). U.S. salmon are less polluted than most European or Scottish salmon. The farther north any salmon is caught, the colder, and more omega-3 fatty acids it has to have in order to avoid freezing to death. Salmon have a 3-5 year life cycle depending on the species. I would suggest canned pink salmon (99% of canned salmon is from Alaska and therefor wild) as an inexpensive source (pink and chum have short life cycles, eat a lot of red algae for omega 3's, and tend to be less polluted; chum is hard to find). Brave people can pick up the tall 15oz can (at the 99 cent store, or at Trader Jo's) with the salmon's tail, including the skin (extra omega-3) and edible bones (great calcium) for low cost incredible nutrition. Sardines are another excellent source of omega-3 (try the 2 layer pack from Norway), and even shorter-lived than salmon" Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Here ya go. Basically, what we were saying: Eating Fish
-
There are concerns over health of unborn babies and Tuna because of mercury. To me, canned tuna is like the carp of the seafood world. Tuna steak is okay on ocassion. Salmon is pretty damn good for you. Fish is often called brain food. It is smart to eat it and good for you.

The fat in most fish is Omega-3...which is good for you. Fish is a great source of protein as well at this fat. Many cultures eat alot of fish. I cannot see why eating it once a day would be bad. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

No position above, just a question topic proposed. In fact, I think he went out of the way on purpose to avoid taking a position. Well at least someone took the position on his lack of position. This would not be speaker's corner without that! Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Could you live the rest of your life single??
GTAVercetti replied to windcatcher's topic in The Bonfire
I have always thought in the back of my mind that I would be single my whole life. Right now though, I am dating a pretty cool chick and it is good. But I am pretty sure I don't want to ever get married. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. -
I never chase. But being chased is okay.. if she is hot of course. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

I actually did that a few weeks ago. I made my loop too tight. Had a HELL of a time pulling it up enough to get the pin. Finally did. And then I picked it up by the bridle. Set it down and lengthened the closing loop. As for not messing with the loop...I was trained in the ISP course on how to change the loop and how tight it should be. To me, that is not something you need to have 1000 jumps to know. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

I am also an independent...leaning towards libertarian....which is where I think being liberal really lies. The site where that article comes from contains some of the best political reading I have ever read. They also publish a magazine for those who want hard copy. This is a very interesting article on how liberalism has been distorted by US politics: Free to B&B Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

This is not a reply directly to rasmack: If you do not have a subscription to Reason magazine, you should. This is the response over this situation from my weekly Reason mailing list: "Italian outrage over American troops in Iraq firing on the car carrying just-released ex-hostage Giuliana Sgrena is a bit over-the-top and seems designed to obscure a far more important issue. Yes, any accidental shooting in a war zone is a tragic thing, but some perspective puts the onus back on the Italians to explain what they were up to in Iraq. The story - that U.S. troops just suddenly opened up on the one car carrying a just-released journalist and her Italian secret service driver - never made sense. In the absence of any real indication of what happened, the more likely story is that the driver was using evasive driving tactics to skirt U.S. checkpoints and troops. That sort of thing does not go unnoticed by soldiers, not after months in-country. Even less sensible is Sgrena's claim that she was somehow targeted by U.S. troops, yet made it home. The far bigger issue is the attempt to secretly pay ransom for Sgrena's release. There is no doubt that the six million-euro ransom will soon be put to use killing more Iraqis and Americans. Further, it guarantees that more Western hostages will be taken, especially European ones, female if possible. This is not the moral high ground, and the Italian government and Sgrena know it." Something I don't get: fighting/wrestling/boxing
GTAVercetti replied to Vallerina's topic in The Bonfire
I took Tae Kwon Do for 4 years with friends of mine. We had no problem fighting each other because it is in a controlled enviroment. Ocassionally we got hurt sure, but we knew that it was just an accident. The satisfaction came from becoming stronger and the knowledge that if I needed to defend myself, i could. What type of martial arts school were you going too? Judo? That would be a grappling, wrestling one. If you want something with less wrestling, try tae kwon do or perhaps Kung Fu. Edit to add: I agree with Bouda, capoeria is frickin awesome and a very good workout. Alot more like dancing. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. -
That does not sound stupid at all. However, I have not gotten any sensation of falling unless it was from a helicopter. But I understand the freedom of movement part. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

I first started to try sitflying around jump 175. My reason were: 1) I wanted to be good enough on my belly that I could still jump in formations with RW friends 2) I am in the process of completing my coach rating 3) Since freeflying is really supposed to be all directions, belly is just as important. Overall, I think belly has really helped me learn to fly with people...to be aware of them, and to adjust fallrate..all at speeds that are not as dramatic as freeflying. I have been mostly doing RW since I got my license. I am going to start freeflying more this summer. However, I do not plan to stop RW anytime soon. It is still fun. As has been already said, just being in the sky.... Is fun. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

IF you read his last line, I believe he was saying that he chooses not to swear. However, I see no reason not to use swear words in tandem with more a "dignified" vocabulary. I will not rule out 7 or so words from my vocabulary simply because they have been NAUGHTY. But then again, you would not believe the raping and pillaging that "fuck" does on a nightly basis. It's most definately a word that is horrible and should never be uttered in a sentence. It is probably the most evil word I have ever seen. For instance is it much nicer, when killing someone, to day, "I am going to cut you from penis to cranium and then waltz on your lower intestines." than to say, "I am going to fucking cut you from dick to fucking head and then breakdance on you fucking guts." Using the polite terminology, it almost seems okay to kill someone...so long as you don't swear of course. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

has anyone jumped with their ipod? (or .mp3 player)
GTAVercetti replied to superman0710's topic in The Bonfire
If you were going to do it..wait until you have alot more jumps. At my jump numbers, I would not do it. Too much distraction. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. -
Mexico is not in Central America. It is in North America. As for calling ourselves Americans or breaking it down into heritage, this is an joke that I used to get into with my Mexican roommate in college. Everytime I called myself an American, she was like, "So am I. I too am from North America." It is just too hard to say United Statians. I only give my heritage if someone specifically asks. It is the same thing where people say Italian-American or Polish-American or African-American. In my opinion, if you are born here, then you are plain American unless you have dual citzenship somewhere else. Hypenating is dumb. Plus, I just don't feel like saying I am Ukranian-Polish-German-British-American. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
