If it is stored in fat cells.. how can a drink possibly rid your body of the substance? Doesn't make too much sense to me... "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham

I reckon the best thing to do would be to get some video (once you feel a bit more comfortable w/ daffy). Its kinda hard to tell if you're putting even pressure on your legs without video or atleast a reference point. A lot of people will put uneven pressure on their legs causing them to backslide, or drive or whatever. Personally, I like daffy for when I am falling really slow, its easier for me to get more of my legs exposed. Some things you can practice on your head next time you are doing solos: Get a pull-up cord and pass it behind your back, under a leg, above (or under?) your head.. just practice staying super stable while doing other things with your hands. It will help you later on when you're taking more docks and stuff. Something I always liked to try and do on solos was to stick my hand out in front of me like I was taking a dock, and then practice doing transitions around it. Can you do a cartwheel only using one arm? It probably won't be long till the daffy feels super stable and comfortable... I looooove daffy! Just feels right. Anyways.. hope I could help a little bit. -Karen "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham

So basically.. you're going to tell your wife: "Honey, I think that I should go on a skydiving trip alone.. I'm only doing this for the good of our relationship.. I don't want to.. I just think it would be best for both of us." hahah, She'll see right through that one! "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham

I still get excited everytime that I see skydiving in the media.. even when it is the same picture over and over again. If I saw it on some hot cocoa mix, you bet I would be buying it! I better go out and buy a subaru now... "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham

My parents don't technically support me anymore, the only thing they pay for is car insurance. (The car is under their name.) Because I am going to school in a different state, to get in state tuitition, we had to cut the umbilical cord. Which is one of the reasons I want a credit card! I essentially have one through my parents now, I can use their card, but I pay them back as fast as I can. I'm just trying to be more independent, instead of continually asking them for loans. Yeah, I've got perfect renters history, but it doesn't help at all. If I had a credit card and used that to pay rent, then paid the credit card company, I would have great credit! (not saying I want to do that, just an example of how weird the credit system can be.) "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham

Skyblu, do you have a credit card? "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham
-
Hmm... didn't know walmart had a credit card, thats a really good idea! If I were to be approved for any credit card, it would surely be the walmart one! I'll go check that one out today.. Since I buy most of my clothes at the DZ.. don't think a department store card would help. :) Getting credit is frustrating.. I've been turned down for apartments because of my lack of credit history. Everyone says don't get a credit card, but what about when I need a new (to me) car someday, and a house, or just a new apartment... I hear some employers are even doing credit checks before hiring people.. "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham

Since you're basically calling me irresponsible, let me explain my offensive actions. I'm going to get back about 600 from the apartment that I currently live in from the security deposit. However, I can't get that check before I move into the new place. My past security deposit is going to be more than enough to pay for the upcoming one... Therefore.. I should be able to pay off the amount that will be put onto a credit card within a month. Please, when you don't even know me, do not infer that I am irresponsible, thats just being rude. Drunk Monkey: don't worry, my drug dealer doesn't accept credit cards. I've been putting on my applications employed and student... I shouldn't leave off the employed part, should I? I'm trying to avoid the secured credit card route... How is it any different than a check card? (Besides building your credit.) Lawrocket: I figured I could get that much too, but nobody will give me a chance! "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham

I am a student, and I've never seen credit card companies on our tiny campus. I'm 21 and I have gotten 1 credit card offer in the mail, ever. I applied to that and was turned down. "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham

So I pretty much have no credit history.. my roommates have always been the ones to have bills put in their names. The very few bills that have been in my name have always been paid on time. I'm trying to get a credit card now and am having a tough time finding anyone to approve me. So.. anybody know of any cards that don't require the best credit? I figure that skydivers are probably pretty knowledgeable in the bad credit department. -Please.. no lectures on how credit cards will ruin my life, I'm getting this one to put a security deposit for my new apartment on it.
