Ok.. so I am being a bit dramatic. But I truly am against strip clubs. If you had a daughter who grew up and stripped in order to support herself during college so that you didn't need to help her financially, would you call that the choice of a strong independent woman? I highly doubt it. I am not saying that I hate strippers, but I really do feel sorry for them. I was pretty good friends with a girl who kept trying to get out of the business without much luck. I heard her stories about what it was really like there and that a number of the girls also did some prostitution on the side. I also saw the business as a factor in the decay of her marriage. I just don't think that people get into this business without having some issues, whether the issue was child-abuse, or having low self-worth and figuring that this is the only route in which they could make a liveable wage. I'm anti strip clubs in general. I've never known a stripper who didn't have some major issues. (Child hood problems, abusive relationships.. etc.) In that regard.. I consider going to the strip club the exploitation of disabled people. It's like watching retarded people get naked. I think we can all agree that that is not something that is right. I don't like it when guys do that. There is a greater tendency for a negative attitude about women to accompany that sort of behavior. Not negative in that women are bad or something.. but negative in the sense that our opinions on important matters, like politics, business, religion aren't valued as much.
