  1. PD ships with risers only, you will have to set it up in your rig with your rigs d-bag and pilot chute. You will have to pay for return shipping, the cost of shipping it to you is in the $30 dollar demo fee.
  2. Cut in laterals: when your rig is wider than your back... anti twist risers? unsure, but hard housing can make cutaway eaisier when the risers are twisted.
  3. Did you order directly with Dakind, or through a dealer?
  4. Yes you can remove them,(BUMPERS) and the slider will continue further down the risers. Beware this could block your view of your toggles or worse knock one loose. Be heads up and familiar with canopy control and use of rear risers.
  5. I have a question about this but it involves S/L training instead of Tandem. S/L training, 2 safe exits, 3 PRCP's for a total of 5 s/l jumps. Then the student does a 5 second delay, and is supposed to go to a 10 second delay. However this particular DZ takes them to the highest altitude after the 5 second delay. Two S/l instructors make a gripped exit with the student and he finishes his S/L training this way. They do not call it AFF, since a S/L instructor may make group/linked (notice I'm not calling it harness-hold) exits with students, just cant pull for the student. After the student has been cleared to freefall, ANY Instructor may jump with this student. Although the question lies upon what is ethical, can any of you point out any rules that would contridict this style or meathod? Thank you.
  6. Ditto- twisted lanyard has caused many- o- totals. It is SO easy to gear check, but it is also easy to twist the lanyard if you don't know what you are doing. You know.......every one who has BOC checks to see if there pilot chute is cocked (colored in window) I wonder how many pull out's get geared checked for twisted lanyards.

  8. But isn't a total defined by the dbag never leaving the container? Bag Lock or a streamer are both partials, and bag lock may be the fastest of them all. ---------------------------------------------------------- A total mal is not being able to pull the main deployment handle. IF......... you have pulled the mian deployment handle and the result is a bag lock or a streamer it is a partial mal. IF you have pulled the main deployment handle and have a contianer lock(D bag does not leave the contianer, handle will not compleatly release) then it is a total mal. Regardless, high speed or slow speed, IMO or in my course: If the main deployment handle has been pulled, a cutaway before reserve deployment is taught. Also IF e- procedures has not fixed the problem, or can not find the cutaway handle the RESERVE handle musy be pulled no lower than 1000 AGL.
  9. Post: From the video I assume it was a line over and definitely a line over on the reserve that was out without cutting away the main! Bad sequence!!!!Lesson learned
  10. I have jumped my wife 3 times at a Tandem course. She has over 450 jumps (solo) and is a USPA coach and IAD Instrictor. Under canpoy she told me how proud of me she was. It was kinda nice, never had the fear of "what if we both die" however we have no childeren either. Hope this helps.

You either have a malfunction or not. Everything else is just an "Issue". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My instruction had "high speed" and "low speed" malfuctions, with stress that the HS ones needed to be dealt with immediately, generally by cutaways. Can't recall how quickly we were supposed to deal with the low speed. But the distinction probably served me well when I left the first DZ and discovered that canopy openings don't result immediately in open square chutes. I thought I was having a rash of stalled sliders and/or end cell closure issues, and was pumping the toggles to 'fix' it. -------------------------------------------------------- What I was taught was there are tow types of mals. 1. total 2. partial these two type fall in to 2 categories High speed and low speed. Either needs to be corrected by 2500 feet, or E- procedures by 2000 feet. So it is the altitude that determines if it is a high speed or low speed.

  15. Is your profile old? if so then how dare you! If not then how are you a tandem instructor with less than 300 jumps? If your dz wants to charge skyride more then good for them. If they want too turn away business all together then good for them. Thats their right and I dont care. As far as your moral crisis youre having over jumping a skyride client. Well.........that just freaks me out! If youre taking tandems with less than 500 jumps, then that should be yours and your DZO's real moral crisis. Tell me your profile is old. Please! Then get off my back about my proflie and update yours so that you dont look like a liar . Dont mean to be ugly, but im not even sure you are telling the truth.

Maybe it is time you start considering seperating more, and becoming more independent from each other. If your wife dosen't have enough respect for you and signs emails to another romantic involved man that she loves him then it is time to re-anilize your relationship. DO you look at other wemon? Fantisize about them? internet porn? IF you answer no and you feel she is walking all over you then you need to be the man and take a stand. Cut off the phone lines to the house, stop buying her items she uses agains you (lap tops). Tell her she is important and she is hurting you, IF it persists then tell her to go to him, I believe wemon are evil and she is playing you, letting you make the mistake that you pay alomony while she is cali. in the arms of this younger man.   17. With your profile blank what else is to be expected. In your original post in reply to Phreezone you stated in your opening sentence that Skyride was guilty but why such a big deal? You will find people here are passoniate about Skyride, and there are those who just follow the thread. There are those whos business are directly affected by Skyride, and there are just jumpers who are offended by the fact that skyride ripped off potential members. You will have to decide if it is worth it to continue to defend skyride, you will find you are talking to a "brick wall" in defense of Skyride illeagal practices. As a Tandem Instructor I have actually jumped Skyride certificates. It was an issue that I struggled with for some time and I posted it HERE just a few pages back. I didn't flame I just stated facts and NO ONE flamed me for it. Simple put why should someone who has figured out that they have over paid for a certificate not be able to redeem the purchase price and use another contractor with a cheaper price for the same service? After the encounter I told our DZO to up his price for skyride, our price is 180 and their is over 200 but only pay us 145. I told him we should charge Skyride full price sense NO ONE ELSE will accept there certificates, They will have to raise their prices, or fail. IN the end it will be the whuffo who will pay for their immoral practices. SO....you call them a booking agent? I call them a parasite. ----------------------------------------------------------

Question to everyone: Does the change in air pressure when riding in a plane cause people to fart more than normal?   21. -If you land on someone else private land, you are trespassing- --------------------------------------------------------- I must have misunderstood from my original Instructor who told me that a skydiver or a pilot can declare an emerengcy at any time and land where they fell is safe. IE...can't make it back, transfer your landing pattern to an open field else where. IS this a factual statement? or does is fall in to the category of what the state laws are?
