Thats a tougher call to make, but I'd still say you are alone in the ways that mean something if you are in a chat room. On the phone even, but to an even fuzzier degree. I define "real" socializing as being physically in the same place because in that environment you are much more vulnerable. You have to pay attention to not only what you say, but also monitor facial expression and body language in an effort to communicate. Much more risk, and much more reward possible as well. Phone, chat, and forum posting are all done in a "safe" or protected environment. You can pretty much say whatever you like without fear of any real reprisals in the "real" world. In these environments, people seldom act as they would in a real public place. This is just my own opinion. Yours may differ and be equally as valid. __ My mighty steed

One way to check the validity of these types of e-mails is to examine the SMTP header to see if the originating server is actually operated by the company that is allegedly sending the message. I've received several messages lately that appeared to be genuine (except where they ask me to supply information) but when I looked at the headers they came from servers in european countries. __ My mighty steed

Try disabling the antivirus software temporarily and see if that fixes it. I've seen Norton cause issues in the past. If there is content on that page that Norton doesnt like, maybe active-x or jsp pages that it views as potentially harmful, it can block them. __ My mighty steed

Proxy? I run my machines through a proxy. Some sites are intentionally inaccessible from some workstations for security reasons while still being on the same subnet. Specific IP addresses are blocked. Also, some types of http commands are permitted and some are not. Some workstations are not permitted to pass a POST operation to the server. __ My mighty steed

Hey Dude! Got home at 1:30 AM last night, got 4 hours of sleep, and back to work today! Worth ever tired second! I had a blast! It was sweet meeting a bunch of dz.commers face to face. The weather rocked all 4 days. Z-Hills is awesome! First big ways rocked and its was great to have you shooting video! I met you (chopchop) Vinnie the Anvil, Arlo, Ron, The111, and a bunch of other I cant ever remember everyone. If I forgot someone please dont be hurt. IT was great to meet you. I think people may be confused by my statements. i am not claiming that this is how it SHOULD be in all situations. I'm merely stating that this is what I was drilled in.
