  1. I would have instituted that policy by snatching the phone off her head and crushing it under my foot while wearing a "have you completely taken leave of your senses?" expression on my face __ My mighty steed
  2. The hell with that. Then the man can find you anywhere. Not for any amount of money. Uh uh. __ My mighty steed
  3. In short, nope. Pay me a decent piece of change to do it and I'll consider it. Until then, I simply dont see the thrill or the point. Why bother? Just so you can imagine yourself a wild, free, nutty person? Yippee! . __ My mighty steed
  4. That’s how I feel about it. What could possibly be told about flight 93 that is not already known. Anything added in this movie is pure speculation. I can already tell by the trailers that it will be a manipulative, over dramatized, sappy tear jerker. I really hope people aren’t interested in rushing out to see this movie when it opens. It doesn’t really matter to me if the movie is good or bad. I just feel wrong about walking up to a ticket booth and paying 10 bucks to see something that is a total fictionalization of the true events. Do I want to see a director’s interpretation/fantasy? If the director knows something about what happened on that plane, the public should not have to pay for that information. I totally agree with your views on this. We all know what happened and dont need to see some idiots "artistic interpretation" or absurdly patriotic and overly sentimental dramatization of those events. Save the film for the next generation and then make it a documentary, not a ridiculous hollywood feature. I can only imagine the mockery they will make of the "Lets Roll" scene __ My mighty steed
  5. Wow. Poor guy. All finished at 19 years old :-) You realize that you will never be able to perform adequately again after this and soon enough, no woman will want you. No worries, it was probably too small anyway so your debilitating impotence will actually save you from future embarassment __ My mighty steed
  6. In my opinion, as long as your nasal passages and sinuses are open and clear, you are fine. A little runny nose isnt a problem. Its pressure changes on blocked sinuses that cause trouble. __ My mighty steed
  7. Because they NEVER have water training at any time I can attend :-) Its as simple as that. __ My mighty steed
  8. Become too expensive??, I made my first jumps in 1989. It was already too expensive. Today its absolutely appalling, but I continue to pony up the bucks.
  9. New gear should be arriving around the same time as good weather April-ish
  10. Sometimes when you sell gear, they go to really good homes
  11. Nope. My best jumping buddy is still my buddy off the DZ. We have other common interests. We did some hot jumps together and I'm hoping to continue that :-) __ My mighty steed
  12. Quit or not, I would have sold the gear anyway. Had that not been the case, I would have waited to see if I was serious about quitting before selling it. I needed the $$ for something fast and it was the biggest value I owned at the time. It had the go. The upside is I can now begin to anticipate my new rig which I have designed to look even better than the previous one and have added hip rings to the options which I didnt have on the old one. The downside is that my old canopy was just starting to get packable, and now I'll have to start from scratch with new Zero-P. Aint life a biotch? __ My mighty steed
  13. I havent jumped since Sept 4 and I posted a few months ago that I decided to quit jumping. I even sold my rig. Well, not jumping doesnt seem to sit well with me. Think about it all the time, and I'm having regular skydiving dreams. At least a couple per week and those are just the ones I remember :-) Well, I've decided to quit quitting. I'm placing an order for new gear next week and will be back in the sky in a couple months! I wasnt gone very long, but I sure did miss you
  14. Nope. But I am between chutes at the moment
  15. par·a·chute n. 1. An apparatus used to retard free fall from an aircraft, consisting of a light canopy attached by cords to a harness and worn or stored folded until deployed in descent. 2. Any of various similar unpowered devices that are used for retarding free-speeding or free-falling motion. A canopy is a parachute by definition. Calling it a "chute" is perfectly acceptible whether I fly on my belly or freefly or jump a vector or dolphin. If it bothers you, then you can feel overjoyed that you live in a society in which you have the leisure to give a shit about something this meaningless
  16. Paypal and Ebay have pages where you can report fraudulent e-mails like this. They get the sites shut down pretty fast too. I've gotten many of those in the last few year and I just report them to the folks the messages are pretending to be. Paypal e-mail fraud page Ebay security page __ My mighty steed
  17. Can you say "sweeping generalization"? That may well be true, in your socio-economic group. Guess what? Your (our) socio-economic group represents a small minority compared to the general population. Very small. Most teenagers (worldwide) have far less than we did at our most poor. __ My mighty steed
  18. I'd go see them because Brian May is a great guitar player, but I dont think its Queen without Freddie anymore than the Dead is the Dead without Jerry Garcia. They should call themselves something else. __ My mighty steed

    Fear of clowns

I'm not afraid of clowns, but its pretty clear that they are evil __ My mighty steed
  20. I've still got my clubs, guitars, motorcycle, etc. No bowling balls though __ My mighty steed
  21. Right now the next thing is martial arts, bodybuilding, motorcycle riding, writing music/playing guitar, and a family that I want to have some time for
  22. I'm not disillusioned. I love jumping. I just cant give it the attention that it not only deserves, but requires. Someday I may well rejoin your ranks. There just isnt room for it right now :-) __ My mighty steed
  23. I'm not really all that concerned about being hurt. Thats a part of it, sure, but not really the deciding factor. My focus is elsewhere right now. Thats really about the biggest thing. Who knows, maybe I'll be back someday. I'm closing the door, but I'm not locking it or throwing away the key :-) __ My mighty steed
