I would simply leave the unit off until its repaired to your satisfaction. My preference would be to jump with no AAD rather than one that may not be relied upon to function properly __ My mighty steed

You Can't Just Tell Yourself There are no Snakes Under Your Desk...

Thats where you are wrong. __ My mighty steed -
Safe? Sure. It seems unlikely that it would actually hurt you. As long as you aren't relying on it to save your ass, which you shouldn't be doing even if it was working properly. __ My mighty steed

I smoked 2+ packs of Marlboro reds for 25 years. Went cold turkey 6 years ago and never looked back. I no longer miss it and feel freakin great about the fact that I'm no longer a human ashtray headed for an early grave with no money because smoking costs so fucking much. Who would imagine it could cost so much to kill yourself? Just like quitting booze. One day at a time. Dont think about forever. Just deal with today. You CAN quit. The most important factor is that you have to really WANT to quit. Doing it because you think you should or because someone else thinks you should is a waste of time and doomed to fail. If YOU really WANT it, you will succeed. __ My mighty steed

One thing you may not have experienced in your previous training is having a lot of square feet of wet nylon on top of you in the water. In my water training you jump in the pool wearing the gear while they are holding the canopy. Once you are in the water they throw the canopy on top of you. Important thing here being to loosen all the straps and then swim DOWN and out of the harness and out from under the canopy and lines before coming back up or you will become entangled and maybe drown. Hopefully this was covered in your course since its one of the main points. __ My mighty steed

How Superstitious a Skydiver are you?

I have a prayer I say before the plane leaves the runway on every jump. Its for everyone on the load and I never neglect to say it. __ My mighty steed -
For myself, if its only been 2 or 3 weeks since I packed it, I'll jump it as is, but if its been 4 or more weeks I'll repack it. But thats just me. __ My mighty steed

Umm they actually say that loosing weight for a guy can help increase the erection size as there is more skin to stretch. Thanks for trying to preach science to me. I guess I forgot to read that part in the books when I was in pre-med. Well, you cant argue with his source. "They" say that it is so, therefore its a fact. "They" are the ultimate authority. __ My mighty steed

That seems like an awfully high number if they have only one Otter. It would have to fly 26 loads a day 365 days a year... I think they are using the metric system! Ah OK. Those are metric jumps Otherwise it might not make sense that a DZ that has 3 otters and 3 skyvans and operates year round and boasts a 150,000 jumps average could be doing 80,000 jumps less than a DZ with one Otter and a Porter. __ My mighty steed

Who is the most experience skydiver?
ChrisL replied to camamel's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I merely pointed out that it might not be appropriate for him to belittle Dons accomplishments by comparing them to putt putt golf. I suppose it might be fair to say that I judged his comments and found them to be unworthy of one so experienced. Did I attempt to minimize his skydiving accomplishments or act as if I was in a position to judge them? Absolutely not. __ My mighty steed -

*** And I would say, when you get 36 more years and 11,967 more jumps under YOUR belt...Lekstrom10k might listen to your opnion. Since 37,000 jumps doesn't impress him, it wont matter how many jumps I accumulate. Regardless, I didn't presume to judge him. He did presume to judge Don. Totally different. __ My mighty steed -

I would say that when you get another 26,000 jumps under your belt you can compare Dons achievement to putt putt golf if you still feel like it. __ My mighty steed -

Dont forget the fucktards that cant stay on their own side of the road while coming around a blind curve toward you. My experience tells me that this applies to most people and I cant for the life of me figure out why people are so freakin stupid about this. Stay on your own damn side of the road. How freakin hard is that???? Pretty hard I guess. __ My mighty steed
